I have pack name 'card.desc.FreeGoldPack' that I can't redeem because I keep getting this error in screenshot below. This error appears on PC WEB companion APP, Mobile FC25 companion APP and in-game on Playstation 5. Screenshots are taken on PC WEB companion APP. On PC and Mobile APP when i click 'Ok' on error prompt I get automatically logged out. In-game on PS5 I get same error message and pack gets removed from Store until I logout and login again. After the 19 August 2025 patch, my game is literally unplayable. I am able to load as far as the main menu, and I can choose a save to load, but I cannot load any lots. When attempting to load a rental lot, I was getting an error that said something like "the game has reached a break point". When attempting to load any other lots, the game simply crashes and auto-quits. I have removed all mods and I still get the same result. A clean game gives the same result. I am playing on Windows 11, using NVIDIA graphics and DX11 I'm currently in the process of repairing my game and I'm crossing my fingers that this will resolve the issue, but I'm not optimistic. Hey! I have a pretty critical bug to report which always causes the game to crash to desktop. What's the issue? When playing with a Sim that has the fairy occult form unlinked in CAS, and the human and fairy forms have different skin tones, switching between the forms will cause a crash if the Sim has an appearance modifier* applied. *an appearance modifier is a temporary change of looks for the Sim, like wearing climbing gear from Snowy Escape. The type of applied appearance modifier matters, in this case it has to be one that carries over the skin tone (like "set_cas_part"). How to reproduce? New Game, no mods installed, mods are disabled. Create a Fairy Sim in CAS, unlink forms. Change fairy form skin tone to a different one than the human form uses, change of clothing is recommended too. Proceed to gameplay and place down a computer with a desk and chair. On the computer purchase the climbing gear from the Snowy Escape expansion pack and wear it. Switch between human form and fairy form repeatedly (reveal -> conceal -> repeat) and after a few tries you will experience a crash. Sometimes it happens immediately, sometimes it takes a few tries. Don't own Snowy Escape? Special celebration or festival t-shirts, vanity table makeup, ailments, costume box, facial masks, temporary manicure or pedicure, and many other temporary appearance modifiers should work too. Technical Details Appearance modifiers that copy the skin tone over to the appearance modifier sim base wrapper are the ones that will cause the crash to occur, including the skin tone randomization appearance modifier. The specific trigger is altering the sim base wrapper skin tone ID and causing the client to render the Sim with it. I'm unable to know why this happens exactly as the client is a magical black box for us modders 😄 Please fix ASAP. Fun Fact - if the appearance modifier is an outfit generator, the skin tone of the Sim is not carried over, so for example fairies wearing slippers indoors lose their skin tone when changing form. Game UI bugs when I open the Simology panel for teens/kids already played including ones downloaded from the gallery that have saved skills/character values. The sims in question already have time played on them, their skill levels are up and character values are also up. When the UI bugs i am unable to travel, open up the game menu/settings and live mode. The only option that works is manage Worlds however it does not go out to the manage worlds screen once you save and exit or just exit. It remains as a black screen with sim icons and emotes going ( game is still running on the household) The bottom UI buttons for the sims themselves is fine to flip through, but if you'retrying to bring up a menu it goes no where eg on the phone to travel, bring up job options etc So far I have replicated the issue everytime in my game, noted below scenarios: Current household is one i downloaded from my gallery, the teens already had skills and character values against them. Added an elder to the household via create a sim to put them in the world. Elder sim similogy loaded without bugging, teen simology bugged the game. Loaded an old save with a teen sim in the family, opened a young adult, adult, elder and toddler simology panel- were fine teen however bugged out. Loaded an old save with a child in the household, both young adults Loaded fine but when I Loaded the child simology panel it glitches out. I am noting character values as when I get the teen/child simology panel opened, the top feature is their character values and they are going haywire by constantly changing when the teen/child themselves aren't doing anything. As long as I don't click simology the game runs fine (so far). This seems to be a bug with the new update and parenthood. I play without mods, I had to start fresh with a whole new sims 4 folder due to getting a constant error loading one of my sims family in my old sims 4 folder. Hey everyone, A number of us in the community have run into a frustrating issue during the current Champions Finals objective in FC 25. The objective requires you to play 15 Champions Finals matches to earn a 1 of 5 93+ TOTS Player Pick reward — but for some players, a game-breaking problem has made this impossible to complete. During one of the 15 matches, players are randomly being kicked from the game with the error: “Connecting to Ultimate Team is not possible at the moment. You will now be returned to the Main Menu.” This error forfeits the match, counting it as a loss, and prevents progression toward the 15-match requirement — even if all 15 matches were attempted fairly. Important Points: There is no issue with players’ internet connections — the problem appears to be server-side, likely on EA’s end. This effectively locks players out of the 93+ Player Pick, through no fault of their own. It’s especially frustrating because the issue happens mid-match, after matchmaking, wasting time and effort. What We’re Asking: Recognition of this issue from the