Ideas For Improving The Gaming Experience for Sims 4
-Multiplayer mode It would be awesome to be able to play with other simmers. Maybe you can only play with mutuals, so people have to be following each other. -Open World & Cars So many people miss open worlds. I'd love for both to be brought back. -Tweens There could be a base game update to add a pre-teen (tween) life stage. Then create an expansion pack called Growing Pains or whatever name fits best. It can include middle school, puberty, awkward crushes, and etc. -Expansion, Game, & Stuff Packs Heroes & Villains Time Traveler Carnival of Curiosities Lucid Dreaming Mythical Creatures (centaurs, unicorns, dragons) Athletics & Arts (cheerleading, gymnastics, track & field, ballet, choir, band, orchestra) Zookeeper/Animal Adventure (safari, jungle, desert, marine)31Views1like2CommentsSim idles getting ridiculous
I’ve been dealing with this issue across several different saves whether I have mods installed or not. My sims will idle with actions in their queue and not do jack. I have to reset them anywhere from two to three times and then it happens again within a minute or two of playing. Happens with every sim in the household. Seems especially bad at public venues like bars. I’d say I’ve been dealing with this all year but it seems to be getting worse with each new patch that comes out. My computer specs are more than capable of handling this game. I do have every pack/expansion but I shouldn’t have to turn them off for the game to function properly, that’s dumb and defeats the point of buying new stuff from EA at all.10Views0likes0CommentsFor Rent Bug ps4
just downloaded For Rent recently. Made a really nice apartment with 6 units. Filled all vacancies and before I even did that I had a 4 star rating only thing I needed to work on was the maintenance (but I’m assuming it only said poor because it was brand new). Since I downloaded it, I’ve had two instances where I had to close the application without saving because of some bug. My tenant will report an issue and I’ll literally go fix the issue but the objective won’t clear on the screen and it keeps ruining my rating. Idk what to doFailed to launch game
My game hasn't been working for maybe about a week. I have tried the basic stuff, like redownloading the Sims game and the EA app. I've cleared the cache, put the sims 4 folder on my desktop. I took out the mods, saves and tray folders. Nothing works. So it has to be something i haven't tried/found yet. I did put an ssd in my pc for extra space and then maybe the locations got messed up? I also updated my game driver and checked the antivirus. I have to be honest, i'm not extremely tech-savy, so i could use some help. I put the dxdiag as well, so hopefully someone can help me out.We need a professional athlete pack!
For years I’ve been hoping The Sims 4 would explore a professional athlete expansion pack, and I think it could be one of the most dynamic packs yet. The new world could have two distinct areas. One is a downtown city district with an arena for basketball, hockey, and concerts, surrounded by restaurants, nightlife, and high-rise apartments. The other is a suburban district with stadiums for football, baseball, and soccer, plus gated communities, mansions, practice facilities, and parks. New careers could branch into athletes, coaches, managers, trainers, owners, and even behind-the-scenes roles like ticket or suite sales. Gameplay could include training schedules, big games, press conferences, rehab for injuries, endorsement deals, PR drama, and rivalries. It could also connect perfectly with the Get Famous pack through fame events, fan interactions, and media appearances. Imagine building a superstar athlete’s journey, balancing fame, wealth, family life, and the ups and downs of a high-profile career. The storytelling and drama potential would be endless. What do you all think?26Views1like0CommentsCross-Platform DLC Transfers for The Sims 4
Dear Reader, As a dedicated Sim player for over 18 years, I genuinely love and enjoy the game. While I've occasionally been frustrated by some updates (or the lack thereof), nothing has been more disheartening than the inability to transfer purchased packs across platforms. I currently play on PlayStation but have been considering switching to PC/Mac for greater convenience, especially when traveling. However, I was shocked to discover that the significant investment I've made in The Sims 4 content—over $1,400 across expansion packs, game packs, stuff packs, and kits—would not carry over to a new platform. This limitation is both frustrating and discouraging for loyal players like myself. What is the point of having an EA account if it doesn't provide the flexibility to access purchased content across platforms? The idea of repurchasing the same DLC content for another $1,400 is unreasonable and alienating to devoted fans. Allowing cross-platform pack transfers would offer more advantages than drawbacks: Player Loyalty and Customer Appreciation: The Sims franchise thrives on its passionate and loyal player base. Allowing cross-platform pack transfers would show that EA values and appreciates its most dedicated players. Increasing Player Engagement: Players are more likely to engage with the game on