Cemeteries...
Hi peeps, What do you think of the Life & Death cemetery lots and how many have you added to your game? At the moment I only have them in about three different worlds, but each time one of my beloved sims dies I really feel like they should be buried in their home town. I'm seriously thinking of adding one in every world that is bigger than about 4 lots lol (so, not Glimmerbrook, Forgotten Hollow etc). Do you think that's overkill? What are you all doing with your graves and urns?106Views2likes10CommentsWhat happened in your game today?
Hi everyone! I hope you're all enjoying the new forum so far. I know I am!! I'm Charla, a big fan of The Sims 4! ☺️ I was going to join on the old one, but, as it only had a week left I decided to wait until today. I loved lurking on the what happened in your game today thread so I thought would create a new one here. So what's happened in your game today? Today in my game I was playing as a character I created, Lauren Lord. She's an young adult, who dreams of being an author and a mom. Currently she's working as a school teacher, but today she had no work, she stayed at home and played chess and tended to her plants (when it wasn't raining!). I also made this new Sim :) hope the pic works! Look forward to seeing what's happening in your games. X24KViews56likes3372CommentsThe Sims 4: Life & Death - Official Screenshot Thread!
A spooky Sul Sul to you all! It's nearly time to embrace the darker side of The Sims 4 and explore all that Ravenwood has to offer in the latest Expansion Pack for The Sims 4: Life & Death. So let us bust out our best brooms and evening scare and have a boo-last together! Show me what you got! Puns that almost replaced "Boo-last": You know why mummies don't play The Sims? Because they're afraid to relax and unwind! 🙃 Seriously, why didn't we name Bonehilda the grim sweeper?2.9KViews26likes242CommentsCan’t access City Living
I’ve just updated my game, and all content from city living is gone. I play on PS5, have no mods or anything. The game crashed as I was playing it, closed the game down, and it says unable to access content, it says on the sims app I own the content, but my ps says I have to repurchase it!Looking to purchase some packs, need some reccommendations
TLDR: looking for well thought out opinions on some of the more recent packs. This question is aimed at people who own some of the packs already because I want to hear your thoughts on why or why not you would recommend it. I'm a long time sims player and I like to reward myself with a pack or two every once in a while (usually when I accomplish something really difficult) so I've amassed several of the packs. It's time for a reward so I'm trying to figure out what I want. I haven't really been paying attention to the new releases so I'm not sure what to try next before the Black Friday sale. So please help by telling me your faves. My playstyle revolves around building and rotational play. I have a few worlds where I've almost rebuilt everything in the save file and created complex multigenerational family trees. I am in my cottagecore era so lately my sims usually find themselves running a farm or a bakery. I like family play but I also like more interesting and adventurous stuff. When I look at packs, I look at gameplay and BB items because I could not care less about CAS. I am that person that will get sims off the gallery or randomize them. My favorite packs have been Cottage Living (obviously), Romantic Garden, Get Together, Jungle Adventure, and the two plant kits (bc I am a shameless plant mom irl so all my sims have to be as well). My biggest regrets are Snowy Escape, Vampires, and Dream Home Decorator. While some of the BB stuff is great, the gameplay falls flat for me personally and I don't use them a lot. I am definitely going to get the Castle Kit but I would like to try out one or two of these packs: Horse Ranch: the nectar brewing system seems cool but also horses and goats would complete my farm dreams. But I had similar thoughts about Snowy Escape and I regret getting that pack. Life and Death: It's new so I know there's a lot of hype but beyond the hype, is it something that's worthwhile having in your game long term? Bust the Dust: I love the idea of dust bunnies and more chores for my sims but is it still buggy? I know when it came out it was massively bugged. Moschino Stuff: I've avoided it because I know it's focused on CAS but everyone on youtube raves about the photography aspect being great for family gameplay. Is this true or is it just youtuber nonsense? For Rent: I don't know if I'm super thrilled with the BB and I missed the hype when it came out but I did hear the rental system was bugged. As someone who does build a lot of townhouses and apartment buildings, I think this would be great but is the gameplay actually playable? And how is the world? Book Nook: I currently use cc for wall to wall, floor to ceiling bookshelves that are in a different style and love them but I'm concerned about the glitching. Do these slot together the way the shelving in Dream Home Decorator does? Because those get randomly deleted all the time so it's really annoying. Lovestruck: I know nothing about this pack but I've used the SimDa Dating mod before and disliked it so I don't think I'd like this pack but I am curious to hear about your opinions on it, specifically anything that surprised you. Crystal Creations: I'm not super into CAS and when I am in CAS I definitely don't utilize any of the jewelry but I like the idea of making jewelry and running a jewelry shop using GTW. BB also looks amazing. What I want to know more about is the crystal gameplay. Things I would love to hear your opinions on: Gameplay: tell me what you loved, what you hated, what you're mildly annoyed at, etc. Did anything get boring for you? Did something surprise you? Build/Buy: What items from the packs do you use the most? Which ones do you use the least? Do the items fit well with any other TS4 content? World: if the pack comes with the world, how satisfied are you with it? Is fun to explore? What kinds of things are there to interact with? What are your favorite lots to build on? Are there any special collectibles? Lot type: if there is a new lot type, what do you think about it? Do you use it in your normal gameplay or is it something you use rarely? Bugs: Are there any bugs in the pack that I should worry about? I know the team eventually fixes most of the bugs but until then, I'd prefer to put off purchasing something that's extremely buggy (like with Wedding Stories). Playstyle: tell me your playstyle and how the pack works with your playstyle. Do you find yourself using it a lot or not at all?128Views0likes11CommentsMy living city pack map was disappear.
