Battlefield 6 is very nice and has created a very different ambiance but as I mentioned in the title I definitely think that the solo co-op mode should come and be like in 2042 because the game is very fast paced and not everyone has the opportunity to play for hours. They may have work or they may not have the time, but when you enter the game after work you play for 1 or 2 hours but you constantly die. Naturally there is almost no opportunity to use or learn or improve yourself in weapon stages or other tank and plane stages. This is the issue; a solo co-op mode with bots like in 2042 should definitely come. There may be people who do not agree with me, but rest assured, there are many people who want this. After all, this is a game and we come here to have fun, so just like in 2042, anyone can play pvp or pve, and I think we have the right to do so.1.9KViews52likes26CommentsThe General state of Battlefield 6 (2042 1.2)
I'm going to start of with making it clear that I totally understand what you're trying to achieve with this game, something for the masses right. In that sense you have actually succeeded, Battlefield 6 is a multiplayer game that feels like playing a single player game against bots on hardcore. That is not a succes, even though you've managed to trick alot of people into buying it which makes you and your investors happy, right. You've have also managed to create the most toxic environment in a FPS game that I've ever experienced in my 37 years. DICE the once great studio has become the only living organism that evolves backwards, that's unique. I would be ok with this game if it was the 2042 beta. I mean it's the same build just without flying squirrels. It has the same bugs, the same weird gunplay and the same weird art style. That game released 4 years ago and they still haven't figured it out. That makes me certain it ain't going to happen, why? Because they don't care, that's today's climate.. it's literally the same bugs, the same issues over and over again, every single launch since BFV. Like wth is actually going on? Before anyone sais it is a skill issue let me say this. I've been playing battlefield since 1942 I consistently drop 30-50 kills in older titles like BF1 and BF4 (today), always PTFO. I've been playing FPS games since OG Doom so I know how to set up my games and hardware properly. The only way to get kills in this game is to sit still and wait for enemies to run in to you. So incredibly cheesy. Battlefield is an objective based game except for as far as I know one mode that is tdm. The issue is that almost every attachment, map design and general mechanic is based on a stationary play style. Every map has 10-15 cupboard, cracks or crevasses that creates an equal amount of angles to camp an objective. Not even top tier green berets would accept a mission with those odds. So this game that evolves around pushing and capturing objectives is catered towards camping unpushable angles. This literally kills the flow of the gameplay while catering a slow and toxic style of gameplay. It doesn't matter if I utilise every attachment and ability that makes you less visible on the map, as soon as you fire your weapon you're getting beemed from 3+ angles that are impossible to cover and most often even get to. There's hundreds of 3 sqft rooms that are literally unpushable and every single on of them has a little Timmy in them hardscoping the objective or you dead body waiting for you to get revived so he can get an extra kill. You can't even see these players due to the incredibly messy art style and over saturated colour palet. The outcome of all this is that you have to play the game like a tactical mil sim which it isn't. Battlefield is a arcade shooter. Conclusion, you've successfully killed the Battlefield experience. The points system in BF6 is clearly based on kills. Top of the board is always held by the players who sit back and camp for kills and don't even touch an objective during the whole round. I've captured 10 flags, around 25 kills with a 4.0 K/D, 30 revives and still have like 4000-5000 points at the bottom of the scoreboard. This is an OBJECTIVE BASED game. Please get that through your head, all of you cod devs that's been working on this game. It's about map controll and team play, NOT farming kills. The implementation of breakthrough in this game has to be one of the worst game modes I've ever played in a FPS game. The map design is incredibly bad. There's either a 30m choke point or a 270° high ground overlooking the objective. Attackers have a hundred angels and there's no way to defend the objective. That means that 20 snipers with the cheesy range finder instantly beems you if you take one single step outside of cover. This map design has to deliberately designed to be horrendous. + Gauntlet is a fun a refreshing game mode. The general performance is good(was before 1.1.3.0) Escalation is a great game mode with lots of potential - Cheating is rampant, that is a fact. The game dismantles lobbies and parties every other round. The vaulting is totally random. You can't vault over multiple different assets even though they're not higher than the top of your head. The spawn system is generally weird. Most of the times you spawn in with your back against the enemies or back against attack direction. You spawn in in front of tanks, players etc in their direct line of fire when they're firing. Damage model on tanks vs tank is not fitting for the map design. It's almost impossible to flank and get shots in from behind unless someone makes a mistake due to the narrow map size. You spend round after round with almost zero effect, especially if