Sims don't stack spoiled Drinks from Drink Trays

WHAT HAPPENS: When drinks spoil on a Drink Tray and a player commands a Sim to "Clean Up", Sims will only pick up a single drink and wash it. This means players have to command a Sim to "Clean Up" Drinks repeatedly (queuing the action up to 6x total).

WHAT SHOULD HAPPEN: Sims should stack all spoiled/empty Drinks from Drink Trays, one by one, and take a full stack of dishes to be washed.

Doesn't matter which Drink Tray, all of them have this issue:

  • [SDX] Cozy Hot Cocoa Tray
  • [SD] Luxe Drink Tray
  • [FR] Sugarcane Juice Drink Tray
  • [SS] Arcane Aroma Tea Party
  • [B] Summer Drink Tray
  • [RR] "On a Silver Plater" Drink Tray
  • [WPK] Mad Tea Party Playset (added 02/26/2026)

They could have a similar option to all the Tea Sets, which is the "Clean Tea Set" option when clicking on the Tea Set Trays:

  • [MWS] Double Happiness Tea Set
  • [MWS] Just a Spot of Tea, Tea Set
  • [BH] Various Ceramic Tea Sets

I'd love to use the cocoa tray from the event but only used it once because of this. Its been like that since day one. It's not worth the time of cleaning up each glass separately. I don't see how this would be a hard fix when there are other drink trays that work properly. And it's 100% a bug that those trays have so reproducing it isn't a factor.

  • After you pour pretend tea, there is no way to clean up the cups, or reset the tray.

Mac. Never used cc or modes.

Edit By Crinrict: Adjusted pack tag to fit conventions of the forum.

more context - you can drag off or drink all the pretend tea cups so they go on the ground, and then when tray is empty you can pour more tea, but the other tear cups are still around. you can't drag cups into a sink. you can sell them for $0, but this is the only way to clean them up. Otherwise you just have endless amounts of tea cups.

I have that issue too and will upvote but this one is a bit different. You can’t clean up these types of tea cups at all unless you sell them.

This really shouldn’t have been merged. You cannot reset the pretend tea set tray at all. You cannot clean the tray, and you cannot wash the tea cups at all. The issue this was merged with is saying you have to clean the cups 1 by 1. This isn’t even an option for the pretend tea party one.

  • I have this issue also and it's very frustrating and spoils the fun of serving tea to others. The only way it does not drive me nuts is if I have a butler right there cleaning up each tea cup on the tray individually, though I don't always see them getting this job done efficiently either. I also found clicking each individual tea cup (that has spoiled on the tray) to request it be cleaned up rather fiddly and very annoying. It just becomes a high maintenance mess. So disappointing.

    What I expect to see:

    • Like with coffee, if a cup was taken from the tray and left out, it should need to be cleaned up, but it can be stacked on other dirty dishes if needed.
    • If the pot of tea and the remaining cups on the tray go bad/spoil, they show fumes and an option to clear the tray and have it done and ready for re-use.
    • Alternatively, if you felt it needed a clean up action, have a 'clean up/clear tray' option on the tray that results in the sim carrying a stack of dirty dishes that can be stacked and taken to clean. (And this leaves behind the clean/reset tray.)
    • Wish list: It would be a nice detail if there was a note on hover that told you how long until they spoil. Also, it would be great if we had an option to just clear the tray/reset it before they spoil.
