Tucked buttoned shirts become 'untucked' when adding too many layer details

Hello,

I have this problem since awhile. I searched a solution to that bug but I couldn't find anything.
Sometimes the shirts or t-shirts overlap on the pant, sometimes it's only certain skinny pants and sometimes it's every pants. I repaired my game a lot of time, but it doesn't help.

I have no mods, no CC.
I only play with the base game kits and packs.

Is it a recurring bug? Is it planned to be solved or am I the only one to have it?

Thank you for your help.

  • Also having this issue with certain skirts. If I remove all jewellery accessories (earrings, necklace), the tucking reverts to what it should be. If I just change the earrings/unseen necklace nothing happens, they need to be removed first. Removing lower accessories did nothing.

Untucked bug. Only 2 visible skirt buttons. (Accessories CCSP, top/shoes LD, skirt CoL, gloves MWS)

Once head accessories removed, top tucks correctly (4 buttons visible)

Mac, mods removed (fresh save). Sim placed from the gallery.

  • Can confirm the issue for me happened after layering multiple tattoos with the new B&H system, with multiple different tops. Everything she had on was from EA, nothing was modded.

Shirt untucked with all of her tattoos and accessories.Shirt tucked after removing her tattoos

For reference, she had 10 total tattoos. She had one from each body part category except her head. She also had:

    • makeup (lips, eyeshadow, and liner)
    • facial freckles
    • nails
    • earrings
    • socks
    • a bracelet
    • necklace
    • three rings

with this particular outfit (so 12 total items, 22 with the tats). When I messed around with taking individual things off one by one, the shirt went back to normal when I removed EITHER:

    • her makeup and two accessories (5 total items)
    • all of her jewelry and nails (8 total items)
    • exactly 7 tattoos.

I did a lot of messing around with this, so I hope all this information can be helpful!

  • There is a tank top bodysuit from the base game (the first swatch is rainbow) that displays a visual glitch on male Sims that happens when you use accessories (like rings) or face details (like scars). When you add a ring, for example, the bodysuit changes to overlay whatever bottoms the Sims is wearing instead of tucking in. I am a PS5 player, so have no mods to speak of.

  • The Snowy Escape shirt with cutout and heart on the neckline/collar is showing up over pants instead of being tucked in, showing the texture details of the pants.

Could you please provide the following information

    • Are you using mods/cc in your game ? Please remove them and test without them if you do
    •  What platform are you playing on (PC, Mac, Playstation, XBox)
    • I tested this and it works fine for me but there is an issue where too many layers (tattoos, accessory etc) makes the tops untuck. Could you test this on a Sim with just clothing ?

    Whoops, my mistake!

No mods or cc in my game

    I'm playing on Mac

I just tried without accessories and it looks like it was a bracelet getting in the way. Thanks for your help!

  • I have found this happens whenever higher footwear is worn (eg. Boots) or when Sims are wearing a necklace or occasionally bracelets (it’s quite annoying)
