So basically I have my mods in the mods folder for sims 4 but normal when I download a mod and put it in my folder it says sync pending until it turns into a green tick. It is not doing that anymore it is just saying sync pending and when I load up the game the mods is not in the game.

It looks like you have some backup software that automatically backup items in that folder.
Anyway to the part of your question that is relevant to the game. If your CC came in a packed format such as zip or rar then it needs to be unpacked before it can be seen in the game. Always read installation instructions where you get it.

@Neeks2021 Are you using OneDrive? The green check mark means the file has synced to OneDrive. I do NOT sync my files so I never sign into OneDrive no matter how many times Microsoft nags me. I think the file is not accessable until after the sync process. I think files in the user documents folder are checked for new and/or changed files and then moved and/or copied to the OneDrive folder and I think the game then starts using the OneDrive folder (not sure on this because I don't use OneDrive. See if you have a mods folder in the user OneDrive folder. If you do try putting the mods in the user OneDrive documents mods folder. If you don't sync files then sign out of OneDrive or disable it from starting at boot.in the task manager. hth
Yes I think that what it was because all my mods have sync up now. I literally did it yesterday lol. Thank you soo much for your help🙏🏽
