Unable to select traits in CAS

hello! as mentioned in the title, the trait panel is not showing up in game. i literally just downloaded ts4 to my macbook and so do not have any custom content or mods downloaded - my trait panel is just gone. i have tried to repair my game through the ea app but the issue persists. if anyone could help me that would be really appreciated! i miss playing the sims and i don’t have any other households to play as 😭 image linked is just a visual of the problem 

In Create a Sim mode, the trait panel is not appearing at all. When I try to customize a Sim's traits or select other options, the panel simply does not show up on the screen. I have tried updating the game and also disabling my mods, but nothing works.

I'm also having this issue. I have no mods in my folder and it's still not showing the traits in Cas.

I stopped using mods 

I obviously forgot to hit the Publish button a week ago... Since then, I found a work around, so I'm publishing it anyway in case others can find it useful. The problem described below happens only if I enter CAS to create a new household (the bottom-right icon). If I then save the household and move them into a lot, editing it will show traits as normal. So - it seems to be a glitch with new households only.

I just created a new household, the traits were not showing so I did removed certain mods and added a few at a time with restarts, until I found which file must have been the problem. Then, the traits were back and I could complete my creation.

Now I started to create a 2nd household, and what worked with the previous project is no longer working... the 3 trait icons are blank again. So, the culprit mod might  not have been the problem afterall?

If anyone had something similar, pls share. I paced my game yesterday when installing Life & Death. Everything else seems to run fine. I don't understand why the feature works with one household but not the next.

i'm also having this issue!! even 4 months later lol. Anyone know how to fix it?

I want to start by saying I don't have any mods and recently cleared the localthumbchache to try and fix the issue so neither of those are the problem. I believe it could have been caused by the recent update since it started after that (and I didn't have any mods prior to the update either) but when I enter CAS there are no traits that show up when making my sim.  If I could have any help I'd appreciate it a lot.

Can anyone help me? Do I have to reinstall the game or something...

Ever since the new update when I'm in CAS my sims traits disappear. 

Please understand this might not be what you think from reading the Subject:

I add new families to my game at least once in a while. When I tried adding a single female to the game, you can see what happened. I suspect this has to do with the new patch.
