Hi everyone, This thread has been created to gather data from players who report the absence of previously owned or recently bought Games/DLCs in their EA app Library starting from January/February 2024 (or before). If you are experiencing this issue, please ensure the following: Verify that you are logging into the EA app with the correct EA account - the one that contains your games. After manually checking some of your reports (which we don't typically do via forums), we've noticed several instances of players reporting this problem with empty EA accounts. As such, please respond to this thread using your primary EA account (the one you believe your games are registered to). Check your Order History - Try to locate your games, if purchased through our EA.com website or the EA app (formerly Origin), on your Order History page (access it here). If you sign into your EA account on the Order History page, apply filters for All Status and All Timeframes, and still see nothing, you may be using the incorrect EA account. Do or did you have EA Play? - If you had EA Play and claimed games that are now missing or returning a "You don't have access" error, ensure that your EA Play subscription is active. Note that this error can also occur in the EA app if you are attempting to launch an EA game via Steam or Epic while logged into the EA app with the incorrect account (one not linked to your Steam or Epic persona). If you've checked all of the above and still can't see your EA games in the EA app, consider performing an EA app Recovery (clear cache) to see if that resolves the issue. If the problem persists, please reply to this thread with the following information: Your EA ID/Username, The names of the missing games (please just name a handful), The date when this issue first started, Your current EA app version (find out here), Your EA app Error Reporter ID (provide it in this thread). Yesterday I wanted to play one of my old favorite games, C&C Generals. I knew it was not installed, so I prepared for a bit of download time before I could play. Oh how I was wrong... To my surprise the Origin app had been replaced by the sparkling new "EA app". Not only a new app, but a requirement to play anything EA branded. And what about Origin? It will be uninstalled weather you like it or not. So I thought to myself "OK, how bad can it be?" The EA app was installed and Origin uninstalled by itself right after. I found my game in the library and started the download. Some GB's and a long wait later, the EA app tells me that my game is ready to launch, finally! But no... The first thing that hit me is a popup, asking for permission elevation: THIS GAME REQUIRES PERMISSIONS This game requires administrative privileges. Do you want to grant access and launch the game? (OK/Cancel) So I click OK, reluctantly. And then I'm hit with another popup, with the dreadful words: FAILED TO LAUNCH GAME An error on our end caused the launch to fail. Try again a little later. Error on you end, could you be anymore vague? So what do I do next? The basics: Restart the app Restart the computer Clear cache (app recovery) Check Windows event logs Nope, still the same dreadful popup at launch. So I hit Google up for some answers, and find a 58 pages long thread for the same damn problem, still not resolved... But I still try everything that has been suggested: Uninstall Game Uninstall EA app Remove RegKeys Update GPU drivers Re-install EA app Re-install Game Launch EA app as Admin Launch Game EXE as Admin Right click EA app EXE file -> Combability -> Run this program as Administrator Right click Game EXE file -> Combability -> Run this program as Administrator Add Game EXE to Windows firewall Nothing works. So I think to myself that it might just be this one game having issues. Lets try something else. Red Alert 2 is still fun for a few hours... So some GB's and a long wait later, the EA app tells me that my game is ready to launch... You beat me to it, didn't you? Yeah... FAILED TO LAUNCH GAME An error on our end caused the launch to fail. Try again a little later. So I do the only thing one can do... I spam the EA error reporter not choosing my words carefully, and wait until the next day. I mean the popup did say "Try again a little later". So here I am, the next day and my games still will not launch. I used to play sims with origin on my computer. I had to change the hard drive and now o cant install ea app. It say to upgrade to windows 7 x64 or better. I have windows 10 and is up to date.. I can't launch it, so why does it matter? I should be allowed to play a not updated game if I want. I paid for it! What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Do you seriously need me to list all of them? It's a general problem that I am fairly sure applies to all games at this point. Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Log in to the EA App, make sure to check "keep me logged in" Have your Internet provider have issues, or go into the woods. Point is, you don't have access to the Internet on your computer What happens when the bug occurs? The app sends me on an impossible goose hunt after login credentials on the online servers, and will not let me launch the game unless I travel to a house with Internet, carrying my stationary computer with me. Sometimes the reason is it needs me to log out and log in again, but online. Sometimes my "game license" has expired. When it went to "we corrupted your game files" I gave up and shut the damn machine off. What do you expect to see? A play button, or a way to launch my game, without needing an Internet connection. This always worked with origin. Please give us origin back as an option! This new app does not work! Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. Hi EA Team, I am reporting I faced an important error when I played FC25 and I wish I can get my Toty Renard card back. The thing was I got this card from 88+ 4pick1 pack(120,000coins) yesterday around 11pm(GMT+8), However, the pick automatically locked into rare gold card(Endler) which I never locked in with square button. would you please check on this error? It was first Toty card I drew since Fifa 18, but it was ruined . This has happened countless times. I don't have any anti-virus programs installed. The EA app is installed on an Administrator account. I'm using Windows 11 Pro. Is this a registry issue? I've ran registry checks multiple times before and this issue has never been fixed.
