Severe lag after 1 hour of gameplay : requires restart
Hi, I'm experiencing a major performance issue that seems to affect a lot of players (I asked my community and many confirmed having the same problem). When I first launch the game, everything runs smoothly. Menus like Needs, Inventory, and Aspirations open instantly. Build/Buy mode is fine too, with maybe a tiny freeze the first time, but that’s normal. The issue is: the longer I play, the worse the game performs. - After around 30 minutes, the menus start to feel a bit slower. - After about an hour, the game becomes extremely laggy: - Opening the Needs panel takes a few seconds. - Build/Buy mode freezes for 5–6 seconds before opening. - The Eyedropper tool has a delay of around 2 seconds. - UI and general interactions become very sluggish. The only fix is to completely restart the game. After relaunching, everything is smooth again — but only temporarily. After another 30–60 minutes, the problem comes back. This isn’t a hardware issue. My PC setup: - Intel Core i9-12900K - 64 GB DDR5 RAM - NVIDIA RTX 4090 - Game installed on SSD - No mods, no CC - All expansion packs installed I also tend to play fast-paced, usually on speed 3. In one hour of real-time gameplay, I can go through 10–14 Sim days. It seems like the game is slowly filling up memory or cache that never clears unless I restart. It would be great to know if this has already been reported or tracked by the dev team, because it makes long play sessions really frustrating. Thanks!13KViews1137likes101Comments[CD] Can't bathe dog

I’ve been experiencing constant packet loss and latency issues mainly when playing the large scale battle maps/game modes but when switching to the smaller scale maps the issue is gone completely. It’s like playing the game in slow motion basically when I just try to deal with it on the bigger maps/modes. I’m running the game on a gaming laptop with a 13th gen i7, rtx 4070 and 16 GB RAM. When the packet loss/latency issues aren’t happening (rarely) I’m running the game smoothly with around 100+ fps and my connection is completely fine (tested other games and conducted internet speed tests). I've posted about this on Reddit and have found that many others are experiencing this issue as well even with better PC set ups also. Hopefully this gets fixed, pretty bummed out that I can’t experience the craziness of the large scale battles BF is known for. EDIT: A work around for this issue for me is the community servers. I’ve played large scale maps and battles with little to no issues. Hopefully this helps you guys out. Still sucks that we can’t play the official servers without having to deal with this.48KViews298likes133CommentsBF6 Lag
Many people are experiencing lag and latency when playing BF6 on official servers. Doesn't seem to be a problem on community servers. People experience sliding, rubber banding, bullets not landing etc. See post here which contains a lot of people's experiences. It doesnt appear to be network related as people with wired fibre connections are experiencing it, or CPU/VRAM as people are experiencing the issue with specs that mean that this should not be a problem. I noticed that the VRAM usage seems to increase over time during a session on BF6 regardless of the graphics settings used i.e. Low - Overkill. I gave it a test and noted that while setting the graphics to overkill right after launch of the game and prior to loading into a game the VRAM did the following: Started at 8Gb of VRAM usage Increased to 10Gb at the point of the game starting (post loading) Sit at close to 14Gb of VRAM usage in the menu Drop back down to just under 7Gb after I changed it from overkill to another setting and back up to overkill This behaviour seems consistent while playing the game although the values vary but the same increase in VRAM overtime occurs and the longer the play session, the higher the VRAM usage (I've seen it close to the full 16Gb while just in the menu post game). It eventually reaches a point of noticeable stutters, and major FPS decreases whereby it would normally play at 100 - 120 and after some time it would average 60 - 90 regardless of map. I've seen this reported elsewhere such as on Reddit and Steam but I hadn't seen anything on here that I know of so though it may be worth bringing some attention to it. Specs tested on the following with up to date drivers: CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D GPU: AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT Memory: 64GB DDR5 Storage Type: SSD Screenshots included from testing (It states custom on 3 screenshots as I had changed the settings back to Overkill within advanced prior rather than the overall setting)30KViews286likes218CommentsTime/Sim freezes while environment still moves
There is currently an issue in MCCC that is causing a freezing like this if you have auto-marriages turned on. If you encounter this is with ANY mods in your game, then this is not your thread. Please head over to the The Sims 4 Mods & Custom Content forum and post there for help or ask at the MCCC Discord. This is a very specific bug symptom so please only post here if you see all of the below in your game. There are many similar issues, so this should be kept to this issue only. This can either be an extreme lag or a total freeze. Symptoms in the game Time stand still although there can be a delay where time moves for a but when part of UI is frozen You can't click on anything Sims move but do interactions endlessly Environment moves If you have multiple household members, you can't switch between them. Going to the map in this state can lead to endless loading You can still switch to build mode but only delete one item. Not all households are affected. Unsure what causes it. Unsure/More info needed It start happening at a specific time Computer starts to use up a lot of the resources Not this issue Sims don't respond to commands, standing around doing nothing12KViews286likes223CommentsSims continue canceling actions (Routing Failure)
No matter what I do, painting, bathing the babies, simply bringing them over to bathe, picking them up, walking inside a house, they cancel it or complain that they can’t walk there when they absolutely can. I have to manually click on different areas of the floor and make them walk into a house or go up the stairs or else they complain that they can’t get there. I am getting all kinds of server side lag. My name on the scoreboard constantly shows a wifi symbol with an exclamation point through it. Here are some of things I am experiencing: Sliding in different directions like I am drifting. Severely delayed ADS Rubber-banding back and forth and watching friendlies and enemies do the same. When firing or receiving fire I die instantly with no one there. This problem existed in the beta and I assumed it was a server load problem. I tried various fixes and speedtests on my end and I have no problem in any other online game, including Battlefield 5. Is this a known issue? Is there a fix? Can we change are server location?Solved110KViews262likes632CommentsSims randomly change seats during conversations (Musical Chairs)
I’m sorry if a similar thread already exists. I searched for it but couldn’t find one. This is a very old bug. Sims start switching seats during conversations. Sometimes they just get up from their seat and sit back down again. If they’re on a community lot, a group of Sims who came together may end up sitting at different tables and shouting to each other across the entire room. No mods, no CC, all the expansions installed. PC.1.2KViews236likes16Comments