multiple platforms when their content carries over. This flexibility enhances the player experience, encouraging greater long-term involvement in the game. Consistency with Industry Trends: Cross-platform play and transferable purchases are becoming industry standards. Major gaming companies such as Epic Games, Microsoft, and Ubisoft have embraced this model, making it easier for players to access their content across different devices. EA should follow suit to remain competitive and player-focused. Convenience for Players on the Go: Gaming isn't confined to a single device anymore. Many players, myself included, would love to play The Sims 4 while traveling or on road trips by simply hotspotting a laptop to a phone. Without cross-platform content, this becomes nearly impossible for console players. Protection Against Piracy: The current system inadvertently encourages players to seek unauthorized ways to access their paid content on other platforms. Offering a legitimate solution for transferring packs would reduce the incentive for piracy. Increased DLC Sales: Players who have the flexibility to use their packs across platforms are more likely to continue purchasing new content rather than feeling alienated by platform restrictions. Improved Customer Satisfaction: Happy customers are more likely to recommend the game and remain loyal to the franchise. Allowing pack transfers would address a significant pain point for many players, fostering a more positive relationship with the EA brand. I understand that some might argue I should simply remain on PlayStation, but it's not always practical. Being able to hotspot my laptop during travel and play like so many other players would be a game-changer for me. I appreciate the hard work the team puts into developing new content, and I'm more than willing to continue supporting The Sims series financially. However, I cannot justify paying twice for the same content. Loyal fans deserve a better solution. I sincerely hope EA will consider addressing this issue and providing a solution that benefits the entire player base. Thank you for your time and for listening to this long-time player's concerns. ~ Haley216Views6likes38CommentsAlien occult and strangeville revisited

Its been about three weeks now and my infant will age up to toddler only to immediately age up to a child. I play super vanilla, only using the packs for content; no crazy downloads or mods. I've looked online to see if anyone else has been having this issue and it does not seem to be a lot which makes me worried. I've been trying to do the Sims 100 Baby Challenge and I'm at a complete stand still because my kids keep 'double aging' as I've been calling it. I just watched the official trailer for the new expansion pack, Adventure Awaits. For anyone who hasn't seen it yet: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aS0NxrRJm6I My thoughts: I am surprisingly interested in this pack despite not having what I expected and wanted. From the theme I expected hotels, create a world, theme park stuff, maybe a safari or zoo, etc. Where is the adventure part? It's called Adventure Awaits, I expected an Indiana Jones level of Adventure. Despite being interested, I will not buy it until the bug fixes for the game, and especially the save file corruption and For Rent bugs are fixed. I'm not buying anything that will add more lots and files to my game when more lots and items trigger the save file corruption bug. The trailer showed really varied content, but it doesn't seem to have a cohesive theme. They tried, but it's a lot of stuff that should have been in previous packs. I like the new items, the children's playground equipment and slides. But that should have been part of the Parenthood pack, or Growing together pack. The imaginary friend should have been in Parenthood. The camp stuff and the careers should be part of Outdoor Retreat. The water slides and diving boards for pools are cool, but should have been part of Seasons, or Get Together. The exercise bikes are finally here, but they should have been a part of City Living, Get famous, Growing Together, or Businesses and Hobbies. Or even base game. The functional weights should have been a part of Lovestruck. The competition dating component should have been a part of Love Struck. Kayaking should have been part of Outdoor Retreat or Island Living. Diving off of docks should have been part of Island Living. These items should all have been added as in-game pack refreshes. I do think that there is finally a good amount of new content and new gameplay features in a pack for once. The amount of new content finally seems worth it. But what IS this pack? The leftover ideas pack? This reminds me of the My First Pet Stuff pack that was just stuff that should have been included in Cats and Dogs. It seems really cash-grabby and poor planning. These all belong in previous packs. I do want the playgrounds, slides, and exercise bikes. The competition dating scenario thing is intriguing. But this is the sort of thing I'll wait to buy in a few years, after all the bugs are fixed and it's 75% off. I'm not sure I want to be investing more money in a game that is so unstable with so many bugs. Will I even be able to play it if I keep buying packs?112Views2likes8Comments
