CFB 26 RTG “star ranking in high school goes down no matter what.
If I start off as a 5 star in RTG, even if I hit most of the tasks that the colleges ask me to do I usually end up as a 3 star at the end of my senior year. I thought this was a skill issue but I’ve done this countless times and every time I start off as a 5 star I drop to 3 and sometimes even 2. It seems that no matter what I do, with my tapes and my tape scores, my stars drop. Pretty sure this is a bug.400Views0likes2CommentsDefensive RTG is unplayable
The coach grade dropping is far too aggressive. This has been stated before, but this fix should be prioritized. - No weighting on defensive grade drops - I get -15 for a gain of 1 on 3rd and 9? Context matters. This isn't offset enough for "defensive stop" - I don't get credit for PBUs for other defenders, but I get deducted if they allow a catch. Same for throw aways? - Good / Great coverage is bugged. Appears randomly - As stated, academics value per energy is not realistic Considering we can adjust exp and sliders, just let us turn on/off the grades. I just want to play without playing 1 drive per quarter before I get dropped. I don't necessarily think this is "skill issue". I think it's unfair to penalize an individual player for a defensive unit. The joy of this game comes from being hercules on a bad squad, but that's impossible if my 64 edge defender can't set the edge while I'm playing cornerback on the opposite side.399Views7likes9CommentsNo punt return or kick return in rtg
My wr has a 95 return rating and is the starting kick off and punt returner yet again like last year it sims through it. Like dang bruh 70 bucks on this game for yall to not change any of the faces for rtg or hair styles or positions, like ok cool but I can’t return punts bro!! COME ON! Or even play both sides of the ball in highschool like ok I get not being able to in college because it’s not very common besides Charles Woodson and as of late Travis Hunter but in highschool I played both sides of the ball and pretty much our entire team did. If you was good you could start at lineback and tight end of quarterback and safety. Uuugh hopefully this will be added next year because sadly it was in the game in ncaa 14. How hard is it to copy everything from a precious master piece of a game but with the graphics and animations of today?RTG attributes and upgrade problem
I am like a 90 and have 3 other plat ability's and also unlocked silver sure hands in high school and can't buy 50/50. I've upgraded catching a lot but it doesn't change either spec or contested caching, (There is most likely other stats that don't go up but these are the 2 that I could see). The permanent stat changes from NIL's do make the stats go up and count towards ability's but I don't want it to be the only way because you would have to hope you get the right one which is stupid, which makes me think it wasn't meant to be the only way to get some stats up. Also will I be able to unlock the ability's my player can get from just playing good in high school, like how I did when I got silver sure hands?RTG as a DB
To start off I am not that good at the game. However that being said, I created a DB RTG and in the high school games I had a lot of fun and got an interception. I have played as a DB in 25 and as well in former Madden games. Playing as my DB once I got him to college has been a struggle. My player is consistently not being targeted even though I feel as if I am baiting the QB pretty well. But that is not what has been frustrating the most. What has been the most frustrating is the fact that I am constantly being subbed out because my grade gets down to an F. This is so frustrating because the main reason my grade is getting so low is because of the plays on the opposite side of the field that are big gains which is all on my teammates not me yet I have to lose so much coach trust/happiness because of it.Dealbreakers & certain recruiting grades need to be scaled for short quarters
Honestly I like the concept. Maybe not a fan of this change in college football generally but I think EA was on the right track with this one. However, some of these player specific dealbreakers need to be reworked or else some of the recruiting grades' calculations need to be scaled properly or rewritten altogether. The biggest one I'm thinking of is playing style. I like to play every game on my schedule, but that gets cumbersome if you set the quarters to give you realistic stats. So I set my quarters to 4 minutes, and the default is 5 minutes. However, I'm not going to get 400 offensive yards a game, let alone average that (which is roughly what a A-/B+ grade for offensive play styles sits at). I usually get on the low end of 200-300 and that's fine for me but it does generally result in F-D+ grades in the playing style recruiting grade. This means that even though I might get starting interest from 4* offensive players, I'm functionally locked out from recruiting these players because of a play setting. This isn't something I can just overcome by improving my school or recruiting better over time. Conversely, I can get insane defensive players and never lose them because I end up with an A+ grade for playing style for many archetypes simply because there's less time for opposing offenses to be on the field. I probably shouldn't be rewarded for this gameplay setting either. Similarly, others have noted that playing time is affected by minutes on the field, and again, the other teams simulate full 15 minutes quarters, putting users at a heavy disadvantage. This needs to be scaled properly to not disadvantage users if these recruiting grades are going to factor this heavily into dynasty gameplay. Personally I don't think that a recruiting grade should be so heavily affected by a gameplay setting. I don't have an answer, but I don't think that the current state is an appropriate representation of the sport, particularly with such a hyperactive transfer portal.
