After I updated the sims I have been unable to select traits in cas even after removing all my mods and deleting and reinstalling the game

Did anyone find a fix for this. I have no mods. No CC. Ive repaired the game multiple times. Ive also deleted caches and have gotten no where. I know theres a work around it but is there a fix for it?
