criminals, bookies, and fences
I'd like to see a proper criminal pack. A pack that introduces a refresh to the criminal and detective careers, organized crime syndicates, and an underworld society. Here are my suggestions: New criminal career branches: forger and cat burglar: A forger would specialize in making forgeries of famous art pieces such as paintings (base game), pottery (hobbies and businesses), and jewelry (crystal creations). A cat burglar would specialize in breaking and entering various community and residential venues and stealing goods. Add a new world from which the criminal underworld would operate from. This world would consist of bars where criminals could look for associates to assist them with their criminal activities, an interactive shell where thieves can "fence" their stolen goods, a racetrack for watching and betting on horse races, a "bookie" for illegal betting and race "fixing," and the headquarters for the crime syndicates to run their racketeering schemes from. Add a new heist event. The heist event is a special event that criminals in the cat burglar branch can trigger. It would function similarly to the burglary event from for rent. A criminal can "case" a venue that they want to break and enter. Then they get a career task to plan a heist. They will need to gather associates, intel, and/or gadgets for conducting the heist. Then they actually perform the heist at a specified venue. During the heist event, the criminals must disable security, steal the desired items, and leave the premises before the police arrive. Add a criminal syndicate. The crime syndicate would function similarly to the secret society from discover university. It is an organization for criminals to run various racketeering schemes, such as tricking sims into signing up for "pyramids" scams, selling fake insurance, extorting "protection money" from local businesses, etc. Sims don't have to be in the criminal career to join, but sims with the evil and mean traits are more likely to be accepted into the crime syndicate. Sims would first have to learn about the crime syndicate by visiting the seedy bar in the underworld, performing some initiation tasks, and then becoming a member of the syndicate. Refresh/expansion of GTW detective career. With a properly functioning criminal underworld, detectives need to be more alert. The detective career would have 2 new career branches: beat cop and undercover detective. The beat cop would specialize in making contacts inside the underworld community to solve crimes and thwart criminal activity. They can "turn" criminals they've arrested into informants and perform stakeouts to catch criminals in the act. Undercover detectives would specialize in inserting themselves into the crime syndicate in order to get an understanding of their structure and dealings, thus allowing them to take down the entire organization. Functional prisons. When sims are a part of the crime syndicate or criminal career, they run the risk of getting arrested for their activities. If they are arrested, they are taken to the police station and must spend the night in jail. They can be released the next morning by paying "bail" and they will receive a criminal record. The more charges on the criminal record, the higher the bail amount. During the arrest, sims can attempt to "bribe" the arresting officer. NPC detectives with the materialistic or nosy trait are more likely to accept a bribe. While in prison, any illegally obtained money and goods will be removed from the sims inventory. Functional racetrack and jockey career (horse ranch). The racetrack will be a new community venue where sims can watch and bet on horse races. Bookie sims can also be found at these venues and take illegal bets for race fixing. There will be a new equestrian career; jockey. Jockey sims can enter races at the racetrack and earn prize money from winning races. The higher their horse - riding skill, the better their performance. Jockey sims can also use the local bookie to fix races. If jockey sims are caught fixing races, they will be banned from entering races for a specified period of time. Is it just me who really needs more lore about Forgotten Hollow? After seeing the level of lore the team create on packs like Werewolves and Enchanted by Nature i'm feeling very sad that Vampires didn't get much with its pack. There's so many doubts we need answer about Forgotten Hollow and its characters (in-game or not): Did Vampires created Forgotten Hollow or did it existed before them? Who's Forgotten Lady? She's really a queen? Of vampires or other thing? Who really is Vasmer Balke despite of the writer of the Vampiric Encyclopedia? How does he looks? Was he a vampire, a normal human or a hunter? And who's Von Flavius? How does he looks? Where's his imporium? Where's Vladislaus' Hardware (coffin shop)? How do the gallery Vampires work? Where they come from? Whats their background? Are they supposed to work as families or clubs? The Nobles are just rich or do they rule anything? Does they relate to Vladislaus? How? And what about the trailer humans and vampires that didn't got into the game? Where d they fit in the world/story?How can I get rid of Sims4 add ons?
I'm trying to free up space on my laptop (HP), and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to uninstall add-ons for The Sims. Before anything, I have searched online, and everything indicates that there should be a 'packs' folder in my file explorer, but it is not there. I have gone through both the EA Games and Electronic Arts folders. I have also gone through the EA app, and I know how to find the manage add-ons section, but it just shows the add-ons I have rather than being able to manage them. I just want to free up space and remove packs that I don't use. If anyone knows what to do, please help!stop giving us new content and PLEASE fix your game.
