Unable to select traits in CAS

If I try to make a new sim on CAS, when I create one sometimes it doesn't give me an option to give my sim traits, it just shows a blank where the traits are supposed to show. So then I can't create my sim. Anyone know how to fix this?

For some reason I'm having the hardest time with missing traits after buying and downloading the small businesses. Even from the initial CAS screen. HELP BEFORE I BEAT THIS PC UP LIKE A CRAZY LADY!

A bug that causes the personality section to disappear I can't fix the bug in the personality section of the Sim creation, what should I do? I press random to create one, but I need it because I can't choose it myself.

I'm also having this issue. I've repaired, uninstalled and reinstalled, deleted weird files, and have no CC or mods. 

I have no mods, no CC and the game is updated. If I try to start a new family create a sim has no traits. I've tried repairing, uninstalling and deleting ALL of my saves. Nothing is working. I'm getting so frustrated.  Image to show what I'm talking about.
