Hi everyone! I hope you're all enjoying the new forum so far. I know I am!! I'm Charla, a big fan of The Sims 4! ☺️ I was going to join on the old one, but, as it only had a week left I decided to wait until today. I loved lurking on the what happened in your game today thread so I thought would create a new one here. So what's happened in your game today? Today in my game I was playing as a character I created, Lauren Lord. She's an young adult, who dreams of being an author and a mom. Currently she's working as a school teacher, but today she had no work, she stayed at home and played chess and tended to her plants (when it wasn't raining!). Salve, mi è stato suggerito dall'assistenza di postare anche qui, perché sembra sia un problema noto di questi giorni. Il fatto è che, dopo ore e ore di fatica per creare relazioni di amicizia e amore (SOPRATTUTTO quelle parentali), all'improvviso, da stanotte, i Sims in coppia hanno iniziato a lottare a caso, pur avendo al massimo amore e amicizia. Stessa cosa, due Sims, che avevano amicizia con i figli al massimo da SEMPRE, mi tornano da lavoro e glieli vedo in rosso (hanno litigato a caso quando non guardavo?). Cosa sta succedendo? Premetto che non ho mod e non ho toccato niente di relativo alle relazioni, soltanto i soliti "muovi oggetto" per costruire e "modifica in full mode" (sempre usati, da quando gioco); credo dipenda più da qualche bug generale o da qualche pack aggiuntivo che ho preso da poco. Sospetto dipenda dall'espansione Vita e Morte, forse per la caratteristica della "sofferenza". Vorrei, però, far presente che ho questo problema con Sims che in quel momento non stanno soffrendo o non si arrabbiano; principalmente, è successo tutte le volte quando erano tranquilli. Il problema è serio (in ambito gioco, ovviamente), perché mi sono arrivati all'odio più rosso e ora mi è quasi impossibile far tornare le relazioni com'erano, giocando "pulito". Se è un bug, sono ore e ore di gioco perso e, vista la statistica dei casi tutti insieme in un giorno e mezzo, propendo per il sì. P.S. Poi, va beh, non funzionano neanche i cestini nella casa del capotribu sulle Isole, ma per quello posso aspettare. xDGrowing Together
Ever since purchasing and installing growing together, MY SIMS WONT LEAVE THE NEWBORN/INFANT ALONE, let alone actually do the task given to them that involves the child. I spent ten minutes trying to get my son to put the baby to bed in the crib and they repeatedly kept taking the child out and just setting them on the floor. Hate to say it but that kid is about to just be raise on the floor entirely with how many issues I’m having. I’m not sure the sims obsession with checking on the child as well. I have autonomy turned off so it shouldn’t happen yet here my sims are ignoring the off autonomy and giving themselves tasks that involves the infant. It’s making it impossible to play and enjoy playing children/infants. I was truly excited for more “immersive” family dynamicsWill Life and Death EP be Discounted at 50% on Oct. 31st Onward?
Currently Life and Death EP is still at 38% off during a sale. I read from reddit that EPs only become discounted at 50% after a year and Life and Death EP will have been out for a year on Oct. 31st. Do you think it will go up to 50% off by then or do we need to wait for the next sale after the current one? Hello, this is my first post here so I apologize if I do anything wrong. My game has been crashing (particularly in build-mode but also outside of it) and/or freezing since I downloaded the nursery kit last year. I use some basic mods (primarily **bleep**), but even turning them off doesn't seem to help at this point. They've been inactive/turned off in game for months. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game entirely, and this also didn't help. I use an NVIDIA driver and always have, and recently installed a different, earlier version in an attempt to fix my issue. It did not. I have searched through the sims 4 discord as well as various forums, EA-run and otherwise, and none of the solutions offered have helped. I have tried everything I've been able to understand. At this point, I can play maybe 5 minutes if I'm lucky. It's been about a year now that this has been happening. I keep up with updates, and repair the game/packs regularly. I'm very frustrated because I've spent a lot of money on this game, and I've had it since it came out. I got the first pets pack on disc I've been playing for so long. I don't know what to do, and I'd really appreciate some help/suggestions on how to fix my game. If you played with many households/families in your save (rotational players), did you ever have an issue that "romantic satisfaction" (Ex, [Sim1] romantic feeling about [Sim2]) dropped to be "Very Unsatisfied" even if it was neutral or better before. That is because Romantic satisfaction can decay in both active and inactive households. Just do nothing about love can finally make their relationship bitter. Like this... Why do they look sad? This is the reason. I haven't played the Laurent household before, and this couple didn't have a bitter relationship before as well. But now, not only this couple, every couple that is generated after installing Lovestruck pack will be like this after you play the game for over a week. (I mean, if you start a new save after having this pack --> every couple will be affected) ---- This "Unsatified" will make a sad moodlet to them and make them sad. And it's really bad that you can't stop every