'WWW' main menu bug & error code 102:457b7b46
It started with this "WWW" bug. When I try to load a game, it takes me to the worlds menu, allows me to choose a household, loads for 5 seconds, & takes me right back to the worlds menu.
I uninstalled & reinstalled. I renamed "The Sims 4" folder within Documents' "Electronic Arts" folder - twice. Over and over, I've repaired & cleared the cache (App Recovery). I've tried removing "localthumbcache.package" & "avatarcache.package." I updated my MacBook Air. I removed all my mods & custom content, finding 2 corrupted files; still, I added them back in batches & everything was okay.
I got it working & have no idea how, though it was short lived. After creating 1 sim, I chose the lot & it immediately gave me "error code 102:457b7b46," encouraging me to restart the game. (I've never seen this error before & after all my attempts to remedy "WWW," I've never seen it again.) Unsurprisingly, restarting didn't do anything helpful: I was returned to the "WWW" glitch.
I saw a post from 6 years ago that indicated the error code was related to mods, but this "WWW" continues to occur when there are NO mods or custom content in my game.
I am a total loss here, and, if you can't tell, SO desperate to fix this.
If it helps, my game version is indicated in the bottom left of the screenshot. I have Horse Ranch Expansion, Toddler Stuff, Seasons, Romantic Garden Stuff, Parenthood, Kids Room Stuff, Jungle Adventure, Island Living, Growing Together, Get to Work, Dream Home Decorator, Discover University, and Cats & Dogs.
In advance, thank you so so SO much for literally any guidance or help you can provide (and for reading my long post). Let me know if more information is needed.
