No internet?
My EA app won't let me update my Sims 4. I have tried contacting costumer support twice, but they couldn't help me. It is stuck on 2% and then says I don't have any internet connection, even though everything else works on the app with internet (i.e. I could buy new packs). This has been going on for about a month now.Stuck on 2% 'preparing' while downloading
I've just bought Mass Effect: Legendary Edition and have been trying to download it for the past god knows how long to no avail. I've followed every forum tutorial and reddit post that I could find relating to this problem — and it's still stuck looping 'preparing' on 2%. I've cleared the app cache through app recovery, ended the EA Background task in Task Manager, signed out and back in, restarted my computer, deleted my temp files, running the app as admin, cancelled the download in-app (where it then stays stuck in a cancelling loop), tried downloading the game on another drive (still got stuck), and more (even re-installed the app via the website after it originally downloaded through Epic) I know it's not a problem with my SSD or my internet since I was easily able to download another game the day before through Steam without any issues. What do I even do now?133Views0likes10Comments***POTENTIAL FIX FOR EA APP PREPARING TO LAUNCH***
I've just gotten off live support for the second time and the advisor has given me this recommendation, I can confirm that it has solved my issue and I am able to launch the game as normal. Solution below. For people using EA app try this - Create a new admin user for windows and launch EA app (your games and EA App should still be installed depending on which drive you installed them on) - your game should launch and play as normal. Once this is done you can go back to your main account and launch from there. It may ask you to choose a save point (Be it local or cloud save) I *don't* think it matters which BUT I did click local save because people are having issues with one drive. After this the game should launch fine. If it doesn't you may need to contact EA support.Unknown error on my download
So I currently play sims 4 on my MacBook, I recently purchased the get to work expansion pack but when I tried to download it I would immediately get an unknown error message after about 2 percent of it being downloaded. I've restarted my MacBook, cleared the cache thoroughly, even going so far as going into my computer library and cleaning out all the EA and Origin folders, reinstalled the EA app and of course restarted the EA app. Nothing has helped and this is my last resort, I've put in an error report too, no response yet.SolvedTS4 stuck on "cancelling"
There was a recent update for my game and it was stuck in the updating process, it didn't even begin to load to 1% for like twenty minutes. So, I hit cancel in hopes that I could retry downloading again but now it has been stuck on "canceling" for about five hours. I need help please, I don't know how to fix this!SolvedSo many issues
Okay, so, let's start from the easiest: my Discord account was hacked in 2023 and I lost it, had to make a new one. I didn't even remember I had it connected to my EA account and, honestly, only just today noticed so. I unlinked it, because of course, but I can't link my new one... because that's the policy for no fluffing reason? What the fluff. It makes no sense whatsoever. And there's no way to contact the support via the EA app or the site, only check guides and go :) if it helped or :( if it didn't. Baffling. Second issue: I can't get FIFA 13 starting. It takes ages to open up the config menu and then, when I hit "Play"... nothing happens. I've been playing the past two days no issue, I was playing not even 24 hours ago, hibernated my PC, got it working again, FIFA would no longer work and the EA app doesn't do much. I've repaired the game, I've closed everything and opened it up again, I restarted my PC... Nothing changes and nothing happens. Out of the blue, just like that. For no fluffing reason. And, of course, you can't ask help for FIFA 13 either since it's old- but I bought it, so I don't fluffing care if it's old as fluff, I want support for the game I spent money on. So, yeah, I'll be waiting for help because the state of EA's support is laugh-worthy; and that's only making me laugh to try and not cry about how terrible it is.
