I can't prove it but im almost positive the OP wants every single plant nerfed and electrobrainz to be left alone and maybe buffed.

Most played?
Jesus.
Every fkn time with those Plasma and Agent Peashooters and you complain Toxic which no one playes because is useless variant? He's just easy to use for noobs.seriously gtfo
- Toxic Pea is useful against chokes and small rooms, makes them have to back out more.

"He is so broken that I managed to get top score "
the scoreboard means nothing, just you get a lots of kills by the way since scoreboard only rewards that. It doesnt even counter how much damage you dealed before taking the kills, and with character with dots (fire and toxic overall) he's not that hard to tak underserved kills eh.second. consider this, consider most of your assist come from a useless toxic dot (so no strong fire, no strong cc, no strong tankyness) YOUR JOB IS KILLING AND DOING DAMAGE.
Aappearing in top of scoreboard with a character that ONLY deals damage and is meant only for taking kills in a game that rewards that.. well you just did your job.
I never appear in top of scoreboard with Citron, mostly because i get tons of assist, but doesn't necessary means i ddnt carry the match or i ddnt carry a toxic peashooter in top of scoreboard, my character offers many ways to carry a match.
What toxic peashooter can do? only damage.
And besides that i strongly disagree, toxic post patch will be surclasses by electro. Fire peashooter with a decent aim is already better than pea, which basically only requires low skill flow and is good to getting carryed. Regular peashooter is way better. No toxic dots.. so? But the direct damage makes you survive much more at scientists and s.brainz.
Also sorry, i ddn't play the first game, maybe he was op there and you hate him, but no-one abuse him that much at this game afaik, the most used one is plasma :v - Anonymous10 years ago
Pretty sure his rate of fire is the exact same as the regular pea shooter.
And he is far from weak to snipers, as you can just shoot shots in their general direction while in too much cover for them to attack you, and you'll slowly widdle them down with absolutely no potential of counterplay.

What's this even supposed to mean?
And agent pea is another story for another time, not this thread.

The DPS is signifigantly lower than direct hitting, so no it's not easy to get all the last hits with him. You deal aprox half the damage to most your targets. In fact, i'd say he deals more damage than he gets in kills due to the stupid amount of opponents he has poisoned all the time.
In what way can a Citron carry someone else to the top of the scoreboard? He tanks some damage and thats it. You dont even get that few points from assists anyways.
Toxic pea far outclasses fire pea in any match with a significant amount of players. Only slightly less DoT damage for an AOE size as large as the sombrero bean bomb. The regular peashooter is only better in 1v1 confrontations when you don't have your hyper up, and even then the toxic pea can be better if your aim sucks.
I've seen a total of 1 plasma in my current 50 hours of playing this. Seen at least, without exception, 1 plasma pea every single match. Do you only play team vanquish or something?

the annoyance of the toxic pea is like the annoyance of a camping camo cactus there there for a reason. if you have played gw1 on his first outing the gw2 version is a mere * cat than the lion he originally was.
i mainly play turf takeover but the amount of spammer peas (plasma) on hyper are the cheap threat to any zombie no aim needed just spam the trigger till the opponent dies.
Absolutely not. While everybody was playing Agent Pea in GW1, I loved the Toxic Pea based upon I could damage multiple players instead of killing one at a time with Agent.
Toxic Pea is the way that he is and I wouldn't want him to be nerfed.

As if someone who constantly abuses a character has any say whatsoever in an argument about whether he's overpowered or not.
TIP: You don't. Unless you actually come with good arguments of course, which you haven't. All you've said is that you like abusing him.
How here ur monthly unwarranted toxic pea complain thread.
I don't even know what is your problem with toxic pea. You said it yourself that he actually have a worse DPS then basic peashooter at DPS. And basic didn't have a great DPS neither to begin with.
Toxic pea just do that he always have done, being annoying a * by spreading toxic DOT with his huge splash. But not actually being any tough to deal with if you go out of your way to get rib of him. Especially if you gain higher ground,in which his amazing splash mean jack * if he can't even hit them. And even then 10 damage splash is weak. 10 DOT over 5 second is also weak.
All at all,he's just the closest thing in GW2 to a clutch character. And thus don't need any change because of that.

Yet the regular pea shooter is balanced.
And there is no such thing as avoiding toxic pea's shots. Even if you do go on the roof, he can just shoot a nearby wall or an edge and it'll hit you.

Who care if it only a 10 damage splash. Or just a one damage splash at the end of it which only exist to reapply the DOT.

If you can't hit them back, then that 14 or so DPS matters a lot.
And you can't hit them back, because they can just hyper or run for cover while shooting.
Toxic pea is just fine as he is, if you can't get away from his dot then you need to MOVE or kill him.

This guy really hates toxic pea. Maybe we should nerf Toxic Pea just to make him less ornery?
I don't have a problem when others use the toxic pea and there are tons of players who utility his advantage splash damage ability. But I ain't a dumb player, I know to avoid getting hit or I kill him. If you've seen mine past posts, I have never complained about Electro Brainz either. When the other team has Electro Brainz(s), I just avoid being in groups with my teammates. And if I want to take out Brainz, I re-position myself to snipe him. What's so hard of a concept is that? Sheesh. Every character I have played in GW2, I have over at least 1.5 ratio player vanquish. It seems like I'm doing something right.
Oh BTW, I ain't abusing his abilities. Toxic Pea was like this from the beginning in GW1. He never got nerfed in that game. Let's admit that you can't play him.
- Anonymous10 years agoCharacters like this are new player friendly and if your aim stinks you can still have good time with as you can apply some pressure and get a few vanquishes. I do well with toxic pea, but I can aim, so I do even better with fire pea or ice pea or plasma or agent or even rock. Almost every variant is better if you can aim and lead targets.
Really doesn't need a nerf and if your seeing a higher representation of toxic pea it's more then likely because they're are alot of either newer players using him or alot of bad aimers. - Anonymous10 years ago

around 20 extra vanquishes per match, just a few right?

Except electro brainz REQUIRES for you to be close to a teammate, toxic pea can just abuse that massive AOE wherever he wants. And nobody who loves a character has anything against other people playing them, because they have a certain mindset that counters it.
Yes toxic pea did only get 1 nerf (like 2 less damage on direct hits), but how does that argument in your favor? Aren't you only proving that i'm right by saying that? And where did you get that I couldn't play him?
The toxic pea needs a splash damage size nerf because all other peas splash damage size in PVZGW2. Its not fair that the pea and fire pea got a splash damage size nerf and the toxic pea still has its powers. When I see a toxic pea I try to aim at it because its so annoying to be shot at and not be able to recover health. Toxic pea require little aiming to hit a zombie and it is overpowered if you camp out with it because you can hit people behind walls easily.
- Anonymous10 years ago@Killerboy2807 again For people who suck at aiming they will probably get a few,or in your case 20,more vanquishes. But for those of us who can aim that just isn't the case, fire pea for example is much stronger overall for anyone who doesn't require the splash radius handicap of toxic pea.

And the game shouldn't be balanced around the good players, it should be balanced around the majority.

One thing has to be taken into account is the tighter and faster paced maps does work in toxic peas favor, but I still don't think he needs a nerf.

Didn't that apply for like...Every peashooter? Heck, plasma pea do that whole "shooting while hiding in cover" way better.
Sound like you're just finding excuse in this point
