[DHD] Sectional sofas don't work
Hey! One of the sectional sofas features, exclusive to the Dream Home Decorator pack, is that you can connect them and allow Sims to use them as proper sofas/couches instead of just individual pieces. What's the issue? Sectional sofas are no longer detected as sofas/couches when pieces are connected. How to reproduce? Start a new save (no mods). Place two sectional sofa pieces next to each other so they are connected. In live mode, click on the sectional sofa to confirm you can Nap on it. This indicates that the two pieces are recognized as connected because both pieces can be used to nap. Save and exit the game. Turn the game on and load the save. Click on the sectional sofa to confirm that you the option to Nap is no longer available, as the game fails to detect any existing sectional sofas as connected. This is pretty much the only feature of the DHD pack that I would use in everyday gameplay. Please fix.
[S] Ice Proof Sim freeze to death/get chilled moodlet (Patch 1.120.140)
In general I've seen an uptick of played Sims being auto-killed by the system. This rarely happened before getting the Life and Death package. In my current game, while playing the same household across , I've had 4 deaths of my played Sims in, I'd say less than a week of playing time. The first two were played sims that were not active. The last two, within two days at the most, were with an active Sim freezing to death. This Sim has ALL the cold weather attributes including one that says he won't be adversely affected bye cold / freezing weather (I'm paraphrasing). I can't remember the details of the first, but the system gives no way to prevent this from happening. The latest, the Sim returned home from work and joined his partner who was already celebrating with a group at the bar. I saw the Sim arrive, in normal color, almost immediately I clicked him to make an action and he was blue. My instinctual action was to have him walk to the bar so he was inside. I saw he was headed to the fire to warm up. I quickly canceled the current request and clicked on him to complete warming at the fire, and found he was automatically walking back outside to the cold! It was like I was fighting a no win battle against the system. What I would expect would include any one or combination of the following. he'd automatically put on appropriate cold weather clothes when traveling to a colder climate. His traits would kick in so he'd enjoy the cold weather vs freezing. If my Sim didn't have these traits, or not specifically the freezing one, I'd expect a Sim might occasionally freeze to death but not unless I left him out in the cold for a long time; like at an event without out appropriate clothing, or on a long jog in freezing weather. Alternately, in that last scenario, I immediately brought him into action inside the bar when brought to the location, or quickly changed into cold weather clothes, the sim would warm up and not die. I realize having one of your played Sims turn into a Ghost makes using the new Ghostly features more enticing, but give me a break..... Fortunately I save often to prevent losing too much game play when one of many crashes or uncontrollable deaths occur. I go back to the main menu without saving and find out where I have to live Groundhog Day. Unfortunately, we all know, there is no Groundhog Day. You never get the same options even if you could remember exactly what you did and in what order. Please check these algorithms and ensure the triggers for those rare events you force an active Sim to die adhere to safeguards the player has put into play for the Sim. Please add this to a 'One of the Most Irritating Game Play Situations' list. Not that it should matter in this instance, but I'm on a Mac. Game and Mac fully updated. No mods now or ever. [RL] Scandal Icon not going away when cleared/Moodlet time getting longer
I have this purple exclamation point in a cloud that periodically flashes. Now, I thought it had something to do with a scandal that my Sim got involved in, since I think that's when it started. In any case, the scandal has since cleared, but I'm still getting the repeating purple exclamation point. Can anyone shed some light on this... sort of making me batty that it won't go away. [XB/PS] Error Code when saving
I’M BEYOND angry. 2 YEARS of a multigenerational family GONE. My save is GONE. And when I try to play those families from my library and start a new game I can’t save them. My daughter’s old saves? Can’t play them. She has 2 saves - one family on each so not big files. I had one save. GONE. This new pack/update RUINED my game. I have EVERY expansion pack, stuff pack, and kit pack. $2k down the drain. THIS IS A HUGE PROBLEM - saves disappearing?!?!? Makes the game UNPLAYABLE. Almost Weekly Death Notices
My sim has been living in Nordhaven since it was released, but since she's moved in she seems to keep receiving death notices about mere acquaintances, on an almost in game weekly basis. Due to this, she is pretty much always in a state of grieving at some level or another. I'm honestly not sure if this is an actual bug, or if the game is just being rather death happy with this particular sim of mine. (I remember people posting about a similar issue when L&D was released, but I never experienced it with my Ophelia sim, that I have living in Ravenwood.) 😥
Sims don't stack spoiled Drinks from Drink Trays
WHAT HAPPENS: When drinks spoil on a Drink Tray and a player commands a Sim to "Clean Up", Sims will only pick up a single drink and wash it. This means players have to command a Sim to "Clean Up" Drinks repeatedly (queuing the action up to 6x total). WHAT SHOULD HAPPEN: Sims should stack all spoiled/empty Drinks from Drink Trays, one by one, and take a full stack of dishes to be washed. Can't register disc dlc
I've bought Island Paradise and the Pets expansion packs as physical disc copies around 2013-2016. I still have the discs and cases it came in, and have been trying to register them onto my account so I wouldn't have to spend more money. I went to TheSims3.com site but the serial number required is longer than whats on my case and my disc and comes invalid. I've been wondering if its still possible to register without having to buy an external disc drive for my Windows 10 PC.
[S] Can’t plant certain plants, regardless of the season
After the recent update, I’ve noticed there are certain plants that cannot be planted, regardless of what season it is. It just tells you that, “it’s too cold to plant!”, even if it’s the middle of summer. It doesn’t matter if you try and do it with a planter box, or on the ground, both don’t work. But some other plants are completely fine, and are able to be planted. Plants I’ve noticed so far that can’t be planted are the money tree, chocoberries, crocus, and growfruit.
