EA "Background servers crashed"

After downloading the most recent update for the EA app my account wouldn't load or let me interact with it at all. In an effort to fix that problem I exited EA and tried re-entering, but then the error message "Background servers crashed" popped up. I have tried repairing the app, uninstalling and reinstalling, allowing it on my viruses/ firewall, cleared cash, restarting my computer, trying to start it directly from the sims, shutting off Wi-Fi, updated computer, etc. None of those have worked and the message still pops up telling me to "update". However, when clicked it says that the EA app is already fully updated. I have been unable to access the app or my game for over two days now, and I do not use any Mods.
