About This OLD, OUTDATED Thread This thread tracks Sims 4 mods and CC that have been "broken" or made obsolete by game update 1.122, March 17, 2026, and the March 18 and March 23 hotfixes, or declared unsupported by their creators. If you have them, please update. If you still have them after that, it's possible that there are other causes. Please do a vanilla test. Grey screen freeze when changing cloth in CAS
I wanted to change my sim’s clothes and the menu never appeared, instead I was stuck with the greyish screen that appeared whenever a menu is on and couldn’t do anything about it (no esc button, no quit button, no « click elsewhere to make it disappear ») except for the forced save and quit the game option. I do not have any mods or cc, I wasn’t playing for that long and my computer wasn’t overheating, it just happened and I was stuck. Edit By crinrict: Adjusted Title
Endless loading to main menu
After the recent update, the game loads surprisingly fast for the first try. But when I enabled custom content in the settings and restarted the game, it now proceeds to load endlessly. Removed all the mods and still getting infinite loading time. Can I revert back to previous version before the June 30 update? Haven't played in almost a month because of this issue.
[GALLERY] Stuck on attempting to connect
Ever since the June 30, 2026 big update, I cannot connect to Gallery or Marketplace in-game after launching from EA App. It shows my status as "offline" even though I am "online" in the EA App. When I am in the game at the main page, I select to open the MarketPlace or open the Gallery, a box pops up and I am prompted to either "stay offline" or "connect". I chose to "connect" and the game just seems to stay in a loop of attempting to connect until I select "stay offline" which stops the game from attempting to connect. I have tried the following fixes: tried opening EA App as an Administrator; repair the game; clear the cache via EA App; repair EA App; uninstalled/reinstalled EA App; cleared the %temp% folder; deleted localthumbcache.package; remove old Sims 4 folder and start with fresh folder devoid of mods; checked my firewall (which Sims 4 has permissions); power-cycled router.; in the Windows Powershell, entered ipconfig /flushdns and press enter, type ipconfig /release and press enter, type ipconfig /renew and press enter, type netsh winsock reset and press enter, type netsh int ip reset and press enter, type netsh interface ipv4 reset and press enter, type netsh interface ipv6 reset and press enter and type netsh interface tcp reset and press enter; increased my virtual memory; and deleted the GameVersion.txt file. I have also deleted all files and folders in the %temp% which seems to be a temporary fix and I can maintain connection to the Gallery and Marketplace for until the next time I log on, then it's back to not being able to connect. I have to keep deleting the files and folders in the %temp% folder in order to be connected ableit temporarily. I have included my DxDiag file and screen shot of the wallet which weirdly shows my moola balance but yet I can't connect to the Marketplace (usually the balance does not show, only "---" when I'm unable to connect). I have no issues connecting to the Gallery via the web using my internet browser (which is Google Chrome). I only experience this issue in-game. I have attached my DxDiag file for any suggestions with my computer. I really just want to be able to access the Gallery seemlessly like I used to before the big update back on June 30th. Thank you!
Purchase Books Option and Skill Books Completely Missing Even After Reinstall
The Purchase Books option is now completely missing from my game. Previously, I could access Purchase Books, but the Skill category was completely missing. Now Purchase Books itself is also gone. I have already tried: Removing all mods and CC Repairing the game through the EA app Generating a completely fresh Sims 4 folder Removing all previous saves Testing with a completely new save Completely uninstalling and reinstalling The Sims 4 GShade was also removed during the reinstall, so I am currently testing with no mods, CC, GShade, or previous saves Trying multiple different bookcases Trying to purchase books through different computers Visiting University and library lots and trying the bookcases/computers there The Purchase Books option and Skill Books are still missing regardless of which bookcase, computer, household, or lot I use. This is happening even after a complete reinstall with a fresh Sims 4 folder and new save. I’m not sure what else I can troubleshoot on my end. Is this a known bug? I’m so sad because I’ve been playing Sims 4 for years and I haven’t really been able to play this game for a while now. ☹Ea skate Game
I think a few changes could make skate. feel much more satisfying. First, the skateboard should visibly wear down over time. The graphic could get scratched and damaged from grinds, slides and tricks instead of staying in perfect condition. That kind of progression would make gameplay more satisfying and make every trick feel like it actually has an impact. I also think the game looks a little too colorful and clean right now. A slightly more gritty, realistic street-skating atmosphere would fit the series better. The street skating physics also feel too stiff. In the older Skate games, especially Skate 3, the movement, momentum and trick landings felt more natural and satisfying. I’d love to see skate. move more in that direction, with more weight, smoother movement and a better overall feeling while skating.
Autosave ignores settings and rolls back/deletes save progress
My sister turned the autosave feature completely off, but the game is ignoring the setting and forcing an autosave anyway. Because of this, her game completely rolled back today. She spent all of yesterday building a brand new house and moving her Sims into it, but when she logged in today, the house was entirely gone and her Sims were forcefully moved back to their old lot. Please fix this bug where autosave stays on and overwrites manual progress!