someone is repairing. It makes the vehicle gameplay dull and generic. "God ping" is still a thing and always has been, at least since BF1. If you have between 70-100 ping you literally become a terminator. This means that playing on non local servers makes you a god and this has been abused for as far as I know. This needs to be addressed in the net code. You shouldn't be rewarded for playing on servers outside of your region imho. A lot of challenges doesn't track after 1.1.2.0, one is deadeye 2. Weapon balancing is incredibly off. The best snipers in the game are sub machine guns. The capture zones in conquest are way to small. One IFV or attack heli can clear an objective without aiming due to the crazy splash damage. This is another thing that caterers toward camping. When the capture zones are to small all people do is to sit just outside the boundary and hardscope whatever angle they're holding. This also means that you're getting punished and loose points for actually clearing the objective since you have to go outside the minimal capture zone to do so. The option is to sit like a duck in a pond getting beemed from multiple players hiding in a cupboard just outside the zone. This is such an incredibly poor design choice on your part. The hit reg PC-console is sometimes non existent and every other bullet is a ghost. The desynchronization is horrible. New type of crash since patch 1.1.2.0. randomly crashes mid game to black screen "Direct X function GetDeviceRemovedReadon". I have the latest driver installed. The gunplay is a lottery. Whatever you did in patch 1.1.2.0 your now getting killed in half a frame, doesn't matter if it's from 10 yards or across the map. Something is definitely wrong after the patch. Example: today me and two of my squadmates was shooting on an enemie 3m away he took zero damage and killed us all in a frame or two. Our bullets magically disappeared when encountering this terminator. We where all talking on discord and died exactly the same time. He might have been cheating but there's definitely more to this than cheating. TTK and TTD are light-years away from eachother. TTD is way to fast. I've seen people mentioning that cross play makes it worse. Solution: turn crossplay off on PC with the console command. GstGameplay.CrossPlayEnable 0 Or put the exact same command into Documents-Battlefield6-Settings. (Steam folder of your game is installed on that platform) Open PROFSAVE_profile and paste. This will turn of crossplay on PC and the TTD issue is gone. The game is actually quite enjoyable now. Fast paced but the damage isn't delivered in one frame. Auto spotting shouldn't be a thing because it greatly prohibits the ability to move around the map and push objectives. All you have to do is to drag your cross hair across the screen with zero effort and spot enemies. Another mechanic that rewards campers and punishes player that actually pushes objectives. Return spotting to what it was in BF1, pushing a button isn't that hard and at least take some kind of skill and effort. The lobbys dismantling after every round is also something that totally ruins the game. When you finally find a server that isn't filled with little Timmy's you can't choose to stay in it and it has exactly the same effect as the older "team balancing" function. There's always one team steamrolling the other. I know that there's a small prompt that asks if you want to stay with the squad but it's placed in a bad spot and is hard to see. The fact that the game dismantles full lobbies just to fill them up with bots is hilarious. I get that you've sold the AI programming to some contractor but it ruins the game. Turning of crossplay on PC puts you in bot lobbies even though there's ten thousand players online in my region and on my platform. The dismantling of lobbies also messes with the map rotation and that makes the game generic, especially now when there's a limited number of maps. There's currently 200.000 PC players on steam alone and I still get lobbies with 75% bots. The sensitivity and mouse feel is totally different depending on what game mode your playing and sometimes changes from round to round. Every time I start a new round I get to play the same map. My PC reebots every now and then mid round(many people have this issue). I've been running hardware monitor and the logs shows nothing out of the ordinary. CPU max 60° and GPU 70°. Every now and again when you quit a round you just get a black screen and have to force exit the game. Someone sat on the saturation button before releasing the California map so it looks like Fortnite. The directional audio is almost non existent. I have a Logitech Pro X headset and have tried multiple settings, eqs and all variations in game. 70 ton tanks can literally roll up on you without a single sound. But if you're driving a tank you hear footsteps loud and clear, super weird. The only way to actually hear footsteps in this game is to crank up the volume so loud that it hurts my ears. Thanks and vehicles are still muffled though. Footstep audio is also non existent. The visibility is really bad, if you dont have a $6-7k PC. With or without SOVIS) Its almost impossible to spot enemies that are more than 50-60 meters away. The color pallet makes everything blend together like a blurr. No outlines, no shadows, nothing. And yes I've played around with the settings for 20h now. No server browser even though that has been a standing topic since forever. The challenges forces you to play in weird ways that has nothing to do with the class in question. The challenges also forces you to rely on teammates in many cases and that makes them almost