Hi everyone! I hope you're all enjoying the new forum so far. I know I am!! I'm Charla, a big fan of The Sims 4! ☺️ I was going to join on the old one, but, as it only had a week left I decided to wait until today. I loved lurking on the what happened in your game today thread so I thought would create a new one here. So what's happened in your game today? Today in my game I was playing as a character I created, Lauren Lord. She's an young adult, who dreams of being an author and a mom. Currently she's working as a school teacher, but today she had no work, she stayed at home and played chess and tended to her plants (when it wasn't raining!). I also made this new Sim :) hope the pic works! Look forward to seeing what's happening in your games. X
sims 4 wont start with any mods
So my game works perfectly fine with out any mods, but as soon as I put literally 1 file, it doesn't work. I tried downloading a brand new cc and it still does not work. I recently had a problem with this, but somehow fixed it, didn't touch it, went to play and realised my mods just disappeared from my sims 4 folder? and now every time I try to add any, it does not work. Hi Simmers! I wanted to suggest a deeper, more interactive pregnancy experience in The Sims 4—whether through a base game update or a dedicated game/expansion pack (all without needing mods or CC!). Right now, pregnancy is super simplified and could use a refresh to match how rich and story-driven other life stages have become. Here are some fun and meaningful features that could enhance pregnancy gameplay: Maternity Clothes: Add a proper collection of maternity outfits that work throughout all trimesters—casual, formal, athletic, and sleepwear—so pregnant Sims can stay stylish and comfortable without needing CC. Maternity & Family Photoshoots: Include photo sessions specifically for pregnant Sims—solo, with their partner, or with the whole family. These could create new framed photos or decor items with sentimental value. Baby Shopping Trips: Sims could go shopping for nursery items (cribs, toys, clothes, etc.), either through active lots or rabbit holes. It could come with moodlets like “Ready for Baby” or “Nesting Complete.” Gender Reveals & Twin Discoveries: Add the option for Sims to have a gender reveal event (cake, confetti, or balloon pop reveal!) and receive a special doctor visit or scan to find out if they’re having twins (or triplets!). These could be emotional moments for Sims and fun to plan. Prenatal Checkups or Classes: Sims could attend prenatal visits or birthing classes that give relationship boosts with the baby or partner, and provide helpful moodlets or unique pregnancy buffs. Expanded Emotions & Buffs: Pregnancy could bring deeper emotions—excitement, nerves, fatigue, cravings, bonding moments, and even anxious thoughts about labor or parenthood. Pregnancy Announcements & Mini Events: Include new ways to tell friends or family the big news—like a dinner party with the option to announce the pregnancy or share a sonogram photo. Guests could react differently depending on their traits! These features could add so much depth and storytelling potential—perfect for simmers who love generational or family gameplay. All of this could easily fit into a base game refresh or a future family/pregnancy-themed pack. No mods or CC needed—just more life built into the game itself. So basically I recently got the seasons expansion pack and the actual seasons and events work and stuff but the build mode items and cas items from the pack don't really work. For example, the build mode are like either have a red x on them and can not be placed or a rainbow ish color that I can place and works for example the Christmas tree my sim can put decorations on it. But i can not change the color so it's always that rainbow ish color. For the cas items are broken and the image to select it, most of it is invisible or has that red and white checkered pattern with a question mark on it and when I put it on, it either has has that red and white checkered pattern with a question mark on it or the part of the body is missing and a black square is on the mouth and around it and a question mark on the forehead. Does anyone know the solution, because I would like to able to play freely. Fyo I have mods and cc if that helps.

With fairies finally officially confirmed by the trailer and the blog post I think it is time to have a proper discussion about them, similar to how we already a have a world discussion about the new pack as well. Here are some screenshots. I will add a list with what we know so far in the first post. Please feel free to join in on what you think of them so far.
