Forever Free Packs for Everyone
The Sims 4 is a 10-year-old game with over 100 DLC packs (106), and EA will likely keep releasing more for years. Competing life-sim games like Inzoi and Paralives offers much of this content in their base game. For example, Inzoi can provide content equivalent to 30–40 Sims 4 packs in its basegame for the price of just one expansion pack(40$) and we already have 20 of them. To stay competitive and keep players engaged, EA should make some older packs permanently free—such as Seasons, Cats & Dogs and Get to Work. Giving 2–4 free packs from each pack category would greatly benefit new players so they can complete other packs without pirating. For players who already own these packs, EA could offer new Kits free for a month (like they did with Desert Luxe Kit when The Sims 4 became free). I think forever free packs should be; 2 expansion packs -> seasons, cats and dogs (out of 20 eps) 2 game packs -> dine out, get to work (out of 12 gps) 4 stuff packs -> cool kitchen, bowling night, backyard, spooky (out of 20 sps) 4 kits -> throwback fit, industrial loft, blooming rooms, carnaval streetwear (out of 40 kits of excluding 11 creator kits and 2 spongebob kits, total 53)18KViews36likes48CommentsExpansion packs cheaper
I do not think expansion packs should be free but i think they should be more affordable. 40 dollars for 1 expansion pack is CRAZY. As a teen i cant imagine how people have all of them. There are a lot of sales but its still kinda pricey. I also feel like there arent any updates for base game. Only little things but nothing big. And the furniture and cas packs are also crazy. Like who in their right mind is paying 5 dollars for 5 cas items?9Views1like0CommentsGenerations - deaths
I'm not sure if this is a super issue for many but I'm working through a generations save currently. I've also made a graveyard for all the immediate and extended family members, mostly to keep their spirit in the game and make sure they don't fade away. I just WISH there was a way to find the NPC sims urns that die off their lots. I'm just never been able to find the urns to add them. Most recently my sim had a child with someone they weren't married to and I had him stay as a townie. He now died and the kid can't contact him or find his urn to keep the relationship alive. It would be helpful to just guarantee that the urn or grave shows up at their last known address, at the very least.24Views2likes2CommentsSims/Pets age up multiple times in a row
Its been about three weeks now and my infant will age up to toddler only to immediately age up to a child. I play super vanilla, only using the packs for content; no crazy downloads or mods. I've looked online to see if anyone else has been having this issue and it does not seem to be a lot which makes me worried. I've been trying to do the Sims 100 Baby Challenge and I'm at a complete stand still because my kids keep 'double aging' as I've been calling it. I think personally we should have a game pack for adult players. Where there are more dramatised themes such as dark romance modifications for those books. We could have it where we have to give identification such as a photo of driving license for the purchase. Personally I would find this a lot more fun for those who are older and would like more mature themes.23Views0likes0CommentsAny plan for utilizing older potential resources?
I've joined The Sims 4 recently. I've bought more than 20 packs, and I see there is too much potential for the game to improve if EA wants to attract more people (instead of taking addicts' blood). Island Living: Overhaul mermaids. I think EA actually knows that there are too many complaints about this pack, almost all related to the shallowness of mermaids. You just need to add an ability tree like you did for fairies, spellcasters, werewolves, or vampires. Discover University: Honestly, after buying this pack, I regretted it too much. Although the name is Discover University, there is nothing we can discover :)). We need classes to study and discuss. It could be simple like High School, and I hope we can attend sports competitions as well. Horse Ranch: It would be greater if the horse competition were not just a rabbit hole. As an occult player, I recommend having more battle interactions between occults such as spellcasters vs. vampires, spellcasters vs. wolves, and possibly fairies vs. spellcasters, fairies vs. vampires, and fairies vs. wolves. By the way, I appreciate the development team's efforts these days to fix so many bugs. That's why I made this post to suggest improvements for the team. I think what I listed here are things the team has already done with newer packs, so I may not have any problems with old engine limitations. Anyway, the game still has too much potential to grow and attract new players.29Views1like0CommentsCross-Platform DLC Transfers for The Sims 4
Dear Reader, As a dedicated Sim player for over 18 years, I genuinely love and enjoy the game. While I've occasionally been frustrated by some updates (or the lack thereof), nothing has been more disheartening than the inability to transfer purchased packs across platforms. I currently play on PlayStation but have been considering switching to PC/Mac for greater convenience, especially when traveling. However, I was shocked to discover that the significant investment I've made in The Sims 4 content—over $1,400 across expansion packs, game packs, stuff packs, and kits—would not carry over to a new platform. This limitation is both frustrating and discouraging for loyal players like myself. What is the point of having an EA account if it doesn't provide the flexibility to access purchased content across platforms? The idea of repurchasing the same DLC content for another $1,400 is unreasonable and alienating to devoted fans. Allowing cross-platform pack transfers would offer more advantages than drawbacks: Player Loyalty and Customer Appreciation: The Sims franchise thrives on its passionate and loyal player base. Allowing cross-platform pack transfers would show that EA values and appreciates its most dedicated players. Increasing Player Engagement: Players are more likely to engage with the game on multiple platforms when their content carries over. This flexibility enhances the player experience, encouraging greater long-term involvement in the game. Consistency with Industry Trends: Cross-platform play and transferable purchases are becoming industry standards. Major gaming companies such as Epic Games, Microsoft, and Ubisoft have embraced this model, making it easier for players to access their content across different devices. EA should follow suit to remain competitive and player-focused. Convenience for Players on the Go: Gaming isn't confined to a single device anymore. Many players, myself included, would love to play The Sims 4 while traveling or on road trips by simply hotspotting a laptop to a phone. Without cross-platform content, this becomes nearly impossible for console players. Protection Against Piracy: The current system inadvertently encourages players to seek unauthorized ways to access their paid content on other platforms. Offering a legitimate solution for transferring packs would reduce the incentive for piracy. Increased DLC Sales: Players who have the flexibility to use their packs across platforms are more likely to continue purchasing new content rather than feeling alienated by platform restrictions. Improved Customer Satisfaction: Happy customers are more likely to recommend the game and remain loyal to the franchise. Allowing pack transfers would address a significant pain point for many players, fostering a more positive relationship with the EA brand. I understand that some might argue I should simply remain on PlayStation, but it's not always practical. Being able to hotspot my laptop during travel and play like so many other players would be a game-changer for me. I appreciate the hard work the team puts into developing new content, and I'm more than willing to continue supporting The Sims series financially. However, I cannot justify paying twice for the same content. Loyal fans deserve a better solution. I sincerely hope EA will consider addressing this issue and providing a solution that benefits the entire player base. Thank you for your time and for listening to this long-time player's concerns. ~ Haley458Views8likes48CommentsIdea for new pack
It would be nice to go to the grocery store and buy food. Be able to check out at the cashier Or work at the grocery store as a cashier. One of my favourite packs is Get to work. Its so fun going to work with your sim. Please sim gods make more content that I can go to work with my sim instead of a dark hole.15Views1like0Comments
