An error on our end cuased the launch to fail.... Dead Space 3
Hello all Yet another disgruntled user whose having this stupid problem. Whats affected? Dead Space 3 Whats happening? After 2 hours of gameplay on the 17th of Feb (on twitch becuase yay fun times) - I attempted to play the game again. You know as you would with a game you have purchased. HOWEVER - the game and whatever else is going on - has other plans. Namely to frustrate and anger me to the point of heavy drinking. I have now spent FAR MORE TIME troubleshooting this stupid problem than I have actually enjoying the game I purchased. The game - refuses - to load after load screen - after it loaded to the main screen, choosing a save file OR a bran d new game (in an attempt to play coop) - I am greeted by the following sequence of events. Immediate shut down of the game - the Ea app showing a lovely message : An error on our end caused the launch to fail. Try again a little later. I have been 'trying later' for 3 days. System : Windows 11 25h2 update - 5800x, 9070 xt, 64gb ddr4 ram I have attempted the following troubleshooting: Close and restarted steam. Close and restarted EA app I have cleared the EA origin cache on the app Verified files via Steam (the EA app says I must manage the game via Steam so I cannot do this on the EA app) Closed and restarted the PC it was based on I have changed DNS from - automatic to - Google 8.8.8.8 - to Quad 9 DNS 9.9.9.9 and back I've tried running through VPN to numerous countries via NORD I have turned off/ disabled / shut down every concievable overlay or game recorder or integration I have or know of that is installed (Logitech, Medal, MSI Afterburner, Steam, EA App, AMD Adrenalin, ShareX) Rebooted the router AND internet it was based on. I have deleted, reinstalled and clean wiped graphics drivers I have updated Motherboard drivers I have uninstalled the game I have uninstalled the EA App I have clean wiped all traces of the EA app from the system using Revo uninstaller and its associated 'hidden gem finder' to totally wipe it Removed all save game data from my system (I was you know only 2 hours in, who cares right? ) I have rolled back windows updates that happned AFTER the game was played successfully I have REUPDATED windows to their latest patches I thought it could be due to a resolution issue - since I am on 1440p and the game originally launched in Casio Calculator vision - so i have reset that by going through the settings file to manually reset those resolutions on the text file. I have installed the game on my 2nd PC that I have as a stream pc - lower specs 5800x - Nvidia 1070ti, MSI motherboard - which meant a fresh install of the game, a fresh install of the EA App, and a totally different connection I have thought this could be some kind of connection bug or hiccup - so I have ALSO specifically set windows firewall excemptions for EA app AND Dead space 3. I have gone through this forum, I have gone through Steam forums, I have gone thru Reddit forums Tried steps on: https://steamcommunity.com/app/1238060/discussions/0/762933704335078456/ https://forums.ea.com/discussions/ea-app-technical-issues-en/dead-space-3-not-launching-with-ea-app/7620229 https://forums.ea.com/discussions/dead-space-franchise-discussion-en/dead-space-3-pc-incompatible-with-most-resolutions/7192315 https://forums.ea.com/discussions/dead-space-franchise-discussion-en/dead-space-3-dont-launch-on-my-computer/7228091 I have seen THIS POST about running it in compatibility mode using windows vista service pack 2 - or ANY other compatibility mode https://forums.ea.com/discussions/dead-space-franchise-discussion-en/pc-unable-to-launch-dead-space-2008/7236621 I have EVEN found this post relating to license based issues that cuased the same problem to show up - and followed THOSE steps https://forums.ea.com/discussions/dead-space-franchise-discussion-en/pc-dead-space-2-failed-to-launch-game-error/7239384 They just immediatly fail to launch - same error message Ever single time I have got back to the same error message and process. I want to play this game, I really do. I want to play it with friends becuase THAT is fun. I have tried and failed to find a way to submit a new case on the EA Help page - so unless thats either gone the way of the dodo - or the AI Overlords - a link to that would be prime. If anyone has any other suggestions, thoughts or rites to elder gods - that I havent already tried - that doesnt involve going to a 5 finger discount site to just play the **bleep** game - I'm waiting in a pit of my own dispair.I can't properly launch Dead Space 3. The game won't start
