What Packs Do You Recommend For Me?
General discussion gets very often, if not daily, some threads where simmers ask for help about what pack they should buy 😊 Specific packs or from all the packs . What is of course a great thing to ask, however, would be nice if all those asks were all at same place.😉 This thread is for this purpose, tell us your playstyle or any detail you wish, to make it easier to give you suggestions 😊 Also here something to help you with the decision : https://simscommunity.info/2024/02/26/sims-4-pack-guide/2.5KViews11likes77CommentsUpgrade Base Worlds & Starting Funds Based on DLC Collections
I think Willow Creek and Oasis Springs could gradually improve depending on how much additional Sims 4 content a player owns. Not everything has to change, and the worlds should remain recognizable. But some houses and community lots could receive upgrades as a player’s collection grows, whether I personally use those lots or not. For example, Movers & Shakers could remain the same gym but gradually improve its equipment, decor, landscaping, and other features. Starter houses could become nicer and better furnished. Other houses and community lots could receive similar, smaller upgrades. Yes, Simmers can already replace these lots with whatever they want. Builders can make their own, and other players can use the Gallery. That shouldn’t change. But not everyone enjoys building, and not everyone wants to replace EA lots with other Simmers’ creations constantly. For those players, these upgrades would make the original worlds feel like they have grown alongside the rest of The Sims 4. Starting funds could also increase as more content is owned, so upgraded starter houses remain affordable. For example: 0-5 add-ons: Standard - §20,000 Above Average - §40,000 High - §60,000 6-15 add-ons: Standard - §25,000 Above Average - §45,000 High - §70,000 16-30 add-ons: Standard - §30,000 Above Average - §55,000 High - §90,000 31-45 add-ons: Standard - §40,000 Above Average - §70,000 High - §120,000 46+ add-ons: Standard - §50,000 Above Average - §80,000 High - §150,000 Career wages could receive much smaller increases so that the game doesn’t suddenly become too easy. The exact numbers aren’t really the important part. The point is that someone with 50+ add-ons is playing a much larger version of The Sims 4 than someone with only the base game and a few packs. It would be nice to return to Willow Creek after building up a large collection and think, “Wait, this is the old gym? This place looks a lot better now.” And if you don’t like an upgraded lot? You can still replace it just like you can now.57Views0likes4CommentsNew computer - game loads but items are missing
I got a new computer this week, copied everything from the previous computer. The game opens fine. As far as I can tell, all the packs I own are listed as installed. But when I click on one of my lots, I get this error (see screenshot), which tells me that certain items were removed and others were replaced because either they are not installed on my computer, or the account that is signed in (mine, same account I always use) does not own them. This has occurred 3 separate households (so far). no CC or mods. Mac OS 26.6.2, brand new MacBook Pro M5.💡 Ideas > 🎂 12 years ! And now ?

Hi, I’m having an issue with missing content in The Sims 4 on PC through the EA app. The missing packs are Cottage Living and Discover University. I bought them through Eneba, redeemed the codes on my EA account, and both packs worked before. I was able to play with them normally. After not playing for a few months, I came back and found that both packs were gone. They do not appear in The Sims 4 > Manage > Manage add-ons in the EA app anymore. I already tried: checking Manage add-ons , clearing the EA app , restarting the EA app ,signing out and back in & reinstalling the EA app. The issue is still happening. I have proof of purchase/receipts for the packs. Has anyone had this happen before, or is there anything else I can check? The Victorian
Hello fellow Simmers!!! Today I bring to you a build that I did for QTSimz Shell Challenge. I can honestly say that it definitely was a challenge with the curved walls, but once I knew what I wanted it did come together nicely. As with most of QT's shell, which she gives us very minimal rules, I did move the top floor to a position that fit my need and I knew immediately that I wanted something Victorian style. So here is what I came up with: I love the way this build came out. The porch and the wildflower garden are some of my favorite parts of this build. Next I will show you the floor plan: Following are some exterior pictures: Last but not least some interior pictures: I wanted to keep the color scheme to a calming color and so I chose the teal or mint green color along with gold accents. I hope whoever downloads this home will enjoy it very much. Let me know what you think of it. Enjoy!!! Gallery ID: Froggy274769Views7likes6CommentsCross-Platform DLC Transfers for The Sims 4
