Cas stuck on loading screen.
Since the new update and me downloading Lovestruck everytime I try to go into cas it gets stuck on the loading screen and I have to restart my PC each time, I have went through my mods folder deleting cc and mods to try and figure out what's affecting it, I need some help with what mod may be crashing it. I deleted more colums mod, Height sliders, mc command center, UI cheats, all my eyelashes, Tool mod, Better build buy, and any traits that could mess it up. anything that may interfere, but it just won't open cas no matter what I do, am I missing anything?11KViews93likes70Comments
Analysis - freezing/crashing when trying to check into a resort
There seems to be a lot of freezing/crashing when trying to check into a resort happening. Not everyone has this problem. This thread is to try to find out the common factors of people with this problem. Are you using any Custom Content or mods (If so, please remove all mods. I need it tested on a vanilla game or EA will say it's mod). 2. Which Patch Level are you at ? 3. Did you start a new game or are you playing an existing ones ? 4. Did you transfer an existing Sim over or are they new/Pre-Made ? 5. What town are you currently playing ? EA or Custom ? 6. What is your Operating System (Mac, XP, Vista, Win 7) ? 7. Do you have the download or DVD Version of the game ? 8. Are you reporting for the Uni-World, Home-World or WA-World ? And some extra questions please: 1. Which resort(s) are a problem for you 2. Are all Sims affected? Or is it just a certain one? 3. What career/job does your problem Sim have? 4. Does changing career get rid of the issue? 5. Is your whole household affected? Also other households if you change the active household? 6. The Sims 4 totally broke after update 23-7-24
My game totally broke after yesterdays update. It freezes after a minute, removes stuff from my inventory etc etc. Tried to restart the game a couple of times only to realize a lot of people experience the same issue. The game is unplayable.7.4KViews160likes62Comments
The Sims 4 CAS won't open after update.
Hello guys, My game ran the newest update and after loading up the game. Create A Sim will NOT work. It stays at the loading screen on a continuous loop. Is anyone else having this isse? I have had to force close the game each time because it simpley wont work. I used minimal MODS, I do have a lot of maxis match CC but everything was fine until after the update. Sept 2024 update broke loading screen to main menu and exiting cas
I carried out the update yesterday. Updated every mod I had that I was aware needed updating, at first I could get into the game but the game would crash going out of CAS whether it was live mode, from the household management or a new save etc so I went OK must be a mod. Dragged out the entire mod folder from my game to be sure, tested it. Still faulting. Removed the entire sims 4 folder so all saves, trays etc will be new, still happening while 100% vanilla. Uninstalled and reinstalled sims, repaired for probably the 07th time. Now when I try to go in (still vanilla, no saves or tray files etc, no mods at all) I get stuck at the loading screen like it can't progress to the main menu option. I've managed to get into the game, but after going into CAS still crashes on exit, ticked to use the direct x9 which seems to have rectified the cas issue except every second attempt im still stuck at the loading screen for the main menu to get into any saves. I've already done every basic troubleshooting method I can think of, just wanting to know if anyone else is stuck like this?6KViews17likes37Comments
CAS STILL broken after newest update
Just came here to say, for the unfortunate 5th day in a row, that CAS is still causing my entire game to crash and I still have to force-exit through task manager (I describe the full issue in my previous post). Atp just give me my money back if I’m not allowed to play the game I paid money for. They’re not even addressing the CAS issue at all either, just the other bugs which they’ve already updated more than once. The Sims 3 and Intel 12th Gen CPU's - Workaround inside
Well the sims 3 and i9 12th gen don’t get on 😂 apparently the sims team are on it to make it work. The only way I know is I tried playing it today. The launcher loaded up pressed play and nothing no sims 3 intro or anything so had a look on EA and someone had the same problem and the EA bot said they knew of the problem and they were trying to sort it out.5.2KViews1like51Comments
UPDATED 8/20: Crash can occur when uninstalling Lucky Palms
**UPDATE 8/20/12** A fix for the Clearstory Window that can not be CAS-styled will be shipping in the Seasons patch. You do not need to purchase Seasons to get this fix, you just need to download the patch (which you'll want anyway, it adds swimming to base game! ;-)) This fix will patch the catalog version of the window to include a preset so that it is properly CAS-styable. **UPDATE 7/31/12** If you purchase/download Lucky Palms after 12pm PST 7/31 you will not experience the uninstall crash. The issue that was leading to the crash has been resolved and the Lucky Palms world updated on The Sims 3 Store. Because uninstalling Lucky Palms can lead to the crash we do not recommend you update Lucky Palms if you already have it installed. If you do choose to update please back-up your saved games before doing so and be sure to remove ALL Lucky Palms objects (which will require individually selecting each asset in the Launcher for uninstall) Uninstalling Lucky Palms will remove any saved games in that world, so it is very important that you back up your Saves if you choose to uninstall. Please see the bottom of this post ("To Fully Uninstall Lucky Palms and All related objects") for steps to uninstall Lucky Palms and all of it's objects. In addition to fixing the crash the updated version of Lucky Palms contains a fix for the Clearstory Window that was not CAS-stylable.
