Hi everyone! I hope you're all enjoying the new forum so far. I know I am!! I'm Charla, a big fan of The Sims 4! ☺️ I was going to join on the old one, but, as it only had a week left I decided to wait until today. I loved lurking on the what happened in your game today thread so I thought would create a new one here. So what's happened in your game today? Today in my game I was playing as a character I created, Lauren Lord. She's an young adult, who dreams of being an author and a mom. Currently she's working as a school teacher, but today she had no work, she stayed at home and played chess and tended to her plants (when it wasn't raining!). I also made this new Sim :) hope the pic works! Look forward to seeing what's happening in your games. X
One Month One World One Year Challenge 2026
Hello and welcome. :) This challenge was started by Karababy52 (see more here) and I would like to continue it on for another year if I can. Hopefully more people can join in. The more the merrier! The premise of this challenge is pretty simple. The goal is to post one in-game screenshot once a day during the 2026 year. So, kind of like a 365 project for your sims. You will start out with a teen sim and pick your starting world. I'll share a list of suggestions, but really you can pick whatever you want. Your sim will be a teen for 3 real world months, then age-up to Young Adult in April. They will spend 4 months as a Young Adult, then age-up to Adult in July. They will spend 4 more months as an Adult, then age-up to Elder in December. Each month your sim will move to a new world to explore. I've taken all the rules and guidelines here and copied them over from Karababy52's 2023 post and edited them slightly. Rules/Guidelines: One screenshot post per real life day in this thread with a short text summary. One world per real life month - See monthly schedule of worlds in spoiler below. Optional: May change schedule of worlds to reflect your preferences. Your challenge Sim MUST be a teen to officially begin this challenge and post in the thread. Exception: If you are starting the challenge late, you may begin in the current month at whatever age the challenge is at, or you may start as a teen to quickly finish your aspiration and school, then fast forward to the current age. (Example - if you start in April you may hurry through the teen stage and age up to YA, or just start as YA). After three real life months have passed, your Sim will age up to young adult for four months, adult for four months and finally, age up to an elder for December. Timeline posted in spoiler below. Optional: How long your Sim stays in each life stage, teen-elder, is at your own discretion. However, they are required to be at minimum a young adult to attend Uni in Britechester. *Note: If you own the High School Years EP, your Sims may be offered early graduation. If they take the offer, your teen is allowed to apply, enroll, and attend university or join full-time adult careers. Begin Rags to Riches style on an empty lot with 0 simoleons. Optional: Use the 20,000 starting simoleons to buy a starter home and furnish it how you want. Aging off. Optional: May use long lifespan. All unplayed residential worlds are off limits for any kind of travel. Exception: Newcrest may be designated a 'neutral' world to place venues for your Sim to use regardless of their current world residence. Optional: Newcrest may be used to replace a pack you don't own instead. Optional: Your sim may travel to other worlds not used in the challenge if they get an invitation. Sims may take a vacation to any of the designated vacations worlds. Rental lots in unplayed residential worlds are off limits. Aspirations released with a world must be fulfilled first. May choose a base game or other pack aspiration not in the challenge to complete afterward. Optional: Only one aspiration released with a world must be completed before choosing base game or other pack aspirations. Willow Creek, Oasis Springs, Newcrest and Magnolia Promenade may be used in substitution for worlds listed in the challenge for packs you may not own. In that event, choose one or two base game or other packs aspirations not in the challenge to complete per world. Your Sim may marry and/or have children. Aging up children is at your own discretion. High School attendance is not required. May use cheats to fulfill daily/promotional task requirements. *Exception: Applicable only if you do not own the High School Years EP or if you do own it, but have elected not to have your Sim live in Copperdale and do the aspirations associated with the EP in your challenge. The beginning of each new month/world starts Rags to Riches style. Optional: Your Sim may keep everything they have accumulated and use their funds to buy or build a new house, or even move their house to their new world. If your challenge Sim dies, it's game over. Optional: You may bring them back to life and continue or use another existing Sim in the household to complete the challenge. Or, keep playing as a ghost! Occult states and Celebrity statuses must be removed when progressing to the next month/world. Optional: May keep acquired lifestates/statuses. *Note: Vampires can't get a suntan, which is a Beach Life aspiration task. If a new world is released with a new pack at any time during 2026, you have the option to swap the new world with another prior released world. Give yourself a break and don't stress over days missed due to internet outages, vacations/holidays, real life work/responsibilities or sickness. Extra story screenshots may be posted, but try to keep it to around 5-10 max. There's no limit for screenshots shared on your blog. May use satisfaction points to buy rewards. Exception: Money tree seeds are disallowed. Lottery tickets are disallowed for purchase. Beginning season, length of days and moon phases are your choice. May turn off or cheat away/change all Eco Lifestyle features applied to worlds. Exception: Must be turned on while living in Evergreen Harbor. May participate in all default Holidays, modify, delete and/or add your own. May include a link to your preferred Blog site with additional story text/screenshots, in addition to your Daily Post Pic/Text Summary. Mod friendly challenge! However, please use discretion when using them. Using a mod to fulfill an