Emails not received to Apple’s private email relay addresses
Emails will not be sent to Apple’s private email relay addresses, effectively blocking users from accessing/editing their account details and potentially risking account lock out. For now, when creating a new account, it’s safer to choose another sign up option until EA fixes this. For context, EA currently supports Apple as an identity provider when signing up for an account for the first time. When signing up with Apple, users are given a choice to either share their real email or a private relay address tied to the service’s domain. When opting for the latter, it’s currently observed that emails will not be sent, preventing users from accessing any of their account details due to an identity verification code screen. In the worst case, one may be completely locked out of their account if EA were to ever require verification post account login similar to Battle.net. Looking into this problem more, it appears EA’’s has failed to satisfy Apple’s requirements. According to Apple’s documentation, the emails sent are required to be authenticated and the organization must register its outbound email domains. Otherwise, no emails will be sent to those addresses. Given what’s outlined in the documentation, it’s evident that EA has insufficiently tested the sign up with Apple feature and has failed to properly satisfy its requirements. Please fix this.125Views3likes1CommentEA APP WILL LITERALLY NOT WORK
Here we go, So I'm trying to play the sims offline as my current internet connectivity is incredibly spotty, let's go through how ''truly easy'' the app makes it for PAYING CUSTOMERS to use their platform: You have to log in to the EA App while you are connected to the internet - how is there in 2026 NOT an option to access your App offline??????????? So, I manage to FINALLY gain access to my app while online, then I go to settings to switch it to offline mode, great now the app is offline. I click on the sims to start playing - I get an error code stating that I haven't logged on in a while and I need to restart the app, log in again, so EA can verify my credentials, baring in mind I was already logged in (as you HAVE to be to access offline mode?!?!) Fine, I close the app, log in again, go to offline mode, click the the sims to play and as a surprise to nobody that uses the EA app, the same error message pops up - I've tried this now 15 times: receive the error message, close the app, restart the app online, log in succesfully, go offline, click to play my game.... and the cycle restarts (super fun groundhog day i'm having) I'm sorry but this is an absolute farce, the amount of money I've spend on buying the sims and all of it's expansions, game packs, stuff packs, (freaking KIT PACKS) since the sims 1 - and I cannot access the product which I own in a manner that works for me??????????????? And finally to EA DIRECTLY - if Origin possessed the function to access your games offline back in 2010, How is it possible that EA does not have this functionality in 2026?! How is it possible that EA has the WORST APP regarding electronic games in the entirety of technological history?! How is it possible that your app continues to throw errors at customers time and time again, with no improvement from your side?145Views0likes1CommentChnage name
Hello all, I'm trying to change my name for better visibility in games. Curently the app isn't allowing me to have twitch/Kasspice_NPC, and I can't see any reason why, as I can't seem to find any rule stating that is prohibiting the user from adding another platform name to their name106Views0likes3CommentsEA Game Versions
If I have two versions of a game, one license on Steam and the other license from the EA app. Does it give me the ability to choose which platform to download and update the game? For example: I have Battlefield 2042 on Steam, but it does not give me the option to buy the EA Version or even download from the EA app stating that I should manage the game from Steam. So what happens if I redeem a EA app version of Battlefield 2042 alongside my Steam licensed version? Does it add a EA app version of the game, does it merge both licenses giving access to both platforms, or does it reject the license because I already have it on Steam? I tried this with Starwars Battlefront 2, I originally had a EA App version of it, and I also have a EPIC Games Store version. Upon installing the EPIC Games Store version, it changed my Battlefront 2's artwork cover adding the EPIC logo on top of it in my EA App library. It allows me to download either from the EPIC Games Store or the EA App, I did not even need EPIC Games Store installed because it recognises my EPIC version even without the EPIC Games Store being installed. Now from what I undestand Steam manages it's own installation and updates, where as EPIC required the EA App to cover the backend installation. If I did not own an EA version of Starwars Battlefront 2, then would that mean I would only beable to initialise the installation from the Epic Games Store and not the EA app exclusively. If you can not manage multiple platform versions, then this really should be looked at by either allowing the individual to select between EA App, Epic or Steam. Additionaly, I also want to point out that the inability to change the games artwork to remove the Steam or Epic logo is also rather annoying. EA App Artwork: No Logo identifying the EA app version. Steam and Epic Artwork with Logos identifying the version. But what if we own two versions of the same game on different platforms, what happens to the artwork in your library?271Views1like4Comments
