Wrong email for account

I no longer have access to my old email account anymore. It was the account I used to log in here to EA. Now I can't login to play Star Wars because I don't know the password. How can I login with my new email, and where is the option to link my EA account with my new email

To change the e-mail address, follow these steps:

    1. Go to http://www.origin.com and Sign in on the top of the page
    2. Scroll over "My Account" and Click "Privacy Settings"
    3. Then click the "About Me" Tab on the left
    4. Click "Edit" next to "Basic Information"
    5. Enter the security code that has been sent to either your e-mail or your phone (whichever option you have set up)
    6. You can now change your e-mail

This allows you to change your e-mail, username and date of birth

If you are unable to sign in, you will have to contact an EA Game Adviser @ http://help.ea.com  and have them verify your account.  They will be able to merge the accounts, but there is a chance you could lose all of your progress in your games.  I would advise just recovering the password and doing my above steps to ensure you keep your progress.

He cannot sign in because he doesn't know the password. He cannot get his password because his old email he cannot use anymore because of deactivation. So how can he recover his password if the old email cannot recieve the "reset password" email?

If you read the rest of my reply above, you will see that I also gave him a way to do so if he is unable to sign in.

  • I'm having the same problem but with NHL 20.  I followed the steps provided.  My ea account and PSN are linked but I keep getting an unknown email that I cannot change when I try to play online.  This is frustrating.

I've followed the steps outlined in this thread, put in a help request with ea, deleted my game data, but no avail.  Keeps going back to this unknown email that I cannot change on the online screen.  Someone hacked my account is what I'm guessing.  I've found no fixes for this online except to sit and wait for ea support to respond to my complaint.

  • Same issue with me and Simmons tapped out. I have used an old freeserve email address to access this game from the start, I didn’t bother changing the email address on the game as it continued to work. Beginning to lose the will to live now dealing with EA customer services as rather than resetting the password/email address on this account they reset it on my usual EA/origin account instead, which I don’t use for simpsons tapped out. No idea how I could have made it clearer to them which account I needed resetting.

I have the same issue for madden 20, I have 2 Xbox ones consoles. One allows me to play madden but the new one asks me to do a log in verification but the email it has is about 17 years old and I don’t have a way to access it. I even contacted the company who bought the email server many moons ago and they said the account doesn’t exist on there servers anymore. I have made several cases to EA only to get the same no help reply. Saying with the information I provided we aren’t able to help with your request. No matter how much info I give them with (picture proof) they just close the case and I’m stuck not being able to play the both systems. It’s beyond frustrating because EA has no technical support call or chat system. It’s just file out a form and you can’t explain in writing what needs to be discussed on phone or chat.

I'm closing this thread to stop it being necroed.

If you have any issues with Star Wars: Battlefront please make a new topic about the issues you are having and what kind of steps you have tried to solve it.