Dear Reader, As a dedicated Sim player for over 18 years, I genuinely love and enjoy the game. While I've occasionally been frustrated by some updates (or the lack thereof), nothing has been more disheartening than the inability to transfer purchased packs across platforms. I currently play on PlayStation but have been considering switching to PC/Mac for greater convenience, especially when traveling. However, I was shocked to discover that the significant investment I've made in The Sims 4 content—over $1,400 across expansion packs, game packs, stuff packs, and kits—would not carry over to a new platform. This limitation is both frustrating and discouraging for loyal players like myself. What is the point of having an EA account if it doesn't provide the flexibility to access purchased content across platforms? The idea of repurchasing the same DLC content for another $1,400 is unreasonable and alienating to devoted fans. Allowing cross-platform pack transfers would offer more advantages than drawbacks: Player Loyalty and Customer Appreciation: The Sims franchise thrives on its passionate and loyal player base. Allowing cross-platform pack transfers would show that EA values and appreciates its most dedicated players. Increasing Player Engagement: Players are more likely to engage with the game on multiple platforms when their content carries over. This flexibility enhances the player experience, encouraging greater long-term involvement in the game. Consistency with Industry Trends: Cross-platform play and transferable purchases are becoming industry standards. Major gaming companies such as Epic Games, Microsoft, and Ubisoft have embraced this model, making it easier for players to access their content across different devices. EA should follow suit to remain competitive and player-focused. Convenience for Players on the Go: Gaming isn't confined to a single device anymore. Many players, myself included, would love to play The Sims 4 while traveling or on road trips by simply hotspotting a laptop to a phone. Without cross-platform content, this becomes nearly impossible for console players. Protection Against Piracy: The current system inadvertently encourages players to seek unauthorized ways to access their paid content on other platforms. Offering a legitimate solution for transferring packs would reduce the incentive for piracy. Increased DLC Sales: Players who have the flexibility to use their packs across platforms are more likely to continue purchasing new content rather than feeling alienated by platform restrictions. Improved Customer Satisfaction: Happy customers are more likely to recommend the game and remain loyal to the franchise. Allowing pack transfers would address a significant pain point for many players, fostering a more positive relationship with the EA brand. I understand that some might argue I should simply remain on PlayStation, but it's not always practical. Being able to hotspot my laptop during travel and play like so many other players would be a game-changer for me. I appreciate the hard work the team puts into developing new content, and I'm more than willing to continue supporting The Sims series financially. However, I cannot justify paying twice for the same content. Loyal fans deserve a better solution. I sincerely hope EA will consider addressing this issue and providing a solution that benefits the entire player base. Thank you for your time and for listening to this long-time player's concerns. ~ Haley1.9KViews16likes88CommentsOccult Pack Sequels Focused on CAS & Build/Buy Expansion
I wouldn’t mind seeing sequels to existing occult packs like Vampires, Werewolves, or Enchanted/Nature‑based content — as long as the focus is on adding more CAS items and Build/Buy items. Occults are some of the most popular features in The Sims 4, but most of them only received one pack and then stopped getting updates. A sequel pack could expand their customization options, aesthetics, and world‑building without needing to redo the gameplay systems. More hair, accessories, anatomical features, clothing, furniture, themed clutter, and architectural styles would help each occult feel more complete and give players more creative freedom. This would let existing occults grow instead of being replaced or redesigned, and it would give long‑term players more depth for storytelling and building.11Views0likes0CommentsHigh-Tech Burglar Prevention
I’d love to see more anti‑burglar items added to the game. Right now we only have the upgraded alarm, but burglar gameplay exists now, so expanding home security would make building and storytelling a lot more fun. Things like security cameras, laser grids, motion sensors, tripwires, pressure plates, and window‑break detectors would add depth and give players more control over protecting their homes.34Views0likes2Comments
