[Read First!] How to seek help and get a quick solution.
This sticky has two functions. To make it easier for those of you who seek help to find it. To make helping less time consuming and more effective. Let’s start! This is the Mass Effect Franchise Discussion area of the EA Forum. (Original Triology, Andromeda and MELE.) Every problem you have running the game goes in here. That includes crashes, the game not starting at all, in game issues, bugs and technical questions. If you have a problem with the EA app or a problem with your account, the right places to post are others: Here is the EA app technical issues board, and here is the EA Community Discussion board for questions about account issues. (Please note that account issues can often only be resolved by official EA support). A lot of common errors with the game are already mentioned, and in this case, there is a good chance that the “Accepted solution” will help you too. Meaning? Please use the search function before you post. 😉 If you found the problem you are having as well, but the “Accepted solution” does not help, or if you can’t find something that equals the error you see, please "Start a Discussion” for your problem. First step, the title. This line should be as informative as possible! (For example: [PC] – Mass Effect 1 crashes with a "general protection fault" message.) Always include the system you play on in the title and add the Tag of your system ([PC], [PS3] [Xbox] and so forth.) Second step, the problem description. Be as precise and detailed as possible! - What is the exact error message? - What is happening exactly? - When exactly does the problem occur? - Where exactly does the problem occur? If the problem is in game and/or hard to describe, or if the error message is complicated and hard to write down, include a screenshot or a video to your post. If it is a Windows error you can print the screen with the “Print Screen” button (Print Scrn, Prnt Scrn, Prt Scrn, Prt Scn, Prt Scr, Prt Sc or Pr Sc) on your keyboard. (most of the time on the right-hand side of the “F12” key.) A cursor will appear allowing you to take a screenshot of a specific area of your screen. Just paste the screenshot you took into the open "Start a Discussion" page, or use the "Insert Media button" (Camera symbol.) in the "Tools" menu: You also could use the "Add an Attachment" button at the bottom of the "Start a Discussion" window. If the error is in game the above method might not work. You can use “NVIDIA App” if you use an NVIDIA GPU or "Radeon ReLives“ if you use a AMD GPU to create an in-game screenshot. If you don’t want to use these kinds of tools, the lightweight software “FRAPS” (Freeware) is also capable of capturing in-game screenshots. On the Consoles it is also possible to create a screenshot, refer to the manual of your console. Third step, your system information. If you are on a PC and you have a technical problem of any kind always attach a “DxDiag” to your post! Here is a tutorial on how to create a DxDiag in Text file format. If you use Windows 7, also go to your Reliability monitor: Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time and copy and paste or type "perfmon /rel" (without the quotes) in the new window > hit “ENTER” and look if it has entries for the game you have trouble with. If so double click at the last entry for the game executable, copy the info to the clipboard and save it to a text file. You can attach the "DxDiag" text file you created (and the “Reliability monitor” text file as well) to your post with the "Add an Attachment" button.
