Fix the matchmaking in WoC
Hi, feels nice to pay 60% more for a game that is actually broken. Our team has played the whole week and everyday its hours sitting in the dressing room as we are connected to North America opponents while we are based in Europe. Matchmaking fix needs to happen fast. Just bring back the same options as you did have in the 24.. Please react fast as ppl are really getting angry inside the community because you cannot play decent games in EASHL/WoC. Also add the match my room size in there. Thanks bye.
EASHL Matchmaking
I can speak for all EASHL players when I say the latest 'patch' did nothing to fix matchmaking. Can someone from EA please explain why there is no match room size, or server location and why the hell was it taken out? We have been unable to find matches, and if we do it's against Europe team with 180+ ping, or teams with 4/6 while we have 6/6. Please fix ASAP.
Features Missing / Bugs
Please fix this EA, I know the game has only just come out but it shouldn’t have launched like this… 1 - Exact Region / Group Size missing on Chel… This is a huge problem and if it’s not a bug needs to be added back asap! 2 - Intermission / Inbetween Play Overlays such as the Grudge Match and Highlights stay on screen for too long resulting in missing the face off / start of a play, this is happening for my friend too but doesn’t happen to us all the time… 3 - Turning vibration off in controller settings does not disable vibration (PS5) 4 - Turning off controller audio then quitting the game / restarting PS5 turns controller audio back on 5 - There was an issue where I couldn't leave the loadout select menu in the EASHL 3v3 lobby 6 - Missing NHL / AHL colour options in custom branding when customising the brand of your chel team 7 - Alt Jersey not saving jersey or socks when going in team practice on chel (none scrimmage) 8 - Replay showing previous goal scored instead of penalty (wrong replay being shown) 9 - Menus are ridiculously laggy and slow yet again, though not much that can probably be done regarding that now I guess… Some of these bugs / missing features are game breaking honestly, didn’t pay all this money for the deluxe edition to experience this day one, I 110 percent won’t be buying at launch ever again! If it takes too long to correct the above… (Other than that I love how the game plays, the skating physics etc, but come on please fix what I and others have mentioned sooner rather than later otherwise this game will flop)
State of EASHL / WoC
With the removal of search settings, “queue dodging” is becoming a widespread issue. Player goalies are being forced into unfair matchups against AI, and lag in some games is completely out of control with the server region settings gone. it’s now harder than ever to get into a game, and even more difficult to enjoy the game you get into. Many posts have been made about this issue, and it’s yet to be addressed leaving me to believe that the removal of this feature is intentional. Looking for a community manager response
Matchmaking In WoC
There are a lot of unbalanced matchmaking going on this year and it’s really putting a damper on the game. I understand that the game will have a larger pool of players to match make with in the coming months but it’s currently wrecked. Very rarely will you be placed in a match with players that are near you in skill level. Meaning the discrepancy between your team and your opponents teams ranking points are MASSSIVE. This forces teammates to often quit the game because they can’t keep up with that play style. The largest gap I’ve seen so far was 13,000 RP. That’s totally unrealistic and unreasonable. I’ve never even had one game where everyone was within the same rank.

Can’t Find A Game 60+ Minutes
EA_Aljowhat is going on with the matchmaker? I’ve tried quick play and dropin 3’s there are no matches. We just sit there and it times out 3 times after 3+ minutes. But after waiting 10 minutes with no matches I can leave while that team is still searching and instantly find another group of people. Then I can leave them while they are still searching and find anther one. And another. It takes less than 30 seconds to find another group of people and I can hop rooms like crazy finding more people searching. But none of those groups are getting matched up because then I’ll wait another 10 minutes with one of them and same thing despite me being able to bounce at any time and find a new group. Why are all these people sitting in lobbies not playing each other? There’s no reason I should be waiting 10 minutes then leave and find a new group of people to wait with in 15 seconds . My Week 1 Issues
My issues after the first days of play on PS5. Visual Issues Snow effect is cool, but unrealistic and way over the top, no player gets that much snow on their pants. Contrast/saturation issue. Darks are too dark, weird lighting on crowds. Replays are broken, specifically after the opposing team gets a penalty a replay of a past goal will be shown. Final couple frames of goal celebration animation result in aggresive and choppy character deformation. No NHL/AHL preset colours are in the creation zone. This has always been a feature and the idea to remove this is a backwards move in terms of improving the game. Cannot rotate player in the player customization screen, nor in the club creation zone (restarting the game fixes this, but I shouldnt have to). Not an issue but would like to see team logos added to the scoreboard. The team did a great job with it, its just a tad bare at the moment. Gameplay Issues Grudge match is triggered despite having never played against any of the opposing players. Goalies let in far too many weak goals (bouncing of goalie and dropping in/own goals). Goalies do not react at all while in butterfly if the shooting player is in close, same issue for using RS to slide. Matchmaking settings need to be present, this has been a setting for as long as I can remember and serves no purpose to remove from the game. Overlapping menus/input while in the eashl locker room and WOC store. While pressing L1/L2 in the storefront, the menu for player loadout was popping up. See attached clip. Despite addressing the issue last year, we are back to square one when it comes to the full pressure bar. The community was displeased last year and wanted the bar to fill slower. With that in mind the pressure bar increases too fast (entering the zone and taking 1 shot almost fully filled the meter). Vibration randomly turns on and off throughout games. After a whistle, a syncing loading screen pops up, and then disappears after the puck has been dropped and the faceoff either won/lost. Performance Issues Menus are laggy, this is unacceptable for a next gen only game, and needs optimization. Lag is particularily bad while in the WOC store. Syncing is occuring frequently, my guess is that this is due to the matchmaking features that were removed, so we are no longer able to find a local(ish) game. Audio Audio balance is poor. Skate cuts are way too loud, same thing with pass noises it sounds unrealistic and unpleasant.Editing Players Appearance/ Stats Within Rosters/Franchise mode
Can you finally edit players appearance/ stats? I've asked this every year, not one real answer why it's never been added. It's such a simple feature for sports games, I swear for franchise/ rosters we've never been able to simply edit a players hair, EVER. We've had - UI changes to franchise mode/ creation zone, roster sharing, new hair added, no new beards since playoff beards back in NHL 16, boring old standard goalie helmets that are even older, the ability to edit player stats removed. WHY DO ALL THIS AND NOT EVENTUALLY DECIDE "let's open up all those basic, unnecessarily greyed out options that all other sports games have (are there other sports games with EA NHLs lack of customization?) I do love what has been done to franchise mode this year, for full price tho? All of this is just waaay way to long overdue, who's ever heard of a hockey player growing their hair out? $90CAD or $50CAD on sale to either sim multiple seasons so I can get drafts of normal looking players/I just create tons of players again .For a franchise player like me, so far these are missing basic quality of life updates not a full price upgrade. Please prove me wrong EA.
