Career Mode Crashes When Advancing to Next Game
I decided to create a new Career Mode on EAFC 25. I was about 3–4 weeks into the season when, upon advancing to the next game, the game crashed. I received a “report problem” screen on my PS5 with error code CE-108255-1, and the option to report the incident. No matter what I try, I can’t get past that stage of the Career Mode—it just keeps crashing. So I started over with a brand-new Career Mode. This time, the crash happened again—around 4–6 weeks into the season... Troubleshooting steps I’ve tried: Created a new Career Mode – still crashes randomly after a few in-game weeks. Uninstalled and reinstalled the game – no change. PS5 firmware is fully updated Not sure if this helps - there’s nothing unusual or custom about my Career Mode setup. I know some people create custom faces for managers or players, but I just selected a well-known manager who currently manages a League Two club, and used all basic/default settings. Just to add: I had a previous Career Mode with a different team where which was created around 4–6 months ago and never ran into this issue. It seems to have started happening after a recent update. I’ve also noticed Career Mode feeling a bit buggy since then, so I’m wondering if the latest update may have introduced this problem. Can anyone confirm if this is a known issue? I’ve seen similar reports on forums, so I don’t believe I’m the only one experiencing this. Please see attached for more information: Thanks in advance.8.5KViews84likes132CommentsGame crashes upon death
Bug Report: Battlefield 2042 Crash on Death Animation So earlier today I started back playing Battlefield 2042 after not playing for about a year due to the new Dead Space collab with the new Outbreak mode. However, I'm having a serious issue where every time I die, right as the death animation starts to play, the game freezes and crashes immediately with no error message. This happens in all modes. I've looked online and seen others with similar issues. Some reported that deleting the cache folder for the game helped, but it was only a temporary fix — the issue returned within 30–45 minutes. Since deleting the folder didn’t help, I decided to reinstall the game, even though it’s large. Unfortunately, the problem got slightly worse: it started freezing even faster, sometimes before the death animation even starts. I then consulted ChatGPT, which recommended analyzing the crash dump file using a program called WinDbg. I did so, and shared the analysis with ChatGPT to interpret the results. ChatGPT Response Summary: Root Cause Summary: The crash was due to an Access Violation (0xC0000005) — specifically a read from a null or invalid pointer (0x0000000000000008). Crash Details: Module: amdxc64.dll (likely part of AMD graphics drivers) Function: Boost Serialization (boost::archive::detail::iserializer::load_object_data) Crash Reason: Attempted to read from RCX + 8, but RCX was NULL (0x0), leading to a crash. Contextual Clues: Crash occurred while BF2042.exe was running. Involves amdxc64.dll — a common AMD GPU driver library. Occurred during Boost serialization and DirectX 12 GPU pipeline operations. Likely Cause: A pointer used by the AMD graphics driver during deserialization or pipeline setup was NULL, causing the game to crash. So at this point, having done nearly every troubleshooting step and even running diagnostics with the help of ChatGPT, this is the closest I’ve gotten to an explanation. Hopefully someone from the developer team can help investigate further. And yes, before anyone asks — I did try switching the game to run in DirectX 11. The same issue persists. System Specs: CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6750 XT RAM: 32 GB DDR4 OS: Windows 11 Home, 64-bit Driver Version: AMD Adrenalin – latest version as of May 2025 Troubleshooting Performed: Verified game files via Steam Reinstalled the game Updated GPU drivers to the latest AMD version Set game to run as administrator Disabled all overlays (Discord, Steam, Radeon) Disabled all background apps No overclocking is done on this systemDragon Age Veilguard PC crash
My DA Veilguard keeps crashing and is practically unplayable. I have tried everything I can think of but nothing seems to work. It took me three seperate tries to get through character creation before my monitor went black and my PC wouldn't turn off. Each time this happens I have to switch it off by the mains because nothing else works. All drivers are up to date Windows is fully updated Antivirus software is operating well Updated BiOS Verified integrity of game files Set game to run as administrator Reconfigured preferred setting in NVIDIA control panel Deleted shaders in local files Soft reboot my PC Cleared cache and flushed DNS I am at a loss.Severe lag after 1 hour of gameplay : requires restart
Hi, I'm experiencing a major performance issue that seems to affect a lot of players (I asked my community and many confirmed having the same problem). When I first launch the game, everything runs smoothly. Menus like Needs, Inventory, and Aspirations open instantly. Build/Buy mode is fine too, with maybe a tiny freeze the first time, but that’s normal. The issue is: the longer I play, the worse the game performs. - After around 30 minutes, the menus start to feel a bit slower. - After about an hour, the game becomes extremely laggy: - Opening the Needs panel takes a few seconds. - Build/Buy mode freezes for 5–6 seconds before opening. - The Eyedropper tool has a delay of around 2 seconds. - UI and general interactions become very sluggish. The only fix is to completely restart the game. After relaunching, everything is smooth again — but only temporarily. After another 30–60 minutes, the problem comes back. This isn’t a hardware issue. My PC setup: - Intel Core i9-12900K - 64 GB DDR5 RAM - NVIDIA RTX 4090 - Game installed on SSD - No mods, no CC - All expansion packs installed I also tend to play fast-paced, usually on speed 3. In one hour of real-time gameplay, I can go through 10–14 Sim days. It seems like the game is slowly filling up memory or cache that never clears unless I restart. It would be great to know if this has already been reported or tracked by the dev team, because it makes long play sessions really frustrating. Thanks!5.1KViews613likes24CommentsFC 25 Crashing After Latest Update - Unplayable!
Since the latest update, my FC 25 game keeps crashing every time I try to play. Before the update, everything was working fine, but now I can't even get though a match without the game closing by itself. I've tired restarting my system, verifying game files, and reinstalling the game, but nothing works. This issue is making the game completely unplayable and I've seen other players reporting the same problem. EA, please look into this and provide a fix ASAP!. If anyone else is experiencing this, please share your details so we can get this resolved quickly.3.6KViews14likes26CommentsFrozen game/menu after ad
I'm yet again having the issue where the full-screen splash ads for packs that I already own freeze the game and make it unplayable. This is incredibly frustrating and it has been going on - and a fairly common issue - ever since these full-screen splash ads were added to the game. I shouldn't need mods to simply be able to load into the game, and after the last update even mods can't fix it. You've now even got creators EA has partnered with for packs in the past unable to get into their own games due to this. If EA can't get the splash ads to stop freezing the game for all players, they need to either turn them off or let us turn them off. I buy all the packs, but I won't be for much longer if being able to play the game on any given day keeps being a lottery due to the broken splash ads.