[PC] Mass Effect Unauthorized DLC Error
Commander, you've received a new message at your private terminal! Ready to jump back in the game and save the galaxy? Are you running into an error that matches the following: "Unable to authorize the listed DLC"? Below are the steps to help resolve this error when launching both Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3. Checking your account First things first. Make sure you are logged into the correct account. With older titles, we may often end up with multiple EA accounts without realizing it. Use the following steps to verify you are in the correct account. Head on over to EA.com and log in with your EA credentials. Under the About Me section, make sure you see a Mass Effect ID. If you play on Epic/Steam/Switch, check the Connections tab at the bottom of the page to verify the accounts are linked. Click on Order History, change the drop-down to match All, and scroll through the content, as there should be logs here with each DLC name. Note: If the EA account previously had an EA Play subscription, once the subscription ends, you will lose access to any additional content the subscription provides. You can read more about what content is included in the Learn about EA Play article. Once you verify you are in the correct account, perform the following steps below as these should help reinstall the DLC content and resolve these errors. Troubleshooting Steps Locate the following folder on their PC Default Path: C:\Program Files\EA Games. This path may vary depending on where the player installs the game. C:\Program Files\EA Games\Mass Effect 2\BioGame C:\Program Files\EA Games\Mass Effect 3\BIOGame Delete ALL DLC content within the DLC folder Delete EA License Files Make sure the EA app is closed. Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time. Type or copy and paste "%ProgramData%\Electronic Arts\EA Services" (without the quotes) into the new Window > ENTER. Enable View Hidden Files and Folders Delete all files in the "License" folder. If the above steps do not resolve the issue, you will need to contact one of our advisors to review the account and the content currently linked to the account you log into the game with. Mass Effect 1 Won't Launch (Mods Installed)
Hello I am new to modding and PC gaming in general and couldn't find anything about my specific issue. Today I reinstalled mass effect, played for a bit, and activated the mods I have used in the past via me3 tweaks and took great pains to ensure compatibility again just in case something had changed. At first when I launched ME from the launcher it would take a very long time for the game to actually start with the occasional crash. When the problem persisted, I went to backup and the backups I made are gone, maybe I screwed something up on Me3 tweaks unknowingly? So I uninstalled and reinstalled the game twice now. ME2 and ME3 launch perfectly fine from the launcher and ME crashes in less than a minute and sends me back to the launcher. I thought it was perhaps the EA app at one point so I now launch from origin, steam, and from me3 tweaks directly and nothing works as far as ME1 goes. Have I irreparably screwed this thing? And apologies that I'm not very knowledgeable about computers. This is the first issue I've run into with modding anything and I did a full playthrough of the trilogy last year on PC with several mods and it went very smoothly.[INFO] Mass Effect Legendary Edition - Common Game Fixing Mods

Controller Not Working - Mass Effect Legendary Edition Steam
System: PC Windows 10 Purchased on Steam Latest EA App Version 13.482.0.5995 I recently reinstalled Legendary Edition to replay the trilogy and no matter what I try I cannot get my controller to connect (I have PS5 and a generic xbox controller). I remember playing with controller just fine back in 2021 and the best I can find online is that this seems to be an ongoing issue with the EA App itself. I bought the game on steam, I have adjusted every possible controller setting on there. I have tried adding EADesktop as a non-steam game, and that does show the controller in the Legendary menu, but once I boot up ME1 it no longer shows any controller options. If anyone has any other work arounds to try that would be great!ME:LE 3 won't launch
Hi! I've tried just about everything so as a last resort i'm gonna ask help from here. Two things of note: i'm playing on pc and my game is on an external hard drive. Been playing for a long time, and haven't had many issues before. About a week ago my ME:LE just deleted itself from Steam, saying it wasn't installed anymore. Installed it again and went to play as normal, but the game wouldn't launch. The launcher itself works fine, but when i try to load the last save, it lags and crashes at the loading screen, taking me back to the launcher. I'm currently playing ME3, and it seems like the problem is with that game specifically, because i tried starting new ME1 and 2 saves and there were no problems with either of them. What i have tried so far: deleted the game and installed it again (multiple times) updates my graphics cards moved it to my computers internal drive tried launching it straight from the .exe file verified the game files (multiple times) cleared EA app's cache Tried basically everything that came up when googling this problem. If there is anyone who could help with this i'd be very grateful.Не засчитывается достижение "Оружейник" (Gunsmith) в ME:LE.
Внутри игры процесс ачивки стоит на 10/10, но она не засчитана. В стиме и EA достижение также не отображается. Попытки повторно улучшить оружие до 10 уровня, а также удалить сохранение и прокачать оружие до 10 уровня в оффлайн режиме, после чего подключиться к стим результата не дали.
Какая самая лучшая броня в Mass Effect 1 и 2 и 3?
Играю я, и значит заметил я то что есть разные броня. Посмотрел все, ни одна не понравилась, оставил сток но не много изменил. Бегаю в шлеме нагрудник нарукавники и ноги тоже изменил плюсы тоже даёт. Только стоит её менять? I play, so I noticed there are different armor options. I looked at them all and didn't like any of them, so I left the stock ones but changed them a bit. I run with a helmet, chest guard, arm guards, and leg guards, and I changed them, which also gives me some advantages. But is it worth changing?
