Veilguard Crashing
So Everytime I try to get into the game I either crashs before the loading screen or after I try to make my rook. Is anyone else having that issue. Everything is up-to-date on my end so i don't know whats going wrong. At this point idgaf im taking my money back because its obviously the Game creators fault and not listenting to people.
[EA App] Sign in With Your EA Account Error
Why am I suddenly getting this 1. I did not play the game on EA Play or EA Play Pro subscriptions 2. I cannot resize or get to the password box 3. The last time it appeared, I clicked on the X and closed it, and the game would play and run after restarting the EA App on the PC. I do not get bonus content pop up any more so no Deluxe and Pre-order content appearing, possibly connected If anyone has an answer, I would love to know how to prevent this from occurring Regards Iain
INDEX FILE - An error occured while trying to complete your request
At the splash screen when it says to press any button I immediately get this error and cannot progress beyond this point. I've reinstalled the game, and moved it from hard drive to hard drive. I've disabled all firewalls on my computer. Nothing seems to help right now. Has anyone found a solution for this yet? I've seen a ton of posts but nothing with a concrete fix.White screen and freezing at character creator.
I have tried every fix I could find redownloading and installing, clearing shader caches, updating EVERYTHING and still this happens at launch, then the game crashes and PC freezing. When you pre-order a game a month in advance and still can't play it a week and a half after launch it is infuriating. Now because I have spent 5 hours trying everything to fix it Steam says I have played it beyond the 2 hours allotted for a refund.
Appearance resets every time game launches
I'm playing a qunari, and literally every time I launch the game she loads in with one of the default preset appearances rather than the appearance I created for her (see attached images, first one is the default presets she loads in with, second image is what she's actually supposed to look like). It's fixable by hitting the mirror in the lighthouse, the mirror remembers what she's supposed to look like, but it's incredibly frustrating having to teleport to the lighthouse and run up to the mirror every single time I launch the game :(
Game is broken black screen and unloadable
Everything is gone. And I'm so furious and disappointed. I have recently finished Lucanis' companion quests Murder of crows. I did the cut scene, then went to arlathan forest to do darvin and bells companion quests. As soon as I get to the forest, it's missing most of the ground. I can't run out of the beginning area with out falling through the world and then met with a black screen and the UI is still there. Fast traveling any where in the area also has be just have a black screen and I see rook fall through the world for a second then dies, and loads back in a black screen with the ui still available. I tried continuing the main quest line "blood of Arlathan"". It's also in arlathan forest. This area is also filled with holes and I can't move on or I fall through the world. I tried going back to an old save file and playing to that point again. But you still fall through the world. I tried going to dock town, just to see if it was only arlathan. Turns out dock town doesn't have a ground either. I restarted my Xbox, and the game just won't load anymore. It just opens a black screen and there is nothing there. The game is completely broken. So now dragon age is simply unplayable.DAV won't run on PC despite adequate specs
So I've really been going through the wringer trying to get this game to launch. I first bought Dragon Age: Veilguard on Steam about two weeks ago. However, once the game had finished installing, it would not launch. I would press "play" and the game just wouldn't do anything, not even an error message or any other pop-up. I tried verifying the game files multiple times, but that didn't do anything. I tried deleting that shader-cache folder everyone has mentioned, but that didn't do anything either. I uninstalled and reinstalled the game, tried running it as an administrator, let windows troubleshoot it...nothing. Finally, I returned the game to Steam and decided to try purchasing it through the EA app itself to see if that would fare any better. Bought it, installed it, and when I went to play it, now I would get an error message, a pop-up window that says, "There's a problem with your game's setup. Please reinstall your game." So I did.Multiple times. I tried repairing the files, running as administrator again, troubleshooting through windows, clearing my EA cache, fiddled with every graphics setting I could find to trial-and-error it. I tried to make sure that there were no background programs that could be interfering with the computer's ability to launch it, but it still will not work. Needless to say, I'm beyond frustrated. I've triple checked my PC's specs compared to what is needed to run the game successfully, and it's more than up to snuff. For reference, it's able to run Baldur's Gate 3 and the Mass Effect games and the like with no issues whatsoever. At first, I was convinced it must be an issue with the game, but after downloading the most recent patch and STILL not being able to run it, I wasn't so sure anymore. More confusing still, I installed DAV through EA on my dinky old laptop as well, just to see what it would do, and the kicker is that it actually tries to run the game--I'll even get a loading image in the bottom right corner--but ultimately it fails because my computer just doesn't have enough memory for it, which is to be expected. So I don't know what the difference between my two computers is that one will try to actually launch the game, and the other won't even let me get past a pop-up message. Has anyone else had an issue like this? Is there some program that could be running on my desktop PC that is notorious for interfering with DAV's ability to launch? I know nothing about computers so I'd appreciate any help or advice anyone can offer!:)
