After I updated the sims I have been unable to select traits in cas even after removing all my mods and deleting and reinstalling the game

I have no mods, no CC and the game is updated. If I try to start a new family create a sim has no traits. I've tried repairing, uninstalling and deleting ALL of my saves. Nothing is working. I'm getting so frustrated. Image to show what I'm talking about.
