Seriously, what MONKEYS work on design and coding of this thing? If I started EA App that's because I want to PLAY A GAME. If I am playing a game I DON'T WANT TO STOP JUST SO YOUR APP CAN RESTART. If you need to check for updates DO IT BEFORE OPENING IT AND UPDATE IT BEFORE LAUNCH LIKE STEAM DOES FOR AT LEAST A DECADE. SHEESH.11Views1like0Commentsxbox app ea extension error code:-2147221163
I am having trouble connectin xbox app to the ea extension it says were having trouble connecting to the ea app error code:-2147221163 to contact ea app support I have tired all of these- Restart and Update: Restart your PC. Make sure Windows is up to date with the latest updates installed. Check Internet and Security Software: Ensure your internet connection is stable. Temporarily disable any third-party antivirus or firewall to rule out interference. If this fixes it, add the EA app as an exception in your security software. Redownload and Reinstall EA App: Uninstall the EA app completely. Download the latest installer from the official EA website and reinstall it. Check Account Linking and Authentication: Visit the EA Account connection page: Log out from all EA-related sites, then back in using the 'Sign in with Xbox' option. If prompted, create or relink your EA ID. You may need to manually unlink and relink your Xbox and EA accounts by visiting the connections section in your EA account settings Clear DNS Cache: Open Command Prompt as Administrator and run: ipconfig /flushdns Check Xbox Services Are Running: Open Services app (Win+R, type services.msc). Find and make sure these are set to “Automatic” and running: Xbox Live Auth Manager Xbox Live Game Save Xbox Live Networking Service Gaming Services IP Helper still i can not figure it out and ea help 3 different people at ea support could not either ea really needs to look into this issue cause on ea forums there are alot of different post with alot of comments on each differnt post about this problem i mean ALOT of people have this issue if ea could look into and fix it I would be greatful or if anyone knows how to fix it I would greatly appreciate it so much Thanks!1.9KViews1like6CommentsStop Herassing US with EA subscription
Really, what it says in the title! I know about it, we all KNOW about IT. If we wanted to sign up for it we would. I dont need a pop up all the time in the middle of my screen to keep reminding me about it. If anything it will make myself and many others never considering getting an EA subscription just on the basic fact that you all insisted on shoving it in our faces.25Views0likes1CommentError EC:2o4 for The Sims 4.
Release a new build of the EA App that removes this specific, unnecessary, and coercive "Error," and lets us play on precisely the version of The Sims 4 we wish. For me, that's game version 1119. How many times must we "ask nicely." Thankfully, there's Paralives now.49Views0likes1CommentException Breakpoint
Hello, I'm currently encountering a mild issue: every time I shut down my PC after playing The Sims 4, a pop-up window appears telling me that an exception breakpoint has been reached. The title of the window indicates it is being prompted by EADesktop, which is found in the EA app files, not The Sims game files, so I am assuming it's a problem with that application. I'm not sure I can get a screenshot of the error message, since it's interrupting the shutdown process when it occurs, but I will attach a DxDiag.txt file below. The error code I'm getting is 0x80000003 (which seems to be the common code for this error) and it occurs at location 0x00007FFC0292D8E1 (or, at least, it did the time that I wrote down the details). I have since uninstalled and reinstalled both the EA app and The Sims 4 at least twice each, and I continue to encounter the issue, but I haven't checked if the error location is the same. It doesn't affect anything once the "OK" button or the "X" is pressed as far as I can tell, but it is an at first alarming and then annoying interruption to the normal shutdown process. In terms of troubleshooting, I've done the following: Repair files for EA application + The Sims 4 files, shutdown: issue persists; Disable run on startup for EA application, end EA tasks in Task Manager, use PC for light tasks (Firefox ~15 minutes) without using EA app or The Sims 4, shutdown: no issue encountered; Boot up PC, use for light gaming (Civ V for ~1 hour), shutdown: no issue encountered; Boot up PC, play The Sims 4 as normal, then shutdown: issue persists. Uninstall EA application + The Sims 4, check shutdown + restart quality without EA app installed: no issue encountered; Reinstall EA application + The Sims 4, shutdown + restart with EA app installed, without using EA app or The Sims 4: no issue encountered; Play as normal, then shutdown: issue persists; Boot up PC, check remaining storage and memory: looks okay to me, but I'm no expert. Refer to the attached DxDiag.txt file to make an independent judgement. Run mdsched + restart to check for memory leaks: no problems detected; Open the Sims 4, close the application, check Task Manager and end EA background processes, then shut down: no issue encountered. My current conclusion: Issue is related to the EA application and only the EA application, which is engaged on some level every time The Sims 4 runs. Because the EA application continues to run in the background/system tray even after closing the window, its background processes continue running until ended directly in Task Manager (which does not produce an error code) or indirectly by the shutdown process, which is where the pop-up occurs. Best guess: even the clean, new-in-box EA application background processes currently include a fragment of code with a debugging breakpoint that triggers when the program is "unexpectedly interrupted", producing a pop-up window which only allows the user to terminate the program, which, incidentally, is what the shutdown process is already doing, and what most users expect the "X" on the application window to have already done. Other, related advice I've seen but haven't tried: Run chkdsk as administrator to find and repair potential hard drive issues; Check for driver updates. Some kind of registry change to prevent EA from running in the background after being closed out? Though I have technically been able to locate the problem and a workaround, I would love to find a solution that doesn't require me to open Task Manager after every session of the Sims, so if you have any thoughts, please advise. This post has been written without the use of AI, and I would prefer not to be given answers produced by genAI. Thanks!SolvedMain Menu Background Updates in Off-Line Mode??
I am a bit concerned that EA/MAXIS infiltrates my personal computing system without my express consent. To Start: A) ALL Update settings are set to OFF in the EA App. B) The EA App is set to Off-Line mode. 1 - Why was the EA app closed? 2 - Who closed the EA App? 3- How is a global change made to a non-updated game? On Monday, May 11, 2026, I was in off-line mode. On the Main Menu page, the background was that original blue swirly thing. I was playing one of my saves and was actually in her house. I left my computer on and the game open. The gameplay for the household was paused. I did not put my computer to sleep. The Sims 4 Update was Tuesday, May 12, 2026. I did not use my computer on Tuesday, May 12, 2026. Nothing should have changed on my computer. Today is Wednesday, May 13, 2026. I went to my computer and it was in sleep mode. I did not put my computer to sleep. My computer security check is on. Much to my annoyance, the EA App was closed. (This is not the first time. I've been paying more attention.) Upon logging back into the app, I immediately went back to off-line mode. At first the game would not open. I had to log out and back in again and went back to off-line mode again. This time the game opened and much to my surprise the main menu background is the Bridgerton Ballroom. How did the main menu background change to the Bridgerton Ballroom if I am playing off-line and have not updated my game? How is the code changed and applied to my computer if I have done everything to keep that from happening? This is only possible because EA/MAXIS must be accessing my computer and making changes at will. Which would then explain why the only thing closed was the EA App. I last updated my game on April 30, 2026, My current game version is PC: 1.123.85.1020, which it should be as I have no intention to update for the next few weeks. As stated, my game is in off-line mode and all updates are turned off in the EA App settings. Before using the EA App, I NEVER had this type of intrusion into my computer. I could leave my computer on for weeks and it would not shut down nor close programs I left open. My concern is none of the other software I use has ever closed my computer and forced anything without me initiating it. I am now a bit concerned and actually afraid EA/MAXIS may be doing other things to my computer without my consent. Any explanation, as it relates to the above thereto, would be greatly appreciated.60Views0likes1Comment