impossible to finish. I played 30+ hours to complete the mission when you have to use the "trophy system". The challenges forces you to play some new game mode that no one has asked for and that has nothing to do with battlefield. The options menu is flooded with settings but not the settings you actually want to change. Just going through the menus is a hassle since they are so incredibly overworked and cluttered with excessive information. Why even put that much time into something that has minimal impact on the game? Unless you make something that should be simple and clear incredibly advanced and messy. Then it makes you experience worse. Why? It's not reasonable looking at it from any perspective. Cost, time, consumer experience... The net code is way off, hit reg is a pure lottery. Constantly getting killed 10ft around corners even though you dodge the incoming damage instantly. Playing against console players on PC is like playing against someone that uses WH and Aimbot. The movement bugs are game breaking. People jumping and bouncing across your screen all the time.. Almost every attachment punishes ADS movement but shooting whilst bunny jumping, flying through the air or sliding is considered good for gameplay? The rooftops that you can't access from the ground need to be out of bounds since camping is already rampant. Everytime you want to get to someone on a rooftops you have to waste a helo which is incredibly stupid. There's has to be more alternatives to push unreachable spaces. The attack helicopters take zero skill and mow down infantry in half a frame. You can hoover so far up in the sky that you can't even lock on to them and one frame kill infantry. They've practically ruined sniping with one simple tool(range finder when bound to add button)that takes away every skill element needed. There's yellow dots infesting the whole menu showing you there's new unlocks but when you've clicked 13 buttons to get there there's nothing, but the yellow dot is still present of course (this is 100% something carried over by a former cod dev). You unlock stuff that can be used for all weapons but you can't open locked weapons to remove the yellow marker. Settings randomly resets each time you start the game. One is the sovis filter which is incredibly irritating since you can't spot enemies when it's off. Another is menu narration which is just as annoying. All keybinds have been reset after installing the latest "patch" 1.1.2.0 1.1.3.0 You still can't hear footsteps and tanks. Except when you're dead, then footsteps magically appears and are crystal clear. Even gunfire and RPGs can't be heard from time to time post patch. The audio that can be heard is all over the place, there's literally no directional audio in this FPS game made in 2025. Doesn't matter if I use 3D headphones or whatever setting. Every time I manage to hear let's say a helicopter I find myself spinning around in circles trying to locate it but it's impossible until you see it fly by. If you're lucky it's friendly. I guess my $200 5.1 headsets isn't good enough.. BF6 winning best audio at game awards has to be the funniest thing I've heard this year trollolol!! How much did EA pay to get that award? Seriously? The soldier visibility is literally worse than before. You can tell that you're getting shot from somewhere but it's impossible to tell from where. If you manage to trace a tracer and you aim directly at it you see nothing. Then you get shot and the marker appears exactly on the spot you aimed at and apparently there was a player right there. Blending in like the predator himself. The option to limit FPS in menu also limits the FPS whilst in the firing range which is incredibly annoying. The menu buggs out completely from time to time which makes it impossible to choose a game mode and get into a game. Whatever you adjusted in the net code generated even more ghost bullets. The desync is now horrible across the board. You're dead before you can see that the enemy has raised their weapon. From my view it's still pointing at the ground. Sometimes you see bullets coming at you from a player looking the other way, you die and then he turns around in slow motion. Pre patch it was only when having crossplay on but now when you've removed that possibility it's impossible to enjoy the game. Hit reg PC-console is on a good day 50%, sometimes non existent. I have on multiple occasions emptied 70+ rounds from a lmg, at point blank range, into console players, standing still, without a single hit registered. Just for them to turn around and kill you in one frame. Why isn't the throwing knife a one shot kill? Especially since it is so incredibly slow to use. The game is constantly stuttering on every map. The game felt really smooth before the "patch". The game doesn't even respond to inputs. The game is super bright in all environments. The crazy bloom is back. The winter mode with the barrels has added yet another reason for people to camp on the worst maps in the game. People are literally hiding in every cupboard hardscoping the barrels and you have no choice but to go to there. 