[CoL] Excessive use of Cross Stitch Basket
Every time there's a cross stitch basket in the house, my sims become obsessed with cross-stitching. Even if they are cross-stitching, they will have an autonomous Q to start a new one right away. It seems it's always a big rainbow, at least in my saves. I have no mods installed while seeing the problem. I have mostly all the packs except for jungle adventure, kids room stuff, perfect patio stuff and a few cas kits. [CL] Ceilings disappeared from San Myshuno Apartment
I have encountered an issue in San Myshuno where ceilings are either missing, broken, or unpaintable in several apartments. I first noticed a related broken ceiling lighting glitch in 2024 on an old save file. Although the lighting glitch has been fixed, the issue with missing ceilings appears to persist. I tested this by creating a fresh save file, and the issue remains. After investigating each apartment in San Myshuno, I have identified three distinct problems: Missing ceilings on editable lots. Missing ceilings in non-editable areas, causing outdoor lighting to shine through into the apartments. Unpaintable ceilings on editable lots. Affected Locations: Fashion District: 21 Chic Street Complex (Hallway): Missing roof in the hallway. 1313 21 Chic Street: Multiple ceilings are missing. 1312 21 Chic Street: Multiple ceilings are missing. 1310 21 Chic Street: Multiple ceilings are missing. 702 ZenView: The ceiling on the first floor is non-editable and unpaintable. Spice District: 19 Culpepper House: Missing balcony ceiling. Uptown: Landgraab Complex: Elevator ceiling on the first floor is incomplete/missing. IX Landgraab: Missing ceiling on the second floor. VIII Landgraab: The ceiling in the left corner of the kitchen is non-editable/unpaintable. 888 Spire Apartments: Elevator ceiling on the second floor is incomplete/missing. Reaper's Rewards: Wait for Newsletter Task Not Completing
I'll start with I play on PC and I don't use any mods. I started a new character for the event, a single female living in Willow Creek. I was able to do the event through the planting of the flowers and it told me I needed to 'wait for the Ambrosia Society Newsletter'. It either never came or disappeared when I got the mail the next time it arrived. It isn't in my sim's inventory, and it isn't marked off as completed. I looked at some other players' experiences and some said you could 'reorder' it from the mailbox, but that option isn't offered, nor is expediting my mail delivery. I also tried going to another lot and clicking their mailbox, using another sim save I had and seeing if it'd happen there, and starting a whole new game. I also 'repaired' my game. Again, I have no mods to uninstall or remove. And, also interestingly, before this, when I clicked the Grim icon on the upper left, it opened up a quest window with steps, both completed and needed to complete, same as with any other quests (like tutorial ones). Now, all I have is this- Any help, including how to restart the quest line (I would assume rewards that are received wouldn't be repeated) would be very appreciated. Newest Update - Memory Leak / RAM Usage
The new update has introduced along with it a memory issue. RAM usage now continues to rise until the system experiences memory exhaustion. Please note that this was not the case before the most recent update. I tried with and without mods. There is a faster loading time on the un-modded game, but RAM usage is still the issue. For reference my specs: i-7 8700k CPU 3.7 GHZ| NVIDIA GeForce 4070 Ti Super 16GB | 32GB RAM | page file is 50G | 725GB Disk space FREE Attached are save files for both modded and un-modded. Sims will suddenly go 'Out of the World' to infinity
Ive had a few time where which ever sim I was playing I would give a comand and they would start walking like they were responding but next thing I know they just kept walking off the map. They would walk through rocks, trees, wouldnt take normal path like other sims on the map. I wasnt able to bring them back until I remebered the "teleport here" cheat. Ive never experienced anything like this before. I dont play with mods or cc my game has beeen very vanilla and base game for a while now before the new expansion pack. After I bought love struck a number of other bugs started happening. Ive never ever have had problems before with my game other that the usual but rare game freeze/crash. The other bugs Ive noticed have all been reported but this bug is what I dont see reported. I wish I had a video to upload but I dont unfortunately. I will update with video when i happens again. [GTW] Males not getting pregnant after abduction
Hello, I noticed an error with alien abductions regarding alien pregnancies. Since we can choose whether or not a sim can get pregnant, if a male sim can get other sims pregnant, but can't get pregnant, during an alien abduction, he can never come back pregnant. But, alien abductions should not count with the gender option, since the sims 2 men can come back pregnant during an abduction. The alien gameplay is included in the game and is therefore an error by the developers. I had a lot of trouble getting my sim pregnant until I realized it was because of the option like add, it would be nice to make kidnappings no longer take into account if yes or no a male man can get pregnant or get pregnant. Sim is getting Loyal Moodlet despite not being Loyal
My Sim was using the interaction when you talk badly about another Sim and now she has the Moodlet where she feels tense about talking badly about the Sim. The Moodlet states it is due to the Loyal trait, which my Sim is shown not to have. I have no mods installed and the following packs - Get to Work, Seasons, Eco Lifestyle, Outdoor Retreat, Dine Out, Romantic Garden, Backyard, Bowling Night, My First Pet, Tiny Living; the Blooming Rooms and Desert Luxe kits; and the Holiday Free Stuff. Sims4 Freezing on Macbook after Jan 2025 Update
My Macbook, MacOS Monterey 12.7.6, keeps freezing every time I try to play. My EA/Origin app is working fine and all the loading screens go through so I can get to my save. However, after 2-5 seconds of play, the game completely freezes up and all I can do is "Force Quit". I have no mods or custom content. I do use cheats, like motherlode, moveobjects, ignoregameplay, etc., but that's all. I do own many game packs purchased and downloaded directly through the EA app. I have also tried repairing the game in the app, but this does nothing. Can't find a solid fix for this, if anyone has any ideas. I have seen some other people having similar problems since the update, but can't find a solution. Wondering if it's something about the update that EA needs to fix? I don't know, but I just want to play my game lol. All ideas welcome! Edit: I am able to create a new save and play that just fine, but when I try to go back to my original save, it just freezes. I don't want to lose all the progress of my old save, but I'm not sure what to do. Edit 2: I was able to play my new save for awhile, but now the game just crashes every time I open it. Gets stuck on the initial loading screen and doesn't even reach the main menu. *crying*
