Toddlers/Infants don't age up with cake

This just started to happen to me today after the latest update was downloaded. Normal Lifespan

hi! recently in my game, I was throwing a birthday party for one of my infant sims to age her up to a toddler. she was designated as the birthday sim in the party. her mother made a cake and added the candles, but there was no option to help the infant blow out the candles. I hit the "Age a Sim Up" option from the pie menu, and she didn't pop up there either. i tried this with both aging on and aging off, and neither provided a solution. I had to age her up manually through MCCC, but I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue recently or could offer a solution to the problem. thanks!

Hi all, I'm on console and whenever I have the issue with the blow out/help blow out candles not appearing or it's grayed out and unselectable I find moving the cake around and placing it on different counters or tables helps, eventually the options appear on the cake and I can age the kids up. Personally I think it's got something to do with the space around the cake, I've noticed that in my small kitchen it glitches out but if I put the cake outside where there's lots of room around it it tends to work more consistently. Hopefully this tip will help someone 😊

toddler can't age when blowing out the cake candle and gets the "they forgot my birthday" buff

I pushed forward as I needed a child to do the event.  So I just took screen shots along the way cause I felt this was so wrong!!!  If we had been at home just the 2 parents and toddler, then toddler would not have been able to age up!    Neither of Tamar's parents were involved in her birthday party except to give gifts and compliments (reported on another bug thread already open). 

Tamar got a gold party but is getting buff's now as though she hosted the part herself!!!   see the next 3 pictures.  

3 Buff's are coming and going.  1 uncomfortable, 1 sad, and 1 embarrassed - all are for the person(s) who hosted the party!!!!   Tamar's Dad hosted the party - he has not gotten any of the negative buff's and what more crazy -  it was a gold birthday party!
