Sims date ends due to 'too many mean or mischievous interactions'

It might have been the Mischief interaction you chose. Trick With Hand Buzzer almost always gets a positive reaction but most of the other Mischief interactions get negative reactions at low Mischief skill, especially if you also have a low relationship.  Negative reactions are probably not what you want during a date, especially near the beginning of a date.

Did you get a message that they were unhappy or did they just leave the date and it failed ?

I'm not the OP, but I also just had a similar thing happen. I got a secret admirer phone call and accepted it. The sim came over and I created a date with mischievous interactions as one of the options. I hadn't performed any mischief interactions yet and there had been no negative social interactions. I invited him to a fake party and the date immediately ended with the "(Sim B) has left the date after receiving too many mean or mischievous interactions from (Sim A)." He wasn't turned off by anything relating to mischief, but I did check CAS and it does say he dislikes Rascals. It still seems a bit extreme for the date to immediately shut down after one interaction, but I don't know if that's working as intended or not. Oh, also, I'm in a new save file with no mods.

Don't know either really. Can you try a second time with a Sim that doesn't have this dislike ?

Sorry for the delay in responding. I’ve had other dates with sims that didn’t have any issues regarding mischief interactions. It was just that one instance of the secret admirer date.

Hi I don't know if this thread is still open but my Sims are married and both love mischief. The one sim ended the date because his husband kept scaring him autonomously, even though they both kept laughing about it. I wish they'd either tune mischief, or have sims that have it as a like not call off a date because of it.

I recently purchased Lovestruck and was asked on my sims first date. The activities I added were to Be Friendly, Reminisce, Drink, Eat, and Be Funny. They sat down, ordered a drink each, and talked about the weather, told a funny story, and told a joke about fashion. Their drinks hadn't even arrived yet, they had the 3 friendly and funny interactions mentioned, and my date got up and immediately left due to "too many mean or mischievous interactions", even though none were performed.

This still happens. My sim can dislike mischief and pranks and still automously scare or prank her date and the date will sometimes leave after only one mishief interaction. There is a notification referencing the interaction and they advise they are leaving the date. I don't understand why sims are obsessed with mischief, but they definitely shouldn't be doing if they dislike it. Another flaw is you have the option to choose mischief/mean for a date task (which I did one time because I was playing a different sim who was mischievous and mean) and the date still left. I think sims need thicker skin and shouldn't leave for this reason when it's literally a date objective... I would like to also add another contradiction to the *new* dates in this game - when you are mischievous to your date and it's a positive reaction, it still can cause the date to leave. It's annoying and I tend to choose the original date to avoid my date from leaving no matter how mean my sim is. 

I just had this happen.  On Thursday, I received a call from a secret admirer.  The sim that got the call is unflirty, and I have so many families in this save that I don't plan on her marrying, but I figured I would see where it goes. On her day off, on Saturday, I had her schedule a get-to-know-you date to get coffee and talk. Two small talks in, those were the only interactions, and he leaves "after receiving too many mean or mischievous interactions."

The other sim did show up on the date with the embarrassed emotion.  I invited him back over (not on a date initially), used the "calm emotions" interaction she received from the Parenthood pack when she aged up to a young adult, and then started the date again; it went fine.  The cause may be the dates showing up in a bad mood.
