THERE WAS NO CONFUSION ABOUT THE SUPERSONIC EVENT ENDING @ RSPN_JAX
Whoever had the guts to write out that email about the Supersonic event ending being “confusing” for certain people is CRAZY. How about take the real approach, THAT YOU LIED TO EVERYONE. Dont post on your website the WHOLE EVENT is going to END ON THE 16th of DECEMBER. IF ITS NOT GOING TO END. Tired of these deceiving market ploys to hit quotas before the year is over. Grow up and stick to what you say you’re going to do?2Views0likes0CommentsVisible health bars & low TTK
I genuinely believe adding visible health bars and ruining the TTK has taken away a lot of what made Apex and the fights great and interesting to play or watch. Season 21 was the last time we played before health bars, then the low TTK happened in Season 24. No surprise the game has been on a steady decline since S21... The fights are way too fast now and the teamfighting/legend dynamics were completely changed when everyone just pushes everything super fast with low HP because they know exactly how low they are, and with health bars, know exactly where they are or what direction they're trying to evade to. The game is way too one-dimensional now. The game just isn't as interesting anymore because the fights aren't nearly as back-and-forth as they used to be. Also it's increasingly harder to balance all the weapons/legends to be viable when everyone dies so quickly and the fights end so fast now. I know this is copy/pasted from my other countless other comments about these changes since they were added over a year ago, but I don't know how else to make my point. I've repeated my point of view over and over, but nothing is being done and the playerbase and viewership keeps declining... I just want my favorite game to return to its former greatness. Here is a summary of why the two biggest core gameplay issues plaguing the game are visible health bars and low TTK: Health bars: - Gives free tracking and awareness - letting players see exactly where weakened enemies move, even through foliage or visual clutter. - Makes 3rd partying way easier since you instantly know who’s low and safe to push. - Removes the fog of war: no more guessing HP, no more deception via shield swaps, no more hiding HP weakness by using shield cells/batteries to re-peek. - Makes certain legends and abilities (Seer tac, Bloodhound, Mirage ult, etc.) far less valuable. - Encourages nonstop aping and movement legends - if you ever peek with flesh, everyone knows and full-sends. - Subconsciously affects split-second decisions at every level of play. - Makes tracking and aiming easier because players now have giant bars floating over them. Low TTK: - Erases mid-fight depth, teamfight dancing, clutch potential, and outplays. - Punishes solos and flanks - one tick of damage reveals your exact location and HP, and you’re basically out of the fight. - Leads to instant knocks → quick 2v3s with little chance for recovery. - Reduces the value of defensive or slower legends. - Shrinks the margin for error so much that taking even minor damage forces you to hide and heal instead of fighting back. Combined, HP bars + low TTK: - Creates cheap, fast kills, shallow fights, and overly aggressive playstyles. - Removes most of what made old Apex dynamic, skill-expressive, and balanced. - Makes movement less valuable and tracking easier. - Turns fights into linear one-dimensional “see flesh/red HP bar → push instantly” scenarios. Overall: Apex played best and was at its peak in the seasons before visible HP bars were added. Removing them—and/or raising the TTK—would restore much of the original depth and fun that made us all like the game. Let me start by saying Apex Legends is just annoying to play. I have over 1500 hours playing time and for some reason I still get sh## on every game. I bought an Xbox controller with the dpads over a year ago and it helped me feel faster, but now it’s like every game has predator or master players. I got to the point where Im reporting people all the time. It’s not even fun because the only chance I have to win a fight is to snipe or to have a teammate who is one of those predator players. I don’t even write reviews, so you can tell how bad I hate playing this game now. Even wildcard I get teammates that have over 2000 damage in the first few minutes of the game while to me it doesn’t make sense how the second I shoot someone I’m getting clapped from the back. Even if I start shooting from height and I’m head glitching and my enemy isn’t even aware I’m there, he still turns and takes all of my shield to where I can’t even poke my head out . It’s just annoying22Views0likes2Commentsdoesn't run Apex Legends On STEAM DECK
Because my computer is very old, I bought a Steam Deck to play games like Hogwarts Legacy, Horizon Forbidden West, and Avatar, relying on Steam for that purpose. Apex Legends was among the games I couldn't play, but was sure I could. Not being able to play a game that's even playable on Nintendo Switch on Steam's own console is really disappointing. I want a solution to this as soon as possible. I'm very happy with the device, but not being able to play the game I've spent the most hours on is truly frustrating. I've played this game for 672 hours on Steam and spent a lot of money on it. It's my most played game. I hope you'll look into this.Mirage - WILDCARD
Mirage should lose his passive ability of invisibility. Controller characters don't have overhealing shields in the ring, and characters like Wraith, Octane (and others in the same group) don't have overhealing HP and shields when knocked down. So why is Mirage invisible in this mode? I'd add that when there are three of them, it's better to just leave the match, because playing then is no fun at all. Do something about this.14Views0likes1CommentThe 2 biggest core gameplay issues: Visible health bars & low TTK
I'll preface this long rant by saying I'm a Day 1 player on PC with over 7k hours played. I've played through every version, season, and meta of the game. After all the good and bad changes, it's still my favorite FPS game of all time. But I'm concerned with the recent direction the game has taken the last few seasons and I'm worried that Respawn doesn't realize that their recent attempts to make the game easier for everyone has massively backfired. I genuinely believe adding visible health bars and ruining the TTK has taken away a lot of what made Apex and the fights great and interesting to play or watch.
