Upgraded beds give two contradictory moodlets

Could you please provide the following information

- Are you using mods/cc in your game ? Please remove them and test without them if you do.

I do not use mods or cc

I don't think this is really a bug, it's more like a quirk. The "sore back" moodlet is from a cheap bed. Upgrading the bed does not counteract the fact that it's cheap.

They do kind of contradict each other though.

There was an old report at AHQ for this and there Maxis said it was a bug. Not exactly sure what is by design but you should not get both a the same time.

Oh yeah, I agree that it doesn't make sense logically, but in programming terms a "bug" is when the code does something unexpected or incorrect given the programming. To me, this result is a natural (if silly) consequence of the programming, not an error. Maxis should adjust the code to account for this situation, but it doesn't surprise me that it wasn't considered.

Yeah I couldn't tell if it was just based on personal preference because the other Sim doesn't have the negative moodlet anymore. But it seems a bit odd for one Sim to be complaining about a sore back while also happy about firm it is haha

Could you list both Sims traits ?

Sim without the negative moodlet: Family Orientated, Proper, Cheerful, Domestic, Bookworm, Wise, Quick Learner 

Sim with negative and positive moodlet: Snob, Genius, Domestic, Perfectionist, Quick Learner

Is it to do with the Snob trait perhaps? 

Did you use the same bed for both ? According to the old thread it doesn't happen for all the beds.
