Overtime clock suggestion
Been thinking about this for a while and would like to put a suggestion forward: I would like to have an option for the overtime period length to be real-time, rather than prorated to the regulation period length. Basically overtime kind of sucks because I want the 3 on 3 hockey, but it feels like it goes by wayyyy too quickly and then I have to deal with a shootout which kind of kills the vibe. To build on this, I think it would be awesome to be able to make your own overtime rules. Something like: Overtime Skaters: 3<->4<->5 Overtime Period length: same options as regulation period length Overtime Period Amount: 1 (like the regular season, after the period ends, moves on to a shootout or ends the game in a tie)<->Unlimited (like playoff overtime rules) Shootout: ON<->OFF Gameclock style: Real-Time (clock starts at selected period length and counts down in real time) <-> Accelerated (current gameclock behaviour) Would also be cool to have a non-sudden death overtime option, like how it works in basketball or baseball, where the full period is played out regardless of if there's a goal scored or not. I understand that thies changes probably wouldn't be very high priority, but would really enhance the overtime experience, for me at least.
Objective vs Game play.
I have inquired a few times in past texts as to why there is no definitive meaning to the word HIT in this game. Hit vs body check. What is the difference? Is not a body check considered a hit. In game stats you have hits. You get an objective calling for body checks. After the game. The objective shows 7. The game stat shows 0. A check is the impediment of an opposing players motion by body contact. A hit. Is considered in that same description. The severity may differ, but the outcome is the same. Body contact.
This worst hut ever.
And now im telling you why. Overall and ability boost are joke. Why if you played theme team (senators, pinguins, kings etc) very hard to get those boosts? Why you can combo those ovr boosts? Very fun play when i have other life too when my best players ovr 86 and my opponent 92 when he use broken +6 overall boost. Salary boosts out of the game as quickly as possible. Who enjoy when you team cap 80 million and opponent 120? Master set players too easy do. I'm free to play player and i can do every promo 2-3 msp cards. I think my older nhl games hut teams and i have max 1 master set player per promo if that too. And lastly fix the menus and gameplay. Menu slowest years and gameplay awful. Pokecheck too weak, goalies worst ever, how they save A+ chance close to goal but dont save bug goal or blue line slapshot? And why this game removed penalties? If you don't hit from behind or pokecheck puck from behind, you'll almost never see powerplays or powerkills this game. And lastly this things say veteran hut player whose first NHL game was nhl15, so i know really good how play this game and how hut works. Please do something positive hut developing group.

Why is my friends in “Ea connect” showing was online likie, for example 2days ago, but clearly it isnt true i just played with them like 10minutes or 2h ago. Why there is false information on this ? And can you make friends activity more visible, for example when i have online friends. So i could see what exactly are they doing. Are they in lobby/matchmaking or in the game(actually playing)
Problems
Why is it this franchise continues to create disruptions and overall annoyance regarding game play. My current dilemma is, trying to get into Cup Chase. Keep getting an error msg. Unable to retrieve data at this time. Please try again later. Two days now. And still no resolve. Network connection is fine, no problems. So! Once again the problem lies at the feet of EA. If anyone else has or has experienced this problem, and have found a resolve. Would appreciate your feedback.Be a pro mode, a patch is needed
Hello everyone. When will the patch for the "Be a Pro" mode be released? Guys, developers, with all due respect, a rookie can't score at least 1,2 points in every match while being in the 3rd or 4th line. Do you even watch real hockey? Have you seen any rookie recently performing on the level of Crosby or Ovechkin? So, where do these expectations come from? You won't get out of the AHL! What's the Calder Trophy doing here?! You've turned the enjoyment of the game into, excuse me, grinding and loss of nerve cells! Additionally, where's the proper calendar, information about injuries, how to play as a defender, add transfer information, there are no new animations except for the first match, why is my AI so dumb?! Can we please have an update this week since all the teams have played and several have worn a new jersey introduced this year. The October 6 update looks to have nothing but a Kaprizov contract update. Almost every team has prospects that have now played and are not even in the game. Problem here is a lot of these guys are important to their team, and not having them sometime before November really makes this game quite unrealistic and for some unplayable.Montreal Canadiens Needs a roster update.
Hello, EA. you need to update Montreal's roster.... I encourage other teams fan bases to make similar posts. there are multiple prospects you are missing, including Jacob Fowler who has played 11 AHL games, as well as Alexander Zharovsky, I understand getting access to Russian players is difficult but I'm paying 90+$ CAD to have the latest NHL game I would expect all drafted players in the 2025 NHL draft would be included at launch. Notes: I Believe Jacob Fowler should be a franchise low with Show Stopper and Post to Post and, Alexander Zharovsky should be a elite low with ankle breaker All-Star and tape to tapeEvaluation
The contention I have with this game. And I direct it mainly at Hut and Franchise modes. Is. There is is no parallel to game play. The offensive mode of AI has now become more overbearing compared to the defensive mode. The stick checks and poke checks are less effective as compared to the AI, which seems to constantly be knocking pucks off my players sticks. The checking. Once again. Trying to line up a solid heat on an AI player, is next to impossible at times, do to the AI perceiving the moves of your player. And once again. The AI players dominate the checking game. And the speed is definitely altered in favour of the AI. No one can tell me otherwise. I have numerous times watched my superior speed players be tracked down by AI players of lesser speed ratings. This game at one time use to have an overall balance to it. But with all these new injections into the game. That value is lost. EA is constantly changing aspects of the game that worked. And then tried to enhance on it. But 9 times out of 10, they make it worse. The face-off draw back use to always fall back to one of your defensive player's. Now its a toss up as to whether it does or not. 24 I didn't mind. 25 became worse. And now 26 tops the garbage list. EA try to put quality as your main focus, rather than monetary return as your main concern.Allowing Edits in Franchise mode
I’ve bought every NHL game since 2005, but this is the first year I’m not doing it. Franchise mode just feels lifeless when you can’t actually control anything. Not being able to edit players is a huge miss — Madden, NBA, and MLB all let you do it, and it makes their franchise modes way more immersive and personal. I honestly don’t get why EA has never even addressed this. It’s not some crazy ask; it’s a feature that’s been standard in every other sports game for years.
