[FR] Cannot Remove Bug infestation in home

So this happened to me after the November 4, 2025 update. My newest save RANDOMLY ends up with an infestation in their house. (this happened November 20thish) When I tried to remove the infestation, one of the sims could not as it would say "your pest control bill needs to be paid" yet the other sim in the house could use the fumigation method and pay $400. Well I had him do that, over and over actually and the bugs remained and never went away. I tried repairing the game, removing mods, everything i could. Finally i googled this issue because the infestation somehow spread to another part of the house. The only thing i hadn't tried at that point out of the list of troubleshooting was "testingcheats true" and shift clicking to "destroy object"(debug). I open the game and do exactly that and what do ya know?? THE BUGS WERE GONE! Amazing, I'm happy, my streams happy.... you'd think this would solve the problem and i could go on playing per usual. NOPE. 2 days after shift-clicking and destroying the object (in this case, the bug infestation), i could no longer save progress on THAT save. I could save my other saves and progress in game play, but the save that had the "bug" infestation, I could not. I'll assume the save is now corrupted ... I say all that to say this ...

I have updated to the most recent update, made a new save and the bugs are BACK. I REFUSE to shift click and destroy object as I've seen how that goes. Is there anything I can do to save my save and NOT make a new save and that one possibly corrupt? How do i fix this?

    Hi MuggaSims​ 

    Could you please provide the following information

    • What platform are you playing on (PC, Mac, Playstation, XBox)
    • Please also provide any LastException/LastCrash files in your documents folder. Upload them to either google or oneDrive and post the link here.
    • What was the save error you get ? 
    • Did you put your mods/cc back when the save error occurred or was this still on a vanilla game ?

    platform: PC
    no LE or crashes
    there wasnt a save error in my last save - i would save and it would not save progress past a certain point - it kept playing or picking up on the same day like a groundhog day 
    yes mods and cc are back in my game - however, this is happening ONLY on new saves made AFTER the Nov 4th update

    Do you mean the bug infestation error only happens on new saves after Nov or the save error ?

    Can you duplicate the save error on a new save as well if you repeat your steps (please test this with no mods/cc). Test on a backup.

    Just trying to figure out if they are related or if the save was just corrupted by other means.

    OK SO UPDATE!

    I actually took mods and cc out on the new save and got rid of the roaches ... i put them back in and got rid of the roaches with them as well .