I wanted to make a more in detail post (TLDR at the end for anyone who doesn't want to read my yap session!) on this forum because I feel like it needs to be talked about as more than a frustrated vent, but the sims 4 team needs to slow down on new content and focus on fixing their game. I understand the devs work really hard and no game is 100% bug free but this is genuinely starting to feel excessive and it's making the game really difficult to play. I've been playing the sims 4 since 2018 (which i know isn't the longer but I'm a younger simmer lol) and in all the time I've been playing this game, I don't think I've ever had this many bugs. I'd have maybe one bug for a couple of days but even then it'd be some minor thing that didn't effect my enjoyment of the game. However, recently, I've found myself using EA's gameplay support forum excessively. I'm come here almost every time I open my game because I'm always having some sort of issue with my game. My farmer and rancher sims crops disappear/turn invisible the second fall hits (and NO i don't mean an out of season crop dying, I mean my fully grown, in season fall and winter plants being invisible for the entire duration of the seasons) and while sure I can still use the gameplay mechanic, after a while (and many weeks) it's very visually frustrating to look at a large field of invisible plants that are still very much in season. Mind you visual issues like this have been bugged dating back to 4 years ago (though my specific issue seemingly only dates back to 5 months ago which is still a long time but a lot shorter of a time frame than four years ago) My sims can not getting married at wedding arches because it says that both engaged sims must be around (even if both of them are right in front of the arch), so I'm forced to do the manual engagement through the romance category which defeats the whole purpose of having wedding arches. With this issue also comes not being able to renew wedding vows because said archers are broken, This issue also seemingly dates back to a minimum of 5 months ago. Another issue I, and a lot of other simmers have, is disappearing terrain paint, and this issue has been happening for YEARS. The only way for me to somewhat circumnavigate is to build whatever im building first, save, leave to manage worlds, go back to the lot, do the paint, save again, leave again, and then load back in. That is absurd, again this has been happening for YEARS. Ever since EA introduced ads into the sims 4 (The opening screen ads and the splash ads) many people have found themselves not able to close or dismiss the ads, again another bug that has been around for a hot minute, that makes the game unplayable, that hasn't been fixed. Or what about the eyelid glitch that makes sims not able to close their eyes all the way? Again, I understand no game will be 100% bug free, but so many of the bugs have been around for months, sometimes even years, and they still aren't fixed, and it's truly ridiculous to see. It's incredibly frustrating to see SO many longstanding bugs be put under the tag "under investigation" when it honestly feel like nothing is being investigated. Or, at the very least, communicate with your community more. Even a vague "Hey guys, we hear your issues with the bugs and we're trying to fix them!" is more reassuring than radio silence or a moderator linking us to another forum for 8 months ago with a person having the same issue as you. If your game is so buggy it's putting people off and stopping you from attracting more people to it, maybe it's time to take a break from being a cash hungry corporation. Please, STOP PUTTING OUT NEW CONTENT AND FIX YOUR GAME. or at the very least shift your focus onto to fixing common bugs that make your game nearly unplayable. I love the sims, it is truly one of my favorite games of all time, but it's disappointing and frustrating to see 6 new expansion packs, 3 new game packs, 2 new stuff packs, and 12 new kits come out in one year while me and hundreds of other simmers have been begging you to fix a bug that first showed up in your game 2 years ago. So, EA, sims dev team, PLEASE FIX YOUR GAMES. Something's off in strangerville, but no one's saying it out loud. There are many expansion packs/game packs/stuff packs where we have control over our gameplay. I can turn off the dust building from bust the dust, I can make the weather less severe from seasons, I can turn off acne from high school years, there are so many things that we can turn off to control our gameplay. Why the heck can we not turn off vampires? I got the pack recently during the summer sale because I thought I would enjoy using some of the build items. I’m very disappointed to find out that I cannot control vampires in my gameplay. I don’t want them on. I don’t want my Sims being turned into vampires…I didn’t want the pack for that content. I wanted the pack for the build items, and, based off of every other pack, I thought I’d be able to turn the vampires off. Now I’m learning that I can do a few things in gameplay to try to deter the vampires, but I cannot turn off the vampires anywhere in the settings... I also read that I would have to disable the pack in my EA account so that they would be n more vampire game play effects… but that means I don’t get access to any of the build items that I’ve paid for from this pack. I think this is ridiculous. I think it’s a waste of money, and I think EA should’ve been clear about that in the advertising of the pack and the product description of the pack. I think there should be a note that says “please note that you cannot turn off vampires in gameplay, so only by this pack if you’re OK with having vampires turned on all the time”. I’m so disappointed, a vampire broke into my sim’s house and there was nothing I could do to even fight him off or avoid it happening. She wouldn’t even wake up in time to run away or anything due to game lagging. It’s so stupid!!!!! Arg!!!!! Note: I did add the private dwelling lot setting, the no trespassing for the front door (idk how this will affect my business on the lot from businesses and hobbies pack because don’t customers need the business door set to front door..?), and I plan to carry garlic and plant some garlic on the lot. It’s just dumb that vampires are running around in the game and potentially biting other families…I don’t want my son’s boyfriend to move in yet but what if he gets turned into a vampire? And what else can I do? Delete all the vampire households and hope they never respawn?? I have the werewolf pack and luckily due to the gameplay settings I’ve never had to interact with them! My Sims often have bakeries and I’ve enjoyed having shops where they sell things or selling things off to a local bakery. Often times my Sims Max out in the culinary career and their foods don’t expire and I take great pride in making as many foods as possible for my Sims to sell. I really like the convenience of the prepped ingredients in the mixer reducing cooking time and I think it’s cool that the Sims make double the food. However, in my experience in the game, I cannot sell this food. I cannot sell it to a bakery or sell it in my store or even sell it from my inventory and so this food feels like a waste because I have to just put it in my Sims fridge or keep it in her inventory and she eats it or I gift it to other Sims, however what’s the point of having duplicate made products if you can’t sell the duplicate or even sell it from your inventory?30Views0likes3Comments[CD] Pets don't eat from full bowls (Patch 1.69)
I fill my pets bowls and have a sim call the pets, the pets go to the bowl but do not eat from it. I have tried using different pet bowls and having them in different places but they still won't eat.
