Lost progress after saving game
Hello, yesterday I played The Sims with the Business and Hobbies DLC for the first time. I spent around three hours building my business. At the end, I made sure to save my game. However, today when I tried to continue, the game spawned me in front of my house — but without my business, apartment, or husband. Everything I had built yesterday is gone, and I really want to continue playing that character. I paid €30 for the DLC, and it’s very frustrating that my progress disappeared despite saving. I’m sure I saved the game before closing it. Please help — I’d really like to recover my progress. What Packs Do You Recommend For Me?
General discussion gets very often, if not daily, some threads where simmers ask for help about what pack they should buy 😊 Specific packs or from all the packs . What is of course a great thing to ask, however, would be nice if all those asks were all at same place.😉 This thread is for this purpose, tell us your playstyle or any detail you wish, to make it easier to give you suggestions 😊 Also here something to help you with the decision : https://simscommunity.info/2024/02/26/sims-4-pack-guide/257Views7likes20CommentsDoes EA App & Steam have to be linked or not?
I have tried in the last 4 months to get my Sims 4 base game to reinstall in the EA App where all My packs are stored, But after 4 months of bout 20 Tech Chat's ect I have not gotten that to happen, I just got the Sims 4 base game installed to Steam, but I want to be able to use My over 100 packs that is in the EA App as well, so does EA APP and Steam have to be linked in order to do that?? , I am seeing some player's say no & some say yes but It is confusing me, please let me know which it is, thanks.!!!time frozen sims stuck cant save cant exit unless I force quit
Started happening after updating the game, boards from my shop disappeared and unable to place them back with "script call failed" pop up. Cant drag and drop anything, build mode randomly copies what I put duplicating everything. Random times in the game it would just freeze time and the sims I can't even reset my sim or even save it before I quit so I lose all actions ive made prior having to save every single time in case it happens again and since yesterday only 3 minutes into the game it starts to lag and freeze making it unplayable which is frustrating AF! Totally regret doing the update but had no choice since it was automatic and couldn't play without update now I cant play at all!!!! You guys should do a test run first before uploading update patches that crap doesnt work and now I hate y'all even more. Fix it and stop putting stuff weren't double checked if working. I LOVE guitars in the Sims 4, (go figure, I'm a guitarist IRL), but I often need more neat/tidy wall décor for empty rooms. These would be perfect for the following reasons: They would be a consistent place for the sims to keep them, rather than randomly placing them and/or keeping them in their inventory - preventing them from getting lost. They would add some much needed class and décor to any musical sim's room/studio. They could be made lockable so that sims can either keep them exclusively as a wall display or as a functioning mode of storage. There could be in-pack guitar sets/collections with unique and specially designed hangers. They could be made in single- or multiple-piece versions.8Views1like0CommentsStrangerville: Shadows in the Dust | A Manicpot8to LP
Something's off in strangerville, but no one's saying it out loud. The air buzzes with secrets, the neighbors act strange, and the military presence is just a little too strong for a sleepy desert town. This story follows three threads converging: A secretive base with an agenda no one's willing to explain. Gloria, a newcomer with nothing left to lose and a knack for noticing what others ignore. And Bo, a loner who came to find the truth while hiding a secret of her own. Each character is drawn here for different reasons. Some came seeking answers. Others? Planned only to pass through. But no matter the reason, they all stay... because something won't let them leave. All this unfolds across my custom Strangerville builds, and each update will reveal more of the mystery. Feel free to follow along, and I look forward to reading everyone's thoughts and theories! Next up: Meet the residents. Not all of them are what they seem. I wanted to make a more in detail post (TLDR at the end for anyone who doesn't want to read my yap session!) on this forum because I feel like it needs to be talked about as more than a frustrated vent, but the sims 4 team needs to slow down on new content and focus on fixing their game. I understand the devs work really hard and no game is 100% bug free but this is genuinely starting to feel excessive and it's making the game really difficult to play. I've been playing the sims 4 since 2018 (which i know isn't the longer but I'm a younger simmer lol) and in all the time I've been playing this game, I don't think I've ever had this many bugs. I'd have maybe one bug for a couple of days but even then it'd be some minor thing that didn't effect my enjoyment of the game. However, recently, I've found myself using EA's gameplay support forum excessively. I'm come here almost every time I open my game because I'm always having some sort of issue with my game. My farmer and rancher sims crops disappear/turn invisible the second fall hits (and NO i don't mean an out of season crop dying, I mean my fully grown, in season fall and winter plants being invisible for the entire duration of the seasons) and while sure I can still use the gameplay mechanic, after a while (and many weeks) it's very visually frustrating to look at a large field of invisible plants that are still very much in season. Mind you visual issues like this have been bugged dating back to 4 years ago (though my specific issue seemingly only dates back to 5 months ago which is still a long time but a lot shorter of a time frame than four years ago) My sims can not getting married at wedding arches because it says that both engaged sims must be around (even if both of them are right in front of the arch), so I'm forced to do the manual engagement through the romance category which defeats the whole purpose of having wedding arches. With this issue also comes not being able to renew wedding vows because said archers are broken, This issue also seemingly dates back to a minimum of 5 months ago. Another issue I, and a lot of other simmers have, is disappearing terrain paint, and this issue has been happening for YEARS. The only way for me to somewhat circumnavigate is to build whatever im building first, save, leave to manage worlds, go back to the lot, do the paint, save again, leave again, and then load back in. That is absurd, again this has been happening for YEARS. Ever since EA introduced ads into the sims 4 (The opening screen ads and the splash ads) many people have found themselves not able to close or dismiss the ads, again another bug that has been around for a hot minute, that makes the game unplayable, that hasn't been fixed. Or what about the eyelid glitch that makes sims not able to close their eyes all the way? Again, I understand no game will be 100% bug free, but so many of the bugs have been around for months, sometimes even years, and they still aren't fixed, and it's truly ridiculous to see. It's incredibly frustrating to see SO many longstanding bugs be put under the tag "under investigation" when it honestly feel like nothing is being investigated. Or, at the very least, communicate with your community more. Even a vague "Hey guys, we hear your issues with the bugs and we're trying to fix them!" is more reassuring than radio silence or a moderator linking us to another forum for 8 months ago with a person having the same issue as you. If your game is so buggy it's putting people off and stopping you from attracting more people to it, maybe it's time to take a break from being a cash hungry corporation. Please, STOP PUTTING OUT NEW CONTENT AND FIX YOUR GAME. or at the very least shift your focus onto to fixing common bugs that make your game nearly unplayable. I love the sims, it is truly one of my favorite games of all time, but it's disappointing and frustrating to see 6 new expansion packs, 3 new game packs, 2 new stuff packs, and 12 new kits come out in one year while me and hundreds of other simmers have been begging you to fix a bug that first showed up in your game 2 years ago. So, EA, sims dev team, PLEASE FIX YOUR GAMES. TLDR: This game has so many bugs its nearly unplayable (or at the very least VERY frustrating to play) but ea keeps putting out new content instead of fixing month(s)/year(s) old issues and it's getting irritating.367Views23likes19Comments