I can't properly launch Dead Space 3. The game won't start, and an error message appears. This message "A problem on our end caused the launch to fail. Please try again later." I was able to play Dead Space 3 before, but recently it won’t start. I have followed all the troubleshooting steps provided by EA customer support, but the problem still persists. Please advise me on how to resolve this issue, as I purchased a game that may become unplayable at any moment. I have three EA games that I can’t play, including Star Wars Battlefront II, Mirror’s Edge, and Dead Space 3. None of them are working. I paid for these games, but now I can't play them, and the issues still haven't been resolved. Should I be asking for a refund? I bought the game through Steam.155Views0likes2CommentsDead Space 3 achievements not trigger (at all)
Hello! I just started my playthrough of Dead Space 3. Originally I had it on Steam w Awakened DLC. So, it forced me to install and log in using Steam ID in EA app. Fine. Then I played. And played, and played. And then I found out that none achievements are present in Steam. I look in EA - also none. But I`m already in the middle of the story, I definitely have "Survived the space walk" (Space Odyssey achievement), "Completed the Prologue" (Stranger in a Strange Land) and many others. See the attached screenshot I tried to search forums, but it looks like people are having issues with getting specific achievements, while I cannot get any. What can be the problem? What is my checklist to troubleshoot? It could be relevant - my EA app overlay is turned off, also it is counting my "in-game time" as 8 minutes (but it sets "in-game" status in EA app, while I'm playing), while it is 8 hours in Steam. And Im playing on Win11 Pro 24H2, intel i5-10th, SSD, RTX 3060.SolvedCannot get DS3 to launch (STEAM)
I have tried fresh installs of EA app and DS3, my accounts are linked, I have tried running compatibility modes for win 7 and 8, running as admin, clearing caches, verifying integrity of game cache, restarting my pc multiple times, disabling both steam and EA app overlays. I do not understand what is going wrong. I launch the game, it says "preparing game" in the EA app, screen goes black with cursor loading wheel, then it closes and EA says "failed to start the game." Please help.error: Invalid license !?!
Hello, I'm writing my third letter, no one is answering me or fixing the problem . On February 4th I bought the game Dead Space 3 from EA through my account: danko2142 Order date: 04/02/26 Order number: 1005662992512 The game was downloaded, but when I wanted to start it, it did not start, a window appeared with the following error: Invalid license. Reason code=Missing DLL d3dx9_43.dll Error 0x000000c1 Please help me solve the problem!27Views0likes0CommentsDeadspace 3 won't activate?
I don't know why this game even needed re-activation, it was already installed and working. I haven't been able to activate it for a long time, so this isn't going to fix itself. I bought this game on EA Origin back when it came out, and it's not fair that I can no longer play the game I paid for, because of unnecessary product activation schemes. I mean, what more should they need? I'm signing into my EA account with the EA APP client. Anybody else having this problem, or found a solution? This is all I get (screenshot)Dead space 3 crashes when trying to access coop menu
Hi! so I’ve not played this in years but it seems people are still playing coop on the steam version.. I only have the EA version which will crash unless I run EA play in offline mode.. is there anyway to play coop through EA Play? Or are the servers just long gone and what’s why it’s crashing when it tries to connect to them?If Ea does ever decide to Remaster Dead Space 2&3...........