development/support team. Restoration of progress for affected players, or ideally, Compensation in the form of the 93+ Player Pick or equivalent rewards for those who completed 15 matches but were blocked by this server error. Problem When trying to load a certain lot, the game either crashes or endlessly loads. This particular issue is tied to that building. It causes the same issue on any lot you place it on from the gallery and is tied to the furniture. It usually happens with lots that have objects placed with MoveObjects or T.O.O.L and are placed on top of each other. This issue has nothing to do with save game corruption. Determine if this is your issue KEEP BACKUPS OF YOUR SAVE GAME! The easiest way to determine if the lot you are trying has this issue is, to load it without furniture. Use the following techniques to do so You're trying to place a lot from the gallery that just crashes/endlessly loads: Place the lot unfurnished The lot is a residential lot: Either move a family in without furniture or move the family in the lot out with all the furniture. The lot is a commercial lot: Try to load it from the map in build mode (see below) and then change the lot type to residential and proceed as above. If the lot loads after doing this, then this is your issue. Suggestions for troubleshooting The process to find the object(s) that are causing the issue is really tedious and you need to make sure it's worth it. Maybe it's easiest to refurnish or use another lot. Try to load the lot in build mode. If that fails, load the lot next to it in build mode and pan around a bit (I have no idea why that seems to work, but it helped me getting crashing lots to load), then go back to the other lot. Once you loaded the house, change it to residential if it wasn't already and move someone in without furniture. Load the lot and check if that works. Take note on how the lot looks. Everything that's still there is not an issue if you were able to load the game that way. Save this under a new name. You might need to refer back to it. Go back to the save with furniture and try the loading again. This time just delete the house. You can grab it to move around and then delete it. Check again if the problem is gone. If not, the issue is outside, if so, the problem is the house (it could theoretically be both but for now assume it's not. To be sure, you can delete everything BUT the house and see if the problem still occurs). Once you know if it's the house or the outside, you can start searching. Outside: Delete one half of the lot, then test. Then test the other half. Then do half of the half until you find the object or object group. Depending on the amount of objects used, it could be easier to just delete a whole structure. Up to you. I just downloaded the recent update earlier in the day 4/29/25, which I presumed automatically turned off mods though I do play with a few script mods like UI cheats, MCCC, BBB and a UI color mod. After updating, it crashed upon launching the game from the EA app on my windows laptop. I immediately backed up saves and tried repairing, and rebooted. This led to the game launching and loading a bit, but before it loads into the main menu, it crashes. I figured it automatically turned off mods, but I deleted the script mods which I assume would've been broken anyway, just to make sure. This had no change and still seems like it's about to load the main menu but then it closes. I'm inclined to think the update is causing this, but want to know if it's a shared experience or isolated on my part. Edit By Crinrict: Adjusted Title Update 25/05/11 Did some testing on this and with the help of ChelleBelle716 save and mods folder (and insight), I think we were able to narrow it down to Custom tattoos (or better the lack of them) on mermaids So if you use any custom tattoos on your mermaid Sims (the ones you put in your mods folder), make sure you put them back. This issue will also happen if you disable a pack that brings a tattoo that you used on mermaids. Please let me know if that helps you. Instructions on how to get your game to work. Move the following folder to the desktop: Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > saves Start the game. If you still don't get to the main menu, please post in the tech forum of your platform, posting your specs. You have a different issue. Start a new save game and see if that works. Go to your options and turn mods/cc back on Close the game and delete the save game you just created. You won't need it anymore. It was just for testing. COPY the saves folder from your desktop back to the Sims folder. Also put your mods back if you removed them, especially custom tattoos. If you do want to disable a pack or remove a custom cc from your game, you will need to remove them from all your mermaids first. I decided to create a new Career Mode on EAFC 25. I was about 3–4 weeks into the season when, upon advancing to the next game, the game crashed. I received a “report problem” screen on my PS5 with error code CE-108255-1, and the option to report the incident. No matter what I try, I can’t get past that stage of the Career Mode—it just keeps crashing. So I started over with a brand-new Career Mode. This time, the crash happened again—around 4–6 weeks into the season... Troubleshooting steps I’ve tried: Created a new Career Mode – still crashes randomly after a few in-game weeks. Uninstalled and reinstalled the game – no change. PS5 firmware is fully updated Not sure if this helps - there’s nothing unusual or custom about my Career Mode setup. I know some people create custom faces for managers or players, but I just selected a well-known manager who currently manages a League Two club, and used all basic/default settings. Just to add: I had a previous Career Mode with a different team where which was created around 4–6 months ago and never ran into this issue. It seems to have started happening after a recent update. I’ve also noticed Career Mode feeling a bit buggy since then, so I’m wondering if the latest update may have introduced this problem. Can anyone confirm if this is a known issue?