90% of the players doesn't even care about playing the objective. Combine that with capture zones that are still to small(on all maps) and you've created an environment that is even more toxic than before. This game is as of now a just a cod copy. The map design, the assets, the challenges, the corner camping, cod. It's so incredibly frustrating to play this game, a round or two and you're mentally exhausted and drained. Conclusion: you've listened to the community, tried your best and made every aspect of the game worse. -------------- Update: December 31 2025 I recently returned home from a 2 week Christmas Holliday and a 4 week pause from the game, the longest I've ever gone without playing any battlefield game, ever. 3 minutes in a I can only state the obvious, nothing has changed, absolutely nothing. Except for the fact that there's new skins in the store and that the game only responds to 50% of the inputs. Oh and the desynchronization is literally worse than horrible. fantastic! In any other professions you would be sacked if you even come close to the lack of professionalism and achievement this game mirrors. Every single thing you touch becomes dog s**t, literally every single thing. ---- The list goes on and on but I don't care to state the obvious yet another time, what I've mentioned here is just the game breaking stuff I've noticed after a couple of hours of gameplay. The streamers get paid to push the product and the consumers gulp it down. DICE is not what it once was and no matter how hard I try to enjoy this game I can't, I really really want to but I can't. This experience is not enjoyable at all. This game is just 2042 1.2 that looks a little bit better but plays just as bad and that's the point, I know it ain't going to get better because the build is fundamentally broken. You have been handed the keys to the biggest and most successful FPS franchise in human history and somehow managed to **bleep** up every single aspect of it. That is truly a feat worth saluting, hats of to all of you involved in the biggest failure in gaming history. You guys are lost and should consider a different line of work. Honestly and sincerely.1.9KViews38likes55CommentsDrivable Forklifts
Please allow the forklifts to be driven in Battlefield 6. I legitimately believe that the game will become 10x better with this addition. There are already so many amazing things in the game and the response to community feedback has been quick and on point. Id be satisfied if it was a suprise update for season one but would obviously appreciate it if they were changed sooner. Dice, please.349Views33likes14CommentsJets and helis seem terrible once again
The helis are seem obviously heavy, floaty, and extremely vulnerable to everything—stationary AA, AA tanks, Stingers, jets, even RPGs. Their weaponry is just weak, and the flight model just seems off. But as bad as helis are, jets are somehow even worse. Jets in BF6 are straight up atrocious. Sure, they can instakill other jets and maybe shoot down a heli (if you ever find one alive), but that’s literally it. The jet can’t repair itself (which might be a bug), its guns are useless against ground targets, and the laser-guided missiles are a complete joke. The bombs are totally ineffective too. The flight model is a near copy-paste of BF2042 which nobody wanted. People wanted the skill and feel of BF3 or BF4, but instead we’re stuck with another floaty, weightless mess with worthless weaponry and no effect on the battlefield. Every experienced pilot is saying a similar thing: the jets are bad, even the top players are consistently at the bottom of the scoreboard, game. If people like Silk, one of the best pilots of battlefield imo with 200+ kill games in bf4, is scoring literally last place on the scoreboard playing jets, there’s literally no hope for anyone else. I’m obviously basing all this on lots of gameplay footage and I may be making assumptions as it hasn’t launched but it’s not looking good. It’s honestly like DICE wants air combat to be a non-factor. Ever since BF2042, jets are basically just toys to let players jump in, crash in 20 seconds, and go back to running on the ground. This is not healthy for the game, and if BF6 keeps going down this road, the game is doomed to repeat 2042’s failures. We use to be excited to fly the powerhouse in bf3 and 4 felt almost like a kill streak. Now it’s a cinema and the helis are following suit.Hardcore mode issues
Im currently having 3 issues with hardcore mode that are making me want to refund the game. No vehicle optic crosshair. If you are driving a tank you only get a crosshair in the gun sight if you zoom in. If you are gunning you have no crosshair in the vehicle sight at all. Same goes for the Helicopter pilot and gunner seat except when you zoom with these vehicle optics you still get no recticle. Its impossible to know where you are aiming and I imagine this is a bug and not intentional. 2.Squad Spawn type is incorrect. When using the default hardcore portal settings that 99% of the servers are running the squad spawn type is set to Squadmates on leader, Leader None instead of Squadmates on leader, Leader All. This means if you join with a friend and they are in a tank that has an open gunner seat or a heli with an open gunner seat this is no way to spawn on them if you are SL. It keeps putting me in a squad of 2 with my one friend and there is no way for me to spawn in on him. BF3 and BF4 had Squadmates spawning on leader only and the leader could spawn on any of them. Im not sure why they made this change but it ruins the teamplay function for me. I imagine they made this change to force the assualt to act like a squad leader with the spawn beacon similar to hell let loose and rising storm 2. It should be changed back to how it was in BF3 and BF4. 3. Not able to quickly mark objectives for the squad by pressing q. You have to hold Q and use the commo rose to select it from a list, can no longer aim down the sights at the flag and just tap Q. Works fine in normal mode so I imagine its some setting in portal but I have no idea what one it is or why they did that.1.5KViews26likes14CommentsJoystick/Flight Stick Support For Aircraft?
