Make LandGrab, Alto and SPIRE Apartments Fully Customizable
Hi Sims Team and fellow players, I’m Tommy Hunt username Randy Orton148 and I have a suggestion that could enhance creative building and gameplay in The Sims 4 turning the LandGrab Alto and SPIRE apartments into customizable penthouses. This feature would let us fully redesign these iconic apartments while keeping the rest of their buildings functional, combining luxury with flexibility. Builders and storytellers alike could create stunning penthouse designs that match their gameplay goals. Keywords like ApartmentCustomization #PenthouseBuilding CreativeFreedom might resonate with others who also want this update. I’ve seen similar ideas shared on social media, and I think the EA forums are the perfect place to gather community support. If this is something you’d love to see, let’s discuss it here so the Sims Team can hear us loud and clear! Tommy Hunt10Views0likes0CommentsThree Expansion Pack Ideas
Royalty: I used to play Sims Medieval and loved it so much and wish we had something similar from the Sims 4. CAS would be amazing and The world could be modeled after modern day London, UK, and Royalty mechanics could work similarly to fame in that the work they do adds to their reputation as a monarch or public figure. From my understanding, there’s already tons of lore about a ‘Princess Cordelia’ already canon in the game with tons of memorabilia which suggests she went missing (Amelia Earheart style). This itself could be a huge mission within the pack and could even add ‘Historian’ skill as our sim gets closer to finding the remains of Cordelia. There’s also a shipwreck somewhere in Sulani, so I imagine there could be overlap with the island living pack and maybe even delve into mermaid lore (too much?). Boarding School: Boarding school would be an amazing way to flesh out more activities and lore for children and teens and could be an amazing way to introduce pre-teens as I’ve noticed that is something many simmers would love. It would act similarly to the University pack, and would be a great way for pre-adult sims to interact with one another and build relationships with one another. There could be a delinquency reputation, where some Sims have secret parties, talk back to teachers, or fight with other students, resulting in visitations or calls from parents. Maybe there’s an option to travel to classes with them as well. Again thinking about CAS and how much cool, chic, clothing they could put together, also decorating boarding rooms for the year could be really fun. Superheroes: This could be another Occult option, where Simmers are either born gifted or have to have a certain type of near death experience (Life & Death) to gain superpowers. There could be a max maybe 5 different powers (Telekinesis, Mind Control, Elemental, Invisibility, Shapeshifting: Sims/Animals). This could again connect with Fame + Reputation meters, as some Sims could become evil, creating adversaries or natural nemesis. An added job could be going on missions to save sims, and joining a team (alot like Avengers hahaha) which overlaps with Get Together. I could see there being a social dynamic where many sims don’t accept the existence of Superpower Sims, which could affect friendships, familial, and romantic relationships down the line. I know EA probably has been working on new pack ideas already slated for 2025, but I’m really hoping these could eventually be added! What do you guys think?7Views0likes0CommentsManage Worlds Map
I would love to see the Manage Worlds page in The Sims 4 transformed into an interactive map of the entire Sims world. While many fans have already created these maps, and I often base my gameplay on them, it would be amazing to have an official version integrated into the game. For worlds tied to Expansion Packs and Game Packs, these could appear as greyed-out and locked until the corresponding pack is purchased. This feature would add so much immersion and make navigating the game even more enjoyable! The Reddit user @strangest_sea created an incredible map that I think would be perfect to use as inspiration. It beautifully organises the Sims 4 worlds, and as new worlds are added, they could seamlessly be integrated into specific regions on the map. This would also add for better holiday destinations. This approach would enhance navigation and make the game feel more cohesive and immersive.11Views0likes0CommentsLooking to purchase some packs, need some reccommendations
TLDR: looking for well thought out opinions on some of the more recent packs. This question is aimed at people who own some of the packs already because I want to hear your thoughts on why or why not you would recommend it. I'm a long time sims player and I like to reward myself with a pack or two every once in a while (usually when I accomplish something really difficult) so I've amassed several of the packs. It's time for a reward so I'm trying to figure out what I want. I haven't really been paying attention to the new releases so I'm not sure what to try next before the Black Friday sale. So please help by telling me your faves. My playstyle revolves around building and rotational play. I have a few worlds where I've almost rebuilt everything in the save file and created complex multigenerational family trees. I am in my cottagecore era so lately my sims usually find themselves running a farm or a bakery. I like family play but I also like more interesting and adventurous stuff. When I look at packs, I look at gameplay and BB items because I could not care less about CAS. I am that person that will get sims off the gallery or randomize them. My favorite packs have been Cottage Living (obviously), Romantic Garden, Get Together, Jungle Adventure, and the two plant kits (bc I am a shameless plant mom irl so all my sims have to be as well). My biggest regrets are Snowy Escape, Vampires, and Dream Home Decorator. While some of the BB stuff is great, the gameplay falls flat for me personally and I don't use them a lot. I am definitely going to get the Castle Kit but I would like to try out one or two of these packs: Horse Ranch: the nectar brewing system seems cool but also horses and goats would complete my farm dreams. But I had similar thoughts about Snowy Escape and I regret getting that pack. Life and Death: It's new so I know there's a lot of hype but beyond the hype, is it something that's worthwhile having in your game long term? Bust the Dust: I love the idea of dust bunnies and more chores for my sims but is it still buggy? I know when it came out it was massively bugged. Moschino Stuff: I've avoided it because I know it's focused on CAS but everyone on youtube raves about the photography aspect being great for family gameplay. Is this true or is it just youtuber nonsense? For Rent: I don't know if I'm super thrilled with the BB and I missed the hype when it came out but I did hear the rental system was bugged. As someone who does build a lot of townhouses and apartment