sims medieval

i purchased sims medieval yesterday and tried launching it after downloading it and received an error message stating that something went wrong on EA's end and to try again later. i waited 4 hours and still received the error message. i repaired the game, relaunched the ea app, and restarted my laptop and still got the same error message. today i have tried launching the game again and still have the same issue. anyone have this problem with this game? i hope i didnt waste money on a game that doesnt work. all of my other games are running just fine.
