Hi @Elizabethlynn287 @Supercrown3435 @janettza @ShendiMarieSim
the seasons patch broke a lot of custom content and mods. You will need to find which ones are broken for you and update or remove them from your game.
Here's a list: http://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/941998/broken-updated-mods-seasons-june-2018-patch to help you narrow down which mods/cc need updating. There could be more.
I uninstalled MCCC and UI extensions mod and it works perfectly now 🙂
I've removed all my mods, including MCCC and the game still doesn't work. I have no idea what to do, but this is obviously a widespread problem. Have EA mentioned doing anything about it?

Hi
Try resetting your user files as described in the factory reset described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps-amp-Known-Issues/m-p/3621199
You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files and make a backup.
After renaming, repair your game by right clicking on the game in Origin.
Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.
- Options.ini (or just re-set all your settings manually)
- Tray Folder
- Screenshots/Videos/Custom music
- Rest of the save games (leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave and no longer needed - if you still have it)
- Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, make up ....
- Mods (one by one, making sure they all still work)
The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.

The exact same thing happened to me! I took some of my mods out and then it worked and took me all the way to my family, but I really love those mods and can’t really play without so I tried to add them back in and then the game wouldn’t even load at all after I opened it from Origin! I then deleted ALL of my mods, every single one and it still wouldn’t even open! Now I can’t play at all :/ and right before Seasons comes out too!
- crinrict7 years agoHero+Are you getting any error messages ? Did you try suggestion above as well as repairing your game ?
- Anonymous7 years ago
No, I’m not getting any error messages. I just go to Origin and click play and it just gets stuck and frozen and when I click on the sims icon it says “application not responding.” I am not very tech savvy though and don’t want to play around and risk losing any of my saved games. I thought it was an issue with my mods but I removed all of them and it still didn’t work!

Could you post your Computer's DxDiag?
To gather a DxDiag on your computer, please follow the steps here: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/pc/how-to-gather-dxdiag-information/
You can attach the txt file to your post directly.Just make a backup of everything to a different folder. Maybe get someone to help you.
I might have a TEMPORARY solution
So my game came up with the error "Unable to load game: error code 3". I backed up my saves and mods folder and then I made a new sims 4 folder, and it started working again, but I went to turn script mods again (it turns off when you reset the game) and then my game stopped working again. It might have to do with the mods, all my custom content is working, just not my mods, which I love. I haven't figured out if it's just script mods or if it's all of them, but script mods definitely don't work.
I fixed mine I know you might not want to delete all of your cc in your mods folder but I was desperate so I thought it could work I deleted everything in the mods folder and now I can play my games again
I think it's just script mods that aren't working because my custom content works fine with it, its only the mods
I've checked the list and most modders have already updated their mods after the seasons up date but are still not working and everything with the mods/CC and Sims itself

Have you tried the suggested tips in the thread?
Updating graphics drivers, turning off Origin In-game, a reset of the Sims 4 folder.
