Re: Specific lot crash

@Henny015 is it a large lot with a lot of items on it and did you get any notifications that it was created with mods/CC or cheats?

You could try bulldozing the lot first, restarting the game and then building on it yourself or bulldozing the lot and then adding a different lot from the Gallery.

If the lot was designed on PC there might be a conflict. In this instance it might be better to search by console in the Gallery using the filters on the left hand side of the screen and if you add a new Gallery lot, choose one created on console to see if that makes a difference, that's if you haven't already tried these suggestions.

Here's the console troubleshooting steps too with more info on crashing:

Yea it’s a 40x30 lot and well when I do gallery searches I make everything for the PS console. I didn’t get any notification about the lot I spent a couple of hrs on it and it wa fine last night. Idk how to bulldozes the kid if I can’t even get into build mode or even go on the lot myself.

  • @Henny015 Thanks for confirming that, that means it's not caused by that specific lot being created with something on PC that's incompatible with console. Perhaps the creator has used a lot of packs or items as that can cause an issue.
The bulldozer tool only appears when the lot is loaded and I know there have been suggestions lately from players who would love to be able to bulldoze a lot from Manage Worlds, it would be very helpful in a situation like yours.

We have a master crashing thread here:

There are instructions there on how to share a PS save for investigation. A lot of console players are currently reporting various crashes.

But another suggestion could be that maybe your game storage could possibly use some extra attention. So if you clear items you don't need from your library, I even clear out pre made items and I don't save copies of my creations. Particularly if you use gallery lots and those are saved to your library I'd clear those out too. I check Other Households daily and clear out excessive numbers of Townies. Since adding For Rent and Lovestruck I'm noticing an increase in Other Households and my game begins to lag and may crash if I don't clear some out. I had to delete about a dozen of them just yesterday and I'd only checked them on Friday. I clear the inventories of previous households too, both build and personal inventories and even refrigerators. All of those items can cause lagging and crashing as you accumulate households with lots of stuff.

There are tips on the troubleshooting steps on post #2 to carry out a power cycle, check your game is updated and restore licences. Those steps are recommended as well when crashing on PS.

Good to know as I'm gathering multiple packs myself, and they aren't cheap 🤣 I use gallery quite a bit as I'm more a builder than gameplay mostly. So good to know that when uploading it'll save a copy 🙂