If Ea ever does finally decide to remaster Dead space 3, using the remastered Version Of Dead Space 3 and as well as Mass Effect Legendary Edition, to remaster both 2&3. Well, I have been noticing Subtle Differences and similarities between Dead Space Remastered and Mass Effect Legendary Edition, and well, the suits kind of look similar,as EA started using Dead Space to help build Mass Effect 2 and 3, as well as also having a contract with Capcom to produce Lost Planet 3. Also changing the co-op options missions to be playable as solo or co-op as optional but I rather see it solo so you can actually complete the game to 100% , as well as having ALL DLCS just like Dead Space Remastered and the Master Skeleton Key Master Security Clearance to get the most out of gathering resources and components as well as Inventory Expansions . I am an Xbox Insider Alpha Skip Ahead and just started playing the game after a month, first originally playing on Game Pass and then continuing. There are some Major game-breaking bugs that need to be addressed, as in the Prologue where it says shoot weapon, and well, if you take that literally and then try to shoot at the manual release cover,it will not break and fails to break. I guess this was a developer's oversight at the time, and many more bugs like this the throughout the game. I also suggest increasing the Bot Capacity considerably to gather a Metric **bleep**-tonne of resources at once as well as having the original SCAF BULLPUP RIFLE and SUIT and other currently unplayable items and also cut content re-added to the remaster as well as all promotional and EA/BIOWARE exclusives you could unlock by logging in with you EA account just like Mass Effect and KOA (Kingdoms Of Amalur ) and Dragon Age once Did. I also heard rumours over the year of a variant of the Blood Dragon Armor from Dragon Age and Mass Effect 2 and other Mass Effect variants were unlockable. The Heavy Elite Sharpshooter SMP-90 IS A great rifle, but does not pack enough punch and oomph unlike the Widow and Black Widow do in Mass Effect 3and all weapons in the remastered would be tweaked and refined to do mo damage like Dead Space One Remaster and so on a long with the suits would have bonuses applied just like Mass Effect 3. Going back to Mass Effect 3 original, Dead Space 3 weapons were clearly variants of the weapons of Mass Effect 3 ,while the Evangelizer was almost a fictional variant of the M-14 carbine polymer with an underbarrel Masterkey (underbarrel Shotgun)instead of m-203 launcher , I kind of wish it was full autoas well as the Pulse Rifle and all other weapons including the revolver added to the remaster of dead space 3 and Maybe some 1979 Alien weapons as well as the pulse rifle and halberd from Lost planet 3 made into some weapons that are heavy hitters and can dispatch multiple enemies at once and references and easter eggs. The game takes heavy inspiration from the original Tombraider game as wellDead Space and EA
I want to start off by saying I love Dead Space and other EA IPs, But as it seems EA makes every wrong choice possible. They favor short term benefits over long term growth and public interest. They seem content to run themselves into the ground with repeated flops instead of trying to foster the audience they already have. It really confusing because we have seen multiple games hit it out of the park that had little to no public interest before release because of word of mouth. Even with remakes like Resident Evil, little to no one talked about RE Remake but still sold 4.6 million copies then RE2 Remake caught every ones eyes because capcom continued to iterate and gained back wide public interest and selling 14 million copies. I believe if EA had let motive make Dead Space 2 Remake like they originally had wanted it likely would have been out by now and swept the competition considering there is little to none in the Sci-Fi Survival Horror Genre right now. Instead they opted to have motive work on an Iron Man game, Now I have nothing against Iron Man I loved him as a kid and I'm sure there are Marvel/Iron Man fans that will buy the game but I'm pretty confident in the fact it wont sell well. Especially considering that at Iron Mans height during the release of the Iron Man movies there was a Iron Man game on the 360 that was pretty good but it only sold 2.6 million copies so they might be able to expect to sell around that much with this new release when Iron Man is less in the public eye but that wouldn't be enough for them by their own barometer. Even if we consider the fact that there are more Marvel fans now than ever Iron Man isn't a huge favorite for most but lets go along with this and say it sells twice as much that would be around 5.2 million copies, But is that enough for EA? If it is why didn't they continue with Dead Space? The original Dead Space sold around 1 million copies then Dead Space 2 Sold 4 million copies seeding steady growth by word of mouth. But EA stuck their fingers in the pie and messed with Dead Space 3 alienating Its core audience of around 4 million which would have been set to grow had they not tried to get a new different audience making Dead Space 3 sell around 600 thousand copies killing the franchise. Then when the Dead Space Remake was released it revived the franchise selling 2 million copies so if we use the original releases as an outline a Dead Space 2 remake would have sold around 6 million copies maybe even more if we used RE remakes as an outline it would be around 12 million copies. Anyone can look these things up, EA and its employees can as well as they should have their own metrics. So why abandon Dead Space again? I know the most likely reason is the same one that is plaguing the gaming industry as a whole right now, bloated costs and poor decision making from out of touch executives who know little to nothing about their IP. Its very frustrating for me and many others who just want there favorite IPs to continue as they were. Even more so when seeing things like Elden Ring, From Software has continued to make the games fans love (me included) and continue to grow. I just wish EA could get their act together and make the games their fan love. But that's just a pipe dream at this point. What do you think? do you think I'm wrong? Are you frustrated with EA too? let me know! Id like this to be a friendly discussion so lets be courteous to one another please!