buildings, I think this would be great but is the gameplay actually playable? And how is the world? Book Nook: I currently use cc for wall to wall, floor to ceiling bookshelves that are in a different style and love them but I'm concerned about the glitching. Do these slot together the way the shelving in Dream Home Decorator does? Because those get randomly deleted all the time so it's really annoying. Lovestruck: I know nothing about this pack but I've used the SimDa Dating mod before and disliked it so I don't think I'd like this pack but I am curious to hear about your opinions on it, specifically anything that surprised you. Crystal Creations: I'm not super into CAS and when I am in CAS I definitely don't utilize any of the jewelry but I like the idea of making jewelry and running a jewelry shop using GTW. BB also looks amazing. What I want to know more about is the crystal gameplay. Things I would love to hear your opinions on: Gameplay: tell me what you loved, what you hated, what you're mildly annoyed at, etc. Did anything get boring for you? Did something surprise you? Build/Buy: What items from the packs do you use the most? Which ones do you use the least? Do the items fit well with any other TS4 content? World: if the pack comes with the world, how satisfied are you with it? Is fun to explore? What kinds of things are there to interact with? What are your favorite lots to build on? Are there any special collectibles? Lot type: if there is a new lot type, what do you think about it? Do you use it in your normal gameplay or is it something you use rarely? Bugs: Are there any bugs in the pack that I should worry about? I know the team eventually fixes most of the bugs but until then, I'd prefer to put off purchasing something that's extremely buggy (like with Wedding Stories). Playstyle: tell me your playstyle and how the pack works with your playstyle. Do you find yourself using it a lot or not at all?192Views0likes13Commentsvacation rental update and real estate pack
There are 2 systems that I believe EA should expand to enhance gameplay: the vacation system and the ownable business system. Here is a list of suggested features. Vacation system Introduce hotel venue type. Instead of paying to rent a vacation home, sims can check into a hotel. The fee will be similar however, the experience will offer more dynamic gameplay. Sims will need to book a vacation, travel to the hotel, and " check - in." Room access will be controlled by key cards, which the sims need to have in their inventory to access their room. The hotel will spawn NPC guests and employees that played households can interact with. Hotels will offer a variety of services such as: housekeeping, room service, ice machines, and in - ground hot tubs. For areas like Selvadorada, where mostly locals will spawn, there will be a better experience as other types of NPCs will spawn in the area. Introduce vacation home venue type. Unlike vacation rentals, played households can buy a second home outright that they will own. It can't be lived in, since it's not a residential lot. However, anytime the household plans a vacation, they can now select their owned vacation home in addition to vacation rentals and hotels. Introduce a cruise ship interactive shell. The cruise ship will function like a hotel, only it will be a new waterfront venue type. The shell will be shaped like a cruise ship, so like an apartment, the exterior can't be customized, but the interior can be customized. The cruise ship will spawn NPC employees and guests like a hotel, offer services like a hotel, but also offer access to the ocean (like beaches) so sims can enjoy water sports. Sims will also experience motion sickness and other buffs related to traveling on the ocean. Ownable business system There are currently several packs that introduce new venue types that can be purchased and used to operate a business. They are pretty intensive and require full time management. Players are required to travel to the lot, open their business, and provide goods and/or services to satisfy customers. However, I believe the game should expand upon this by introducing a real estate system. Players can manage residential and commercial venues that are currently unowned and unoccupied, hold events to find perspective buyers, and then make a sell and earn a commission. Real estate system will feature a 10 - level career with 2 branches, new skills, new events, and a dynamic gameplay experience. Real estate career will focus on property management and client management. The starting levels of the career will focus on skill building: improving handiness so that repairs and upgrades can be made to properties, improving charisma to have more success with making sells and getting a bigger commission, and writing skills for creating brochures and advertisements for "open house" and "launch" events. The career will have 2 branches: real estate agent and business tycoon. The real estate agent branch will focus on managing residential properties. Tasks will include organizing "open house events" and getting perspective clients to purchase or rent residential properties. The player will need to make the property look presentable, make sells at open house events, and then handle various situations after the sell such as foreclosures, homeowner's insurance claims, and putting the property back on the market it the client isn't satisfied. The business tycoon branch will focus on managing commercial venues. Tasks will include making the properties presentable, hosting launch events to find perspective buyers, and then assisting the owner with advertisements, insurance claims, upgrades, and repairs to help the business flourish. Like residential venues, commercial venues can also go into foreclosure and the client might put it back on the market. Various commercial lots such as bars, cafe, nightclubs, etc. will now be venues can be sold and managed in the real estate career.70Views8likes7CommentsInfinite saving/loading screens
I originally started having this issue after the September update and saw other people were having the same issue and followed all the advice given. updated all mods removed all CC started a new save (with no CC) removed off-the-grid lot types switched back to DX9 Unfortunately, none of these worked so I decided to wait until the next patch and try again. After the October patch, I updated everything and it's still happening. Whether I'm loading/travelling with a family, exiting CAS, or saving when building on a community lot. I'm completely out of ideas of what I can do at this point; I have plenty of space on my PC and while loading can be slow sometimes, I know that's because I have quite a few packs and CC and I've never minded. But the infinite screens are getting too much, I can't play the game at all without running in to one and I end up losing any progress I've made. Really hoping someone can help or this bug can be lessened at least in the next update. 🤞766Views3likes12Comments