I have noticed that since after BF4, there was no support for flight sticks. They have kept the controller or keyboard for flying only. Since the talks of BF going back to their roots of the older games, I would like to see support of Flight sticks brought back as well. Is there a possibility to bring that back as well?? Nothing like getting into a heated air combat and being able to pull some amazing maneuvers... Guest blogger ElliotLH is a member of the EA Community Superuser Program. Introduction Hi everyone, I've not seen too many guides about how to get to grips with the weapons when you're a Gunner in a vehicle, so I thought I'd throw one together. This is more of a quick-start guide rather than an in-depth analysis, but hopefully you find something useful that you can use in-game. Before anything else, the Golden Rules. Don't start randomly shooting the moment you get into a vehicle. Admittedly, I do sometimes forget this myself and tap out a few rounds to play the Battlefield theme tune, but in general, you should try to save your bullets for the enemy. Not because you'll run out before you get into the action, they're infinite after all*, but more because you're broadcasting the vehicle to every enemy nearby and more than likely causing the driver a bit of panic and/or annoyance. *Excluding RedSec. Vehicle ammo is limited in that gamemode. Be aware of your surroundings at all times. While it's incredibly fun to sit there and mow down hordes of enemies, you need to be mindful not to get tunnel vision. Your primary job as a Gunner is to protect the vehicle from any incoming threats, so you need to scan around the vehicle as much as possible, check any hiding spots, keep an eye out for mines and destroy them, and prioritise killing enemy Engineers and Recons. Usually, I just assume that anyone trying to rush or sneak up on the vehicle is likely a Recon with a load of C4 (sometimes it's an Engineer with a repair tool in a surprise twist), so I'll try to move from more distant targets and prioritise the nearest first instead. In a similar vein, keep an eye out for the EOD bot, as their mini-mines and repair tool can quickly wreck a ground vehicle. I'd recommend trying to prioritise targets in the order below: Anti-vehicle infantry within close range. C4 rushers (usually flanking or sprinting directly at you) and EOD bots. Enemy vehicles actively engaging yours. Mines in your path. General infantry. If you want the vehicle to last as long as possible, be an Engineer. Ultimately, your job as a passenger is to keep the vehicle fighting fit. The best way to do this is to make sure you've spawned as an Engineer, as you can simply hop out of a ground vehicle or change seats in a helicopter to use your repair tool. You can also help in vehicle fights by sending a few rockets towards the enemy. Engineer also has a class perk where they will passively repair a vehicle from inside, which can obviously be incredibly helpful. I have this set on a custom loadout that I switch to if I intend on being a Gunner, and use it along with the vehicle supply crate. Communication Tips Communication is key when you're controlling a vehicle, and a crew working effectively together can be unstoppable on the battlefield. There are a variety of ways to communicate with the driver or pilot, although it is admittedly easier to do when you're playing with friends rather than solo, since there's no proximity chat in vehicles. The tips below should give you some basic ways of communicating with drivers and pilots, even if you're not able to speak with them over mic. Call out and spot mines before the driver advances if you can't shoot them. Spot or call out enemy vehicles and infantry (spotting is RB on controller or Q on PC). Confirm when a target is painted. Let the pilot know when you’ve locked a missile. Tell the driver or pilot when you’re overheating. Instruct the driver to reposition if necessary. Use the ping system if the driver or pilot is in your squad. Ask for nose alignment in helicopters to improve accuracy. Use text chat for tactical advice or requests if using a mic isn't possible. Remember that if the driver is in your squad but you don't know if they're wearing a headset, keep speaking to them. They should still be able to hear you through their speakers. So, on to the weapons and equipment. MBT, IFV and ATP The MBT, IFV, and ATP all have three flavours of Gunner remote weapons to choose from, one of which the driver will have pre-selected for you in their loadout. Light Machine Gun: This gun is fantastic at close-to-mid range, but loses out a bit when it comes to longer ranges. It's fast-firing and will shred infantry up close, so it's ideal if you're the Gunner for an aggressive driver who is