My Steam account is linked to a blank account,
My Steam account is bound to a blank EA account, which has the same information as my current EA account, but I cannot receive the verification code. As a result, I am unable to unlink it through EA's official channel. Now, I cannot play EA-related games on my Steam account. Is there any solution to this issue?8Views0likes0CommentsEA Ban Appeal Bug
I was suspended from Apex Legends a while back. EA provided me a link to appeal the ban, however since then, I have not been able to get back into my account at all. I have verified the password, however, when I click the link to appeal and enter my email, I receive "This email is not eligible for an EA account" If I try to reset the password I receive an "This email or ID is invalid" I have spoken to the 1st level advisors who are unfortunately very unhelpful. They can see the account exists and have sent me one-time codes for the purpose of authentication but I still cannot get into the account at all. I think this is a bug on EA side as presumably the suspension should be lifted by now or they should have suspended for just Apex, and not my entire account? Has anybody else experienced this or received support that actually resolved the issue? I've had multiple cases and promised escalations from advisors that lead to nothing with the last advice of create a forum post - so here I am. Note the account I am using to create this post is NOT the account that is suspended. Figured I'd be clear on that.26Views0likes2CommentsIncorrect Implementation of Account Closures
I have discovered what appears to be a systemic and egregious error in the automated service to verify newly created accounts. It appears that many, if not all, newly created EA Accounts are receiving a permanent ban approximately a week after creation while committing no violation or action which would warrant such an extreme response. This appears to be impacting customers in all regions, platforms and situations. Some background on my exact situation. I created a new EA Account (not this one) on June 30th, 2025 with the intention of accessing the web-based services for an EA mobile game I have been playing for many years. Account creation worked fine and over the course of the next week I accessed this web-based store once daily to shop. Interacting with no other players, requesting no additional services, and committing no untoward actions. Exactly one week later, on July 7th, 2025, I received an email notification stating that account had been permanently banned for repeated violations of the Terms of Service. You can see on the attached history that no violations had been reported. Additionally, once an account has been moved into this status, customer support at EA.Help are no longer able to provide assistance as this situation can only be resolved via the Claims Appeal process to the Terms of Service team. Unfortunately, again, submitted appeals for accounts in this situation appear to be automatically denied by the same AI management vetting service which caused the initial problem. From the patron side, this creates an unresolvable situation as it is far too difficult to communicate with a live customer service representative. Patrons are left with no recourse other than giving up and abandoning any participation or engagement with EA Services. A spotlight needs to be shined on this situation entirely. A brief google search or online forum review will identify dozens upon dozens patrons reporting this exact issue. If other online communication trends are consistent, that means that these reports are a mere faction (<1%) of the actual instances of this incorrect automated response being forced upon customers who are operating appropriately with the EA ecosystem.[INFO REQUEST] "Service Limitations Apply" Error In EA app Or Online
Hi everyone, Over the past week, we’ve seen a small uptick in reports from players encountering a “Service Limitations Apply” error in the EA app on PC and Mac. This error appears during login, when launching a game via a third-party launcher (like Steam or Epic), or when trying to link those launchers to an EA account. To help us investigate and hopefully resolve this for those affected, please share the following information in your reply: Your region/country of residence Whether you are located in or connecting through a country listed under EA’s restricted regions (see: "EA games unavailable in some countries or regions") Are you using a VPN? If so, please disable it completely (make sure no VPN-related processes are running), reboot your device, and try again. Your EA app Error Reporter ID You can generate this from the EA app and post it here in the thread. See [INFO/GUIDE] Index - Troubleshooting the EA app. Once we have these details, we can investigate the issue further and try to identify its cause. Thanks for your help!4.1KViews2likes30CommentsBug Report: Forced and Mandated Updates & EA App Behavior re: The Sims 4
REQUESTS FOR THE EA APP (Re: The Sims 4) I posted about this on many platforms, in many comment sections, and many, many people are having these same issues. The number of likes and upvotes indicates an even larger pool of shy, silent, or busy simmers suffering this, too. CORE REQUESTS * Updates to The Sims 4 game must be USER-INITIATED ONLY. * Updates must NEVER be automated, if the EA App restarts, it should do nothing to the game. No auto-updating of the the app or the game. * Updates must remain PERMANENTLY optional. The User should be able to stay on whatever game version they prefer and the game should still launch. * Suggestion: Game fixes to older versions need to be made available. * The EA App must not force updates. Ever, indefinitely. If a player chooses not to update for months, or even years; this must be a clear and fully supported option. THE CURRENT ISSUE: Since this summer, the EA App has been producing so-called “error popups” (several types, seemingly arbitrary, affecting even vanilla players) with increasing frequency. These currently: *Block players from opening The Sims 4 unless they go online in the EA App. *Rotate through random “errors” to push the user online in the EA App. *Once online in the EA App; trigger new “error popups” that specifically force a Sims 4 game update. PS; halting the update causes a new “error” that prevents the game opening, too; so you know that is not an option. I am finding these are not genuine errors; they are deliberate update triggers. While they may technically fall under the EA App team, they directly impact The Sims 4 experience and must be addressed in coordination. You claimed this was resolved 11 months ago. (It was not resolved). Also; EC:204 is only one of three possible popup error codes; none appear related to real system issues. Please eliminate these faux “errors.” This was not resolved by any new EA App version: discussions/ea-app-technical-issues-en/re-resolved---ea-app-error-code-ec204/7566081 SUMMARY You have made it so that updates have become unavoidable for what looks to be around half of the Sims 4 player base. For those subjected to forced updates: *Vanilla players are experiencing frequent game-breaking bugs and corrupted saves, even without For Rent installed. *Modded players; the majority of the community; see their carefully curated setups repeatedly destroyed, driving many players to abandon the game entirely. This summer it is MANY. Even those not using script mods, but only CC for CAS and Build/Buy playstyles. TLDR *Updates must be user-initiated only; never automatic; always optional; never forced. *The game must still launch if the user chooses not to update; even after months or years. *The “no auto-update” toggle is broken; replace it with a clear OPTIONAL UPDATE button. Make sure that update is truly optional. *Eliminate fake error messages that block the game from opening and funnel players into forced updates. *Players must be free to choose if and when they update; even if that is never. The game should still launch and run. *Add support to repair earlier game versions. Do this; and watch user complaints drop by half. Please coordinate between the EA App and Sims 4 teams. I have been trying to purchase The Sims 4 Essential Glam Kit through the EA App for the past two days, but I keep receiving the following error: "We had some trouble processing your request. Select a different payment method, or try again a little later. [ref. #54001]" I have tried multiple times and also waited, but the issue still persists. Could you please help me resolve this problem so I can complete my purchase? I've tried using mobile, internet site, clearing caches etc. I've seen like 20 people from Turkey having this problem on X. And while browsing the EA Forum, I saw at least 20 different people from Turkey also experiencing the same issue too. Thank you in advance for your support. Very frustrating problem i am encountering with one of my friend regarding our EA accounts and the ability to access this company games. We were trying to play Battlefield and the we both have an incorrect mail or a very old one linked to our EA account and if we want to unlink this account and start a new one or link a new account to our psn, we cant, because we need a verification code sent to the mail we dont have access, we have spent a lot of money in lots of EA games, and now we cannot play because of this extra unnecessary step. If i have full access to my PSN account, and i have bought my games inside PS store, How can EA still block us from playing because of these annoying processes which wont help of anything, it is completely disappointing, and the respond time is ridiculous, im a marketing professional, I know EA should hire a new team. Top chiefs only need to see the chaos behind this problem, im not the only one, I expect to regain access to my games soon.36Views0likes1Comment
