All true, but they don't care. I hope 2025 is the last year of this game if this is how it's going to be. This season I've been going in for a few minutes a day to see everything you've described. I've uninstalled the game and I'm waiting for the moment when they'll retract most of the stupid changes from s20-24. Then I'll come back. This is not Apex Legends anymore. This is a completely different game, but focused mainly on professionals and cheaters. By the way, this season shows that there are still plenty of the latter and EAC sucks.

I've basically stopped playing Apex after it having been my addiction at one point.  The last 4 seasons have been "they can't possibly make it worse, but then they did".  I play a match here and there, but it is just horrifically painful to do so most of the time.

Fortnite is actually very fun...lowkey but familiar.  Downloaded FragPunk and am getting the hang of that one.  Need to find a fun single player shooter or maybe run through Baldurs Gate 3 again.  Lots of options out there.

I too went from playing apex 4 hours per day on weekdays and practicing 6 hours in the firing range on Saturdays, to now just doing the bare minimum to maintain my skills and get a few BP levels in case they fix the game.  I decided to download Fortnite, Strinova, Star Wars Hunters, Farlight84, Snowbreak, Marvel Rivals, and Overwatch, and I decided that Fortnite felt the most like the pre season 20 apex.  The gun fights are fair, even when I lose I don't feel cheated, and it has that fun and happy feel that pre season 20 apex had all the time.  Today's apex is nothing but people upset and it honestly gives me a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach just logging in now.  I really miss how good apex used to be and I suppose Fortnite fills that void in a way, but I am still holding out hope we get the old apex back someday.

Honestly, I am insanely good at Apex Legends and have spent more than 1500 dollars on it at least, and have played a little less than 2000 hours on the game. I am done. I remember I would attack a trio squad by myself, and kill the entire squad, of course my friend helps by using his Gibby bubble and all, even he deals good dmg when he wants to, we used to play together, just me and him, and win every game in trios, but now? We can’t do anything, I have to lock in just to win, and sometimes I still can’t get a dub, since there are Ashes, third parties, and Eva-8s, seriously. I have had enough of all these “pros” talking garbage about the casuals or players who don’t like the TTK, saying garbage like “Nah, I’ll keep hitting 4K wins”. Let me guess, you love playing Ash, having an Eva-8 and Rampage as your loadout, and having 8 grenades in your bag? Me and my friend ended up playing Ash and Bangalore, to see if we could get a dub, we got one the first try, we were in higher lobbies too. Assault class is way too strong. I’m a sweat, but even I don’t enjoy this TTK. I hope more people comment and like this post, I want Respawn to see this.

Not defending here. Respawn has reached the point of indefensibility.

But the gameplay and the cosmetics are the things they have control over. That's why they do what they do with them. They can't stop cheaters. They no longer have enough players for functional matchmaking, although even when they did it wasn't. One thing they could do is put an end to secondaries, but that's one thing they will never do. So what's left? Try to recoup revenue from the remaining players by charging ludicrous prices for nonsense. And make radical changes to gameplay in an attempt to appeal to the ten year olds in the population. This is what it's all come to. This is how it ends. Not with a bang...

Yeah, time to start looking for the next game. Problem is, they all **bleep** now. There hasn't been a good shooter since Reach. Honestly, I tried Fortnite once for about five minutes. Just no. Maybe it's time to take up reading.

See, the matchmaking graph at the start of the match is a terrible idea. All it does it inform people that they are clearly trash right at the start of the match. Can't count the number of times since they added that that the entire squad left the match in the dropship, cause they knew they didn't have a chance at all. 

If they hadn't churned enough of the type 3s, 4s, and 5s out with their terrible updates, bad balance, and even worse matchmaking, then maybe that graph would help. Because the "grey region" (aka the population range of the sample) would be a very thin bar, meaning that most of the people were evenly matched. Instead, the grey region is easily covering half the population or more, every match, which means those few type 3, 4 and 5s in the match are just there to feed kills to the streams of the types 1 and 2s. 

It's sad, but it's a clear, statistical illustration, of the game bleeding the population. 

They are going to have to let people get credit towards the season passes in Bot Royale at this rate. 

Honestly, the older I get and the less time I have for things designed to WASTE MY TIME the less I do video games, unless they are single player with a great story. I recently got CONTROL, and that thing was awesome. Been a long time that I 100%-ed a game that wasn't a Zelda game.

Agree, and disagree. Yes, it's a bad idea in the sense that it causes people to mentally check out of the match even if they don't actually quit. I've done both. A lot.

But I also think it's pretty brave on their part to show us up front just how terrible their population and matchmaking problems are at the moment. As others have said, a few seasons ago they were trying to up their skill buckets from five to "more than five," but I'm pretty sure that now we're down to three. Two at off-peak. That's just sad. And the thing is, I know what I'm getting myself into with every match, and I knew it long before they so generously illustrated it for me with the graph. But there are so many people in this game that either don't see the graph, don't understand what it's telling them, or just plain don't care or don't believe it. I'm not saying that all the data on the graph is 100% accurate, but it's still a pretty good indicator of how you can expect the match to go. And that's always how it goes.

All in all, I'd rather have the graph than not. Yes, I can see the storm clouds on the horizon for myself, but I still like to have a weather forecast just to confirm that I'm not going crazy.

Soo many things wrong with the game right now. I quit for a little while and came back recently...really wish I hadn't! Just finished the BP for this season so I'm out again.

Usually manage around a 0.9 to 1.0 KD, but am struggling to keep near this now as hot drops are just random ****fests, too many people just leave as soon as they are downed, or even before they land if the graph convinces them they're going to lose anyway. TTK is too quick to even react if another team gets the drop on you, so less chance for a good fight - either drop them quick or be dropped quick. Really think the TTK change only benefits those that are already good and/or fast, or the cheaters. 

Get a reasonable game maybe once in a blue moon, but even then it doesn't feel satisfying as I probably just got the drop on opponents instead of them getting me. Very rarely get a good, fun fight anymore - and that's the thing, no fun anymore.

Soo many games where I actually spend less time in the game than I do in the queue, even at the weekend. Have a weird hunch that the lowered TTK is part of keeping players rotating in and out of matches to keep the queues going! Even the last (failed) takeover with the gold drops was to make the game faster.

It's sad, this game used to be amazing, now they're just trying desperately to **bleep** the last few dollars from the whales to keep afloat. 

This season it's completely destroying the "solo" population, because all the changes speak for a very team-based game with communication, and there's no solo queque.

Soon Apex Legends will be a game only for professionals. That's what Respawn is heading for.

It's much harder to repel an opponent's attack in 3stack, there's much less time to react and think about what to do. You're pushed in 3 seconds by the entire team and so on in every next game.

For a person in the solo queue, this game is simply unwinnable. You play to win. What's the point of having kills if you're going to lose anyway, because 3stack will run you over in 3 seconds on the final straight?

Give us a competitive mode for people who play solo. Are we going to wait any longer? Oh well - give us that mode and people will decide what they want to play.

But I know, the only thing you'll give us is more stuff in the store. You've only gotten better at that in a year.

To the Director of Respawn - You killed this game with your stupid and crazy ideas. Give way to someone else who will be able to fix all this chaos in the game that you have introduced in the last seasons. You have shown how incompetent you are. Enough of you and your ideas. Man, I honestly hate you. You kill 6 years of gameplay with huge potential in less than a year.