attacking objectives. It has a decent overheating time, so you can spray a little bit with it, but I find it works best in bursts, so you can keep firing for as long as possible. The LMG will also do damage to light vehicles, like the Light Transport, but not as much as the HMG. Heavy Machine Gun: The HMG is great for picking off infantry from longer ranges. It's a slower-firing but accurate weapon, so it's handy when the driver is playing with a bit of distance. It's also pretty effective against unarmoured vehicles. You'll need to be fairly accurate as it does overheat quite quickly, but it's powerful when you're hitting your targets. I find this weapon particularly helpful in Breakthrough as the battle lines are a bit more static, so drivers often hang back for pushes. Grenade Launcher: This one is a bit more situational, and you might find it works better in some gamemodes over others. Basically, it's an automatic grenade launcher that will lob grenades over a fairly impressive distance. The launcher is definitely better up close than at a distance due to weapon accuracy, but it can be devastating in the right situations. This is another weapon that is probably better in Breakthrough rather than Conquest, as it works very well at close range and can also be effective at harassing enemy infantry on the capture point. Countermeasures: This is a really helpful bit of equipment that will detect nearby mines and C4 and destroy them when activated. It's available on the MBT and ATP, and if the driver has it selected, you'll see a prompt on-screen when mines or C4 are detected. When you press the corresponding button (left D-Pad for controller and 3 for PC), you should safely detonate the explosives before they become a threat. Target Designator: The Target Designator is available on the IFV and will let you paint a target for the driver. It's great for drawing their attention to enemy vehicles, and is a big help for the driver too, as they can keep on target easily when trying to deal with the enemy vehicle with all the chaos going on around them. Since the Target Designator is a default piece of kit on the IFV, you can use it in conjunction with the secondary piece of equipment, the Smoke Wall. If you want to activate it, simply press Y/Triangle on your controller or the 2 key if you're on PC. Use the left trigger on your controller or ADS key on PC to zoom in, and then hold the right trigger or the fire button on PC to paint the target. Smoke Wall: Available on both the MBT and IFV, this will let you launch smoke grenades to create a cloud around the tank. It's great for providing cover when attacking a point or when the vehicle is being repaired in the middle of battle, so don't be afraid to use it. The smoke wall is default equipment for the Gunner in the IFV and can be used along with the Target Designator. You can activate the smoke wall simply by pressing the right D-Pad button on your controller or 3 key on PC. Light Transport The Light Transport comes equipped with a mounted Heavy Machine Gun and can quite often prove effective when used on the move with hit-and-run tactics. Personally, I wouldn't try to use it for long when the vehicle is static, since the operator is exposed and can be killed very easily, but you can still get an impressive kill-streak sitting when you're fighting less observant enemies. Other passengers can also use their primary weapons from the comfort of their seats. (Image provided by EIGuimaraes). Attack Helicopter The Gunner weapons in the Attack Helicopter can't be changed as they can with the ground vehicles, so you'll only have access to two. They are incredibly effective, though. - Autocannon: The Autocannon is brilliant at dealing with infantry. Especially if they're clustered up on a point. Aiming can be a bit challenging at times, depending on what manoeuvres the pilot is having to make, but if you try to be accurate, you'll wipe any enemies out in seconds. The Autocannon is pretty effective at dealing with vehicles, too, and if you're working in tandem with the pilot, you should take them down quickly. - Lock/Aim-Guided: This is a missile that can be guided to a target with your cursor. It's effective against both air and ground targets, but can be a bit tricky to use if the pilot is taking evasive action. The missile can also lock on to targets, so keep an eye out for target boxes appearing on your screen. It's advisable to keep your view facing towards the front of the helicopter, to give you a good idea of what the pilot is aiming at and allow you to send your rocket towards the same target. Transport Helicopter You'll only be able to use the mounted Miniguns on the Transport Helicopter. They're best used against other enemy aircraft, but