Fantasy/Sci-Fi/etc. Themed Packs
With EbN most of the supernatural Life States are in Sims 4. I would of course like more but a general satisfaction that if you have RoM/V/W/EbN you finally almost have the equivalent to Sims 3 Supernatural. Sims 3 Supernatural (my first Sims 3 pack) is what got me hooked on buying all Sims 3 packs and almost the entire Sims 3 store—so that is why I mention it. But because I am a fantasy/sci-fi based player, non-fantasy/sci-fi packs and packs that do not compliment fantasy/sci-fi type themes don't interest me much—so that means there are more packs I rather skip/not buy than buy (but I am also aware many players feel the opposite too). At least that is what I found in Sims 4, it is easier to skip packs in Sims 4 than Sims 3. Also funny enough, I had no interest in the Journey to Batuu (I mean I probably would like the CAS and Build by the rest of the pack I have zero interest), just the Star Wars universe doesn't really have a place in my Sim worlds (but I might buy it (on sale), if they add a Dystopian EP/GP). With this, new packs are really going to have to impress me to buy, otherwise I need hard convincing just to buy packs when they are on sale. So here are some idea for packs that might interest fantasy/sci-fi/themed game style players and may or may not interest non-fantasy/non-sci-fi/non-themed game style players. Steampunk, bring back inventing that is more tinkerer/eccentric based that can work for past, modern and (dystopian) future themed players. I loved using both Ambitions/WA and the steampunk store packs (including Midnight Hollow) to create a sort of industrial steampunk themed game. This could probably be a GP but you'd wow me if you did a EP. Medieval, also a fan of Dragon Valley and baby dragons. I think many players would love to be technology free (no cell phones/computers/TVs/etc.) especially for a non-ECO off the grid challenge. I'd suggest an EP, make it so you can play past/modern tech (or lack of tech). Underground and/or Underwater Biodome, my fav Sims 2 lot was a the Biodome, I still want to see that again revised. But for a fallout or future playstyle this would be so cool. Or even ocean exploration themed. Space Station/Spaceship, or some Future World. I loved Into the Future and Oasis landing! I miss nanites and the regular or dystopian versions of the future world. Whimsical, I loved the Looking Glass/Wonderland store items, I sort of used Midnight Hollow and utopian future to play an Alice in Wonderland theme game. I'd love a tea party table (I loved the store tea set table). This could be a GP or very least a SP (similar to how Paranormal works) but please not a Kit (it wouldn't be enough to work with). The idea of oversized items, from being shrunk (misses oversized flowers). How to make this work for non-fantasy themed players, theme park lots/capability for themed lots, to keep fantasy Sims in certain worlds/lots similar to werewolves staying in their world. Adventure Worlds, aka Al Simhara, Shang Simla and Champs Les Sims, JA is nice but I really loved these worlds too. 8 ideas for dlc and packs
🏉Active games and competitions where Sims can cheer for teams and kids can practice after school: football, baseball, hockey, etc., and games for sorcerers similar to Quidditch. 🎪An expansion pack that includes theaters, opera houses, art galleries, circus, and other cultural venues. 🐉A fantasy DLC where teens and kids play various fantasy games like D&D, opening up a new world for recreation—an imaginary place with castles and like, where there can be both friendly creatures like gnomes and hostile ones like dragons. 🚀 In The Sims, you can build a rocket model, so why not add a vacation world like Batuu, but an exoplanet like in Avatar, with an astronaut career and the ability to craft items from resources on different planets. ✨A 50s-60s retro pack: groovy wallpapers, disco and tap dance events, clothing and hairstyles from that era, vintage appliances, furniture, and so on. 🌟A superhero DLC, with costumes, villains, superpowers, etc., plus a Chicago-style city with skyscrapers and the ability to craft costumes. Sims can gain abilities randomly (by drinking something or triggering a rare event), or naturally. Not a DLC, but an expansion where events affect children’s mental state (fears appear, or conversely, confidence), as it was in The Sims 2. 🎡 Festivals (both city and farm festivals, where you can buy and sell produce), attractions (haunted house, roller coaster, prize machines where you can win a prize for your significant other).
None of my sims4 packs showing up?
I have experienced this issue for ages now and its quite frustrating and I'm feeling really lost. I have uninstalled TS4 and all packs, repaired the game multiple times, selected packs and re-downloaded and tried everything I can but it will 'download' my packs but not show them up in game at all? I dont have any previous safe files to download from, they were deleted. Please help!
General DLC rant
After the ailments release I am starting to get sick of DLC introducing cool new things only to make it goofy and cartoonish, half-assed or just annoying: Burning Passion ailment setting things on fire. Why? I was wondering why there are suddenly randomly burnt furniture in my house only to find out my sim with the Burning Passion ailment is igniting it by simply existing near them. I get that it is supposed to be a fairy ailment but this could have been a cool expansion to the already existing disease system and fairies being exceptionally good at curing/causing them. The contagiousness could also have been a cool way to expand the already existing disease system. Having fairy apothecaries you can go to if you get an ailment, or if you happen to befriend one you can maybe get free treatment. The dust system would be such a cool addition, but the dust bunnies...why? Needing to periodically vacuum is great, but after Sims are done the vacuum goes into their inventory. What would be cool is a dedicated spot where the vacuum sits so the entire household can use it without having to move it off of the inventory from the last sim that used it. It could also be a nice chore for children/teens to do. I can not remember the name of this but the Eco System thing where "stuff is shared" and sims would walk into my house and take my stuff. I had to turn off NPC voting to prevent it from ever becoming active. Once again this could have been a cool way to introduce new mechanics to the neighborhoods but instead it is "burglary is now allowed". I am forced to either turn off the feature or forced to vote but what if I do not want to vote? If I have to turn off a feature in your DLC because it interferes with my gameplay or is straight up annoying, you messed up. The constant reminders in the middle of the night about "look for a job", even if my sim already has a job, this one actually needs a mod to fix as it can not be turned off. If I need third party tools/content to fix something in your game that interferes with my gameplay or is annoying, you messed up. In general, it would be nice if the "stuff" like clothing and furniture from an expansion pack could be "decoupled" from the expansion itself, like if I do not want vampires in my game but I want the stuff in it. Same applies to Enchanted by Nature if I do not want fairies or ailments in my game but I want the stuff from it. Those are what I can come up with at the top of my head.
Adventure awaits not showing
Hi, I bought the two latest expansion packs Adventure awaits and Royalty and Legacy - well, the last one works - the first one, doesn't. It shows on the main page as owned, but when I click on the map it doesn't. I repaired the game, uninstalled the pack and reinstalled it, deleted the folder it created. I did everything and it still doesn't show. But I did that, download, installed , it's there , so what can I do right now?
