Hi @animefoxgirl202 is your EA account linked and do you have online social features enabled in Game Options as per the attached image? Do you have the Events tab on your Sims 4 home screen?
You can try clearing locally saved data while your game is not running if you haven't tried that. On your console home screen select Sims 4 using the menu button (3 lines) and go to manage game and add-ons>saved data. Select the set of data next to your gamertag/username (ignore Reserved Space) and be careful to select delete from console only. Then immediately load up your game and it will sync up with the cloud.

If the Event still doesn't show up for you, please take a look through them and see which issue is affecting your game. You can join the relevant bug report by clicking Me Too on the first post on page 1 and add a reply if you'd like to do so. Bug reports are being updated all the time by EA so that's where to find up to date info.
