Push to talk idea (controller) and how to do it
Hi I was thinking skate should implement push to talk which can toggle on and off your mic with a controller by tapping the left Dpad as i personally don’t see a point in having that a social button when it’s in the pause menu, I’m not sure if I’m the only one but I also forget the social is even on the Dpad, and by having that as a text by holding and a tap to toggle on/off for push to talk would be much nicer since voice chat is in the game now. What could also be nice if you had an option to switch the text and push to talk actions in settings, so it’ll be hold to talk and once you let go you’re back to muted, and tap for text, the option would always be nice to have. This makes sense to me as the left Dpad would then be the communication button, I feel social is wasted on the Dpad. Something to add on the end of this is also having an option in the setting to disable voice ducking, having someone speak with the volume of my game being lowered isn’t a nice experience for some and the option would be very helpful.
Help with unlinking steam from recovered compromised account
My account was compromised a few days ago, but I've recovered it. But now i can't play anything as my steam account was unlinked, and the thief's steam account was linked. It says I have to wait 6 months before unlinking the account, which is way too long. I tried contacting support, but just got an advisor who can't actually do anything. When I tried to contact support again there's no other option besides "contact an advisor" which is now also greyed out. Is there any way to get in contact with actual support?
Is there any way to contact EA support that isn't bot-based?
I no longer have access to the email address associated with my EA account and would like to change it to my current one, but EA support isn't very helpful. As the title suggests, I've filed about five cases and I'm still trying to communicate with live support, but these bots don't understand what I'm saying. I've sent proof of purchase for dlcs and all the information I know about the account, but they still tell me it's incorrect, even though I know it's correct. So, my question is: is there any way to contact someone who handles this, not bots?EA NextStep, a step back
I am starting to think that they know what they are doing, seeing that the forum was the only resource that popped up when I was researching a problem I was pleasantly surprised to see a "contact us" button at the bottom of the support page. Now I was fully expecting an AI assistant, at least before speaking with support staff or having a ticket created, but what EA has created is well beyond any other assistant I have ever had the displeasure of navigating. Every single prompt from EA NextStep comes with little to no regard of the information you entered into the window previously. Beyond stating your name multiple times be prepared to state your problem, game, and system multiple times in repeat. And for those of you as gullible as me, hoping, praying to at least have an actual ticket created and maybe get a chance to have another person review your problem, let me save you the effort. At the end of each session with EA NextStep it will prompt you to the EA "Self Help" guide where the AI chose an article for you to read and hopefully fix the problem yourself, the only problem, it doesn't actually listen to your problem. I was trying to solve the random EA app failure on PC and beyond having to give it all of the important information multiple times, I was offered a generic "game help" article, a "login help" article, and a "connectivity troubleshooting" article, none of which actually addressed the problem or the fact that I had attempted many of the steps those articles were suggesting before trying to find more help. If anyone has a solution to the EA app bug, I would be very appreciative, but I will not hold my breath on EA finding the solution, as the multitude of threads on and off of this site complaining about the exact issue I was having, and the EA proposed solution, if all else fails, factory reset, and the EA app and EA games are just not worth that effort.
