Towns from owned packs not available in Residential Worlds menu

When going to the Residential Worlds menu to pick a town, even though I have the Lovestrick pack installed the town that belongs to it is greyed out and I am unable to play with it. Other features from the Lovestruck pack seem to be present, I'm only unable to enter the town.

I have tried to repair the game, it didn't seem to do anything. When I hover over it, the town says "World Not Installed. When this pack has finished downloading restart The Sims 4 to install it." When I click it I get the store page for the pack and a message that I already own it.

Try the following (this assumes you are on EA app. If you are using steam, instructions vary)

    • Create a backup of your user files: https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2014/09/backups/
    • Make sure the game and EA app is closed
    • Move the following folder to the desktop: C:\Program Files\EA Games\The Sims 4\EP16 (the path may vary depending on where you install your games, this is the default)
    • Start EA app and click on the three dots in your library and choose manage expansion.
    • Lovestruck should show as uninstalled.
    • Redownload and reinstall it.
    • Start the game to see if it now works.
