I have the same problem. Did you find a solution?

    Hi @Tannay786 @Lycaniac

Have you checked for any updates to Fallen Order? If non are available can you try searching for PS5 version (with your CD inserted if you have a disc) and confirm if you can download or purchase it?

No updates, and while I very much can find a combined PS4/PS5 version of the game on the store, I have to pay for it again to access it.

Edit: I own a digital copy, so no disc is inserted.

    @EA_Illium

Yes, I've tried restoring the licenses - several times.

The flow is indeed how it is supposed to work, yes. For other titles with a PS5-version upgrade this works fine, but not for STAR WARS Jedi: Fallen Order.

I've already been in contact with PlayStation Support and while they do agree that my digital purchase is entitled to the free PS5-version upgrade, they claim the problem is on EA's end.

  • I have also tried the solutions, but none of them work. I deleted the game and downloaded it again, too. That made no difference, either.

Usually, games of this nature (upgradable) would provide the option to choose between the PS4 and PS5 versions when you're about to download it, but this does not. And once downloaded, when it's sitting on your home screen and you press down, it only displays the full version (i.e., PS4/PS5 combined version) available for purchase.

I contacted Sony again, and they have said my case is sitting with the specialist team and once they have an update on the situation, they'll be in touch.

However, I do remember seeing the game sitting in my library a few weeks ago (I think), and without scrolling over it or anything, it would have the upgrade option showing in the icon. I always thought, ah I'll do it later, and then all of a sudden it stopped showing. So the change, at least on my end, has occurred over the past month or so, prior to that, the option was available. Thanks.

Hi @Tannay786, Would it be possible to get screenshots of how this looks for you that we could share with the team?

  • @EA_Illium sure, I have attached three photos from my PS5.

  • @EA_Illium , here are another three from the PS App.

  • @EA_Illium can we get an update on this, please?

Sony have also asked for screenshots, which I've provided, and then been informed that it's sitting with a specialist team, and that's it, I've heard nothing back.

    Is there a fix coming?

I got the PS5 upgrade for free the following way:

I put the PS4/PS5 version of the game in my cart on the PlayStation store on my PS5. When I saw it was the regular price I wanted to empty my cart but didn’t know how. So tried to empty the cart in the app on my iPhone and saw there that the game was free. So I downloaded the game via de iPhone app to my PS5 and now I have the PS5 version for free.

    hope this helps.

  • @EA_Illium just to make you aware, this has now been resolved. I tried it again today by chance, and the upgrade was available.

  • Thanks. But I think it's been resolved via the standard method. I went to the PS4 version in my library and then clicked on the PS5 version and it said Free PS5 Upgrade and I hit download.

Previously, it had the full price showing and there was no option to upgrade. Thanks for your post though.
