I've had Vampires installed for many years and this was always an issue. Werewolves with the super speed ability have the same problem. If you try to take a dog for a jog is even worse since your sim will be basically on the opposite side of the neighborhood while the dog is still at home, leashed. For now I always had to turn my sim's abilities off everytime I send them for a jog. I've played many saves with both occults, both modded and vanilla. Never thought it was a bug, just one of the many features the team left incomplete..