After install the island living expansion pack, my living city pack map was disappear. I am really upset. I have deleted the game and try to reinstall both pack. But the problem still cannot solve. This makes me really consider if I should buy and pack more. Hope Ea could help me find out the solution.Compatibility & Self-Discovery Explained
Hi! This thread is a 2.0 version of these threads put together: Sim Characteristics and Social Compatibility - A Look into Tuning Files Self-Discovery - An Attempt to Understand Tuning Files Due to spoiler tag issues in this forums and how the post hierarchy system works here (and how posts can be collapsed), I've decided to make a new thread which could also look in other things. Turn-ons and turn-offs for example, even though the description of each one gives you the exact into which attracts sims. So, I really want EA to move away from making modern North American centered packs and make more historical and culturally themed packs. Ancient China pack Would introduce a new world with a Han or Ming dynasty theme. New CAS and build mode items, new events and careers, and new hobbies and appliances. Add lots of new homestyle, gourmet, and baking recipes with new harvestables and ingredients such as: rice, soy sauce, lotus root, jasmine flower, noodles, jujube, and adzuki beans. Add new off the grid appliances such as bamboo steamer basket (for making dim sum, steamed buns, etc), wood stove with wok, and icehouse storage (fridge). Add new activities such as paper folding, calligraphy, chinese opera, and pitch pot game. Add new instruments: pipa (guitar) and zither (piano), add new crafting stations: table loom (for embroidery/weaving), engraving, and stone carving skills. Add new martial arts skill and equipment. Allow sims to participate in martial arts competitions and spar. Add new careers: emperor, clothier, tactician, and court minister. Add new market stalls, a new garden plot (rice paddy), and a new transport vehicle palanquin. Add new event: coronation. Victorian Pack Would introduce a new world with a Victorian England theme. New CAS and build mode items, new events and careers, and new hobbies. Add new activities such as: clay pigeon shooting. Add new event: debutant ball. Add new etiquette skill with curtsy animations. Add new careers: governess (like a private tutor) and seamster. Persian pack Would introduce a new world with a Persian theme. NEW CAS and build mode items, new careers and activities, and new skills and events. New homestyle, gourmet, and baking recipes with new harvestables and ingredients such as dates, figs, apricots, and turmeric. New careers: carpet salesman and oil tycoon. New activities and skills: metalworking and wrestling. Add new events and traditions that are culturally accurate.22Views1like1CommentInfinite saving/loading screens
I originally started having this issue after the September update and saw other people were having the same issue and followed all the advice given. updated all mods removed all CC started a new save (with no CC) removed off-the-grid lot types switched back to DX9 Unfortunately, none of these worked so I decided to wait until the next patch and try again. After the October patch, I updated everything and it's still happening. Whether I'm loading/travelling with a family, exiting CAS, or saving when building on a community lot. I'm completely out of ideas of what I can do at this point; I have plenty of space on my PC and while loading can be slow sometimes, I know that's because I have quite a few packs and CC and I've never minded. But the infinite screens are getting too much, I can't play the game at all without running in to one and I end up losing any progress I've made. Really hoping someone can help or this bug can be lessened at least in the next update. 🤞740Views3likes12Comments
