Ideas
On Xbox, newest updated version, will not let me claim rewards due to connection issue. However I have restarted my router, disconnected and reconnected my Xbox to the internet, (wireless and wired), have done the internet testing with my Xbox; my Xbox tell me my connection is great, but it still gives me this response when I try to claim them. Any other suggestions?!

I had the same issue last night on PlayStation. Did you notice if your start menu showed signs of being online? Like the news links on the side and such.
It was working in offline mode while actually in play (CAS, BB, live) but was showing online in my start menu. Turned in the event from there, and it's now online properly in live mode.
Not sure if using the event from different screen fixed it, or if today's patch has anything to do with it at all. Just food for thought

soooo is there a fix for this yet?? event is almost over & I still can’t do it 🙄 I’ve tried everything I can think to do that might help but nope nothing….

So I did this on ps5
Sign out of your console entirely, to the point you have to reenter your email/account info and enter your password to sign in. it like...forces a connection i think, but it works

If on PC from main screen, go to options, other, click on link EA account and accept user agreement. If on console, go to the EA website and log in, select linked accounts, accept new user agreement. Make sure to close the Sims completely, then restart and it will be working. It's all about accepting the new user agreement

I have the same problem(also on xbox) I can buy packs but I cant claim the rewards, specifically the wooden throne