couple's decay without mod. (Glad that there is a mod, I will mention later.) This would be so much trouble for the rotational player! ---- However, this seems to be related to another issue... "Too many "Lovestruck" couples everywhere!" This issue I opened discussion here --> https://forums.ea.com/discussions/the-sims-4-feedback-en/too-many-lovestruck-couples-everywhere/4958170 I want to prove my speculation about the reason why the game with Lovestruck EP keeps spawning couples to the lot (and mostly sit on the bench to look at the sky). And then I found that... this might be the system to solve the Romantic Satisfaction decay. The way this system solves the issue is... to make them improve the Romantic Satisfaction while being a background NPC. Without a mod to prevent them, players who have Lovestruck will be many couples doing romantic things while being the lot. Most of them are "sky gazing". I wonder if these interactions will help fix their unsatisfied romantic feelings or not. The answer is... YES. From "Very Unsatisfied" before they appeared in the park as background lover... To be "Unsatisfied" the next day when I recheck them. ---- So, I believed that the game uses this system to keep NPC couples still being satisfied with romantic feelings, while the game has a decay system for every sim in the game. If you prevent "Lovestruck couples" in the lot, the outcome will be "everyone will be very unsatisfied." This is a very bad method to deal with, in my opinion. Inactive couples' satisfaction shouldn't decay too quickly like this. It's impossible to manage every family if you're rotational players! And to fix by using many couples invading the neighborhood isn't a good solution! ------------- Fortunately, there is a mod to fix this "decay". Lovestruck: Romantic Satisfaction: No Time Decay by Lumpinou https://www.patreon.com/posts/mod-per-request-109503418 This mod will remove decay completely, including active household. So, you can play rotation with peace. And even a single household player won't worry that NPC couples will be sad with the decay they can't prevent. **I haven't tested myself yet because I found out today, but I think it will work** (There is a mod for stopping decay only in inactive households, but it's in the mod hub that seems to require making an account, so I won't mention) -------------- That's all I know for now. Sorry for such a long post. I want to share this because I don't like to have couples invade the community lots but I don't want them to be sad because "satisfaction decay" as well. I may misunderstand something because this is just my observation. I'm not the modder, so I don't know any code deeper than what can be shown in "MCCC" and "Show Sim Info" mod. The Sims 4 is a 10-year-old game with over 100 DLC packs (106), and EA will likely keep releasing more for years. Competing life-sim games like Inzoi and Paralives offers much of this content in their base game. For example, Inzoi can provide content equivalent to 30–40 Sims 4 packs in its basegame for the price of just one expansion pack(40$) and we already have 20 of them. To stay competitive and keep players engaged, EA should make some older packs permanently free—such as Seasons, Cats & Dogs and Get to Work. Giving 2–4 free packs from each pack category would greatly benefit new players so they can complete other packs without pirating. For players who already own these packs, EA could offer new Kits free for a month (like they did with Desert Luxe Kit when The Sims 4 became free). I think forever free packs should be; 2 expansion packs -> seasons, cats and dogs (out of 20 eps) 2 game packs -> dine out, get to work (out of 12 gps) 4 stuff packs -> cool kitchen, bowling night, backyard, spooky (out of 20 sps) 4 kits -> throwback fit, industrial loft, blooming rooms, carnaval streetwear (out of 40 kits of excluding 11 creator kits and 2 spongebob kits, total 53)19KViews39likes52CommentsPack Idea: On the Move or Getting Around (Transportation)
I liked that we were able to have cars/vehicles in Sims3. I thought it was a bit weird to have a relationship with a vehicle, but I do understand forming an attachment to a vehicle. I have my truck named. We do have some bicycles, but I'd like even more modes of transportation and more accessories related to them. First would be the vehicles themselves-- from more bicycles, e-bikes, scooters, mopeds, unicycles, tricycles, vespa, motorcycles, motorcycle with sidecar, 3-wheeled bicycle, 3-wheeled mini car, skateboards, hoverboards, rollerskates, rollerblades, etc to firetrucks, ambulances, hearses, 18-wheelers, buses, campers, etc. Horse drawn carriages, wagons, etc for off-the-grid stuff would be cool too. Some caravan trailers that can double as homes-- allowing for trailer parks. Maybe even some full RVs that can be parked at an RV/trailer park would be nice. Let's not forget 4-wheelers/ATVs and golf carts. Maybe even flying or hovering cars could be included. Of course this would need more clutter relating to the objects. More garage items: spare wheels, tools, storage racks for bikes, parking spaces, more garage doors (both deco and functional), ramps to enter garages or a way to have a ground level garage connected to a house that is higher up, 2-story garage doors (as well as some 2-story doors, gates, and fences). As for specific vehicles, I'd love a Bowden Spacelander for a bike. I'd also love a Volvo Amazon P130 sedan circa 1965. The 2 door version and 4-door versions would be nice.