aspiration is disallowed. Exception: May be used to correct bugs and/or glitches. Worlds/Packs and Age-Up Timeline: *Note: Feel free to replace any pack you don't own with one of your choosing! Beginning Age: Teen January - Copperdale (Highschool Years) OR Nordhaven (Businesses and Hobbies) if you choose to do Copperdale third (I just feel like starting with it). February - Gibbi Point (Adventure Awaits) March - Nordhaven (Businesses and Hobbies) OR Copperdale (Highschool Years) April 1st: Age up to Young Adult April - Britechester (Discover University) May - Innisgreen (Enchanted by Nature) June - Ciudad Enamorada (Lovestruck) July - Tomarang (For Rent) August 1st: Age up to Adult August - Moonwood Mill (Werewolves) September - Tartosa (My Wedding Stories) October - Ondarion / vacation in Batuu (Royalty and Legacy / Star Wars) November - Evergreen Harbor (Eco Lifestyle) December 1st: Age up to Elder December - Ravenwood (Life and Death) Challenge End Date: December 31, 2026 Challenge Pack Aspirations (Pick one, or play them all): January - Live Fast, Admired Icon, Goal Oriented, Drama Llama *Note - Challengers who own HSY not living in Copperdale this month may complete the Live Fast and Drama Llama aspirations at any time as a teen. Joining teens at high school is not required to fulfill them. February - Critter Hunter March - Esteemed Entrepreneur, Master Mentor April - Academic May - Fairy Stories, Elixir Enthusiast, Nature Nomad June - Romantic Explorer, Paragon Partner July - Seeker of Secrets, Five-star Property Owner, Fount of Tomarani Knowledge, Discerning Dweller August - Complete Werewolf Initiate and pick 2 of the following; Emissary for the Collective, Wildfang Renegade, Lone Wolf, Cure Seeker Optional: Complete all aspirations September - Soulmate (I know, it's Basegame, but My Wedding Stories doesn't come with an aspiration...) Optional: Choose any aspiration if you don't want to do Soulmate October - Social Puppeteer, Hope Vs. Order, Galactic Privateer November - Master Maker, Eco Innovator December - Ghost Historian I chose the list of worlds based on my personal preferences and packs I haven't fully explored yet, so feel free to change it however you like. All of my packs disappeared?
I was simply about to play the game and then I got onto it and it said it had to update so I shut my laptop and waited then about an hour later I got onto the ea app and it signed me out so I go and I try like literally everything to fix it and it won't fix and ea also won't even let me start a live chat!

Sims/Pets age up multiple times in a row
Its been about three weeks now and my infant will age up to toddler only to immediately age up to a child. I play super vanilla, only using the packs for content; no crazy downloads or mods. I've looked online to see if anyone else has been having this issue and it does not seem to be a lot which makes me worried. I've been trying to do the Sims 100 Baby Challenge and I'm at a complete stand still because my kids keep 'double aging' as I've been calling it. PS4/PS5 Eco Lifestyle Unresolved flickering pyramids texture glitch
This texture rendering failure is still completely unresolved on console. The terrain in Evergreen Harbor violently flickers into giant geometric pyramids, making the paid pack unplayable. Even though this has been a known, verified bug for years, it remains completely ignored. I am currently too scared to even re-download the pack because it hasn't been fixed. Standard console troubleshooting does not resolve this engine conflict as I have tried every possible method there is. Could a Community Manager please escalate this to the QA Engineering team? (This attached video is from last year and I've seen reports in other forums from other members that this has gotten worse since then on both playstation 4 & 5.)
Console issues after recent update
Since the recent update release, my game has been crashing mainly when I’m in build mode. The build buy and cas items still show as new every time I open cas and build buy and this has been an issue since the marketplace update. My packs still show as unowned on the gallery which has been a problem since the marketplace update and the new autosave settings aren’t working. I currently only have the reminder on due to the game crashing and not wanting my saves messed up but the reminders aren’t working. Everytime the game crashes it completely resets and when I open the game again I have to redo my settings and all my saves are gone. Thankfully I have my game data backed up to my console so I’m able to get it back easily but it’s really frustrating that the game keeps crashing.
I wish I could trade in packs I no longer want...
I wish I could trade in packs and kits that I ended up not really using for a fraction of what I spent. Like 50% or even 25% the price/value for EA store credit or even Moola if the Moola marketplace gets more transaction transparency/history. Like why should we "disable" packs we paid for for nothing, rather uninstall them for good and get a little bit back... If this was added I would be eternally grateful to cleanup my sim saves and exchange it for some of the new kits. Make sure to have many popups to confirm that you really want to permanently exchange an old pack for store credit or Moola before it occurs though...Two expansion packs completely missing...
Hi! Haven't played The Sims 4 in about a year so I thought I would give it a shot. Firstly, when I opened the EA Games app, I was asked to download an update that took quite some time. Ok, opened and unable to play my old sims family because they require seasons to play. Well, looked all around and can not find "Seasons" or "For Rent", two expansion packs I bought years ago. To my dismay, they are now full price when I got them for dollars before. What gives? I've searched this forum already, I have cleared the cache, repaired the game and the EA games app, I've done several things hoping to troubleshoot easily and nothing has worked. I am really angry and want to blame someone for this although it seems unlikely I can blame the company that took over the game. Please help. :( Simming since the 90s.

Alright,this needs to be said.We are going to have playable faries.There not npcs or special pets.On Simscomunity we have a picture that shows life size faries.