they can also be effective against infantry as well. If you're fighting long range, then you might find that you need to lead your shots more, or fire in bursts to avoid overheating and to maintain accuracy. Up close, though, they should take down most targets efficiently. It's also best to ensure that you're aiming when the nose is pointing. This way, you'll need to compensate less when shooting, and you'll also be fully aware of what the pilot is seeing. Scout Helicopter There aren't any weapons available to the Gunner in this little helicopter, although it does offer some handy equipment that you can use instead. Thermal Scanner: This allows you to use an infrared scanner to spot enemies for your team. When activated, there will be a bar in the centre of your screen to show how much charge is remaining. It'll recharge passively when not activated, and it's great for quickly picking out targets when the pilot is making attack runs. You can activate the Thermal Scanner by holding down the right trigger on your controller or the fire key on PC. Also, you can zoom in by holding the left trigger or ADS button for PC. Target Designator: This is the same piece of equipment that is on the IFV, and will let you lock onto and paint vehicles to make it easier for your teammates to lock onto and take down. Directional Jammer: The Jammer is particularly helpful for keeping the helicopter safe from being locked onto by enemies. You'll need to be mindful that it will overheat from extended use, so ensure you use it efficiently. To activate the Directional Jammer, press the right-D Pad on your controller or 2 key on PC, aim at vehicles, and press the fire button. Common Mistakes Nobody is perfect, and you will make mistakes as a Gunner at some point. However, there are some very simple ways for you to minimise potential errors. Keep these basic things in mind, and you will keep the vehicle alive as long as possible. Firing randomly reveals your position. Avoid tunnel vision on one lane. Don't ignore the rear of the vehicle. Don't stay in the gunner seat when the vehicle is critical; instead, repair it. Try not to focus on farming kills instead of eliminating clear anti-vehicle threats. Communicate with the Driver if you can. If the driver or pilot leaves the vehicle to repair it*, don't immediately hop to their seat. Protect them while they repair, instead, or take over repair duties from them. *This is highly situational, and the driver or pilot should not be leaving the vehicle unless they've returned to base. Doing so risks the enemy stealing the vehicle, so it's absolutely better for them to go down with it. Quick Driver Decisions While I recommend playing around with all of the weapons and equipment available to find what works best for your own vehicles, at first glance, it can be difficult to get an idea for setups for specific situations or gamemodes. The suggestions below should help quickly get you up and running with some simple setups for your own Gunners when you're a Driver. Aggressive driver pushing objectives → LMG. Defensive or long-range driver → HMG. Breakthrough or Rush → Grenade Launcher. Enemy team running light vehicles → HMG. Close-quarters pressure on capture point or clearing buildings → Grenade Launcher. That brings this guide to a close. I hope that you found it useful and feel more confident in being the best Gunner possible. Also, if anyone has any tips that they'd like to share, don't be shy. Feel welcome to post them in the comments. See you on the Battlefield – as always, if you kill me, please don’t forget to t-bag me! Thank you, EIGuimaraes, EA_Leeuw, EA_Rtas, and EA_Failroader, for the feedback, suggestions, and encouragement. I really appreciated all of your help and guidance.

So we've seen the multiplayer reveal, and have experienced Battlefield 6 for ourselves through the open beta. Let's have the discussion on which mechanics you liked and which not, and also from previous titles what you would like to see return in Battlefield 6 and what absolutely not? Here's my list. Interested to see what others think. Dear Developers I’m begging you — please stop creating colorful and unrealistic skins. By doing this, you’re slowly ruining what has so far been an amazing and immersive game. Battlefield has always stood out for its authenticity, atmosphere, and realism. These bright, fantasy-style cosmetics completely break that immersion. Please, listen to your community instead of chasing short-term profits. In the long run, this path will only hurt the game and drive loyal players away Only realistic skins, please. You are already starting to lose the trust of your community — don’t let that happen Respectfully, A passionate Battlefield player451Views21likes13Comments
